Three Sky Sports Fantasy Football differentials for Double Gameweek 25

The business end is in sight for Sky Sports Fantasy Football managers as we enter the final third of 2020/21.

Here are three relatively low-owned picks for the upcoming Double Gameweek and beyond.

Harvey Barnes – £8.2m

Harvey Barnes has racked up 27 points from his last two fixtures, scoring twice, assisting a goal and earning a Man of the Match award in both games against Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Only two per cent of the top 1,000 players in the game have recruited the future England international, so he could be a potential steal and a differential at £8.2m. He has found the net on nine occasions this season, with four assists to his name.

Put these figures into Fantasy Football points and it translates to 143. For context, this is just two points behind Manchester City high-flyer Ilkay Gundogan (£8.2m) and it places Barnes third in the midfielder charts this campaign. If you are jumping off Leeds or Brighton players, this is one of the leading value-for-money candidates to consider.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – £9.3m

Calvert-Lewin offsets longest goalless streak with another Fantasy assist

The Everton striker is back amongst our thoughts and considerations, having come off the bench to play a superb cameo in Everton’s win at Anfield in the Merseyside derby, winning a penalty and earning an assist in the process.

It was his first appearance in three after a period out injured, before which he netted in consecutive matches against Leeds and Manchester United. The Fantasy Football returns may come hand in hand with his comeback.

We must not forget that the England forward has scored 13 Premier League goals this season. Despite this, he is in just 0.3 per cent of the top 1,000 teams, with an individual gameday coming up against Southampton on Monday. His ownership should increase anywhere between the five and 10 per cent mark by this time next week.

Timo Werner – £11.1m

Gameweek 9 Scout Picks built on Chelsea and Everton attacking double-ups 1

Ahead of the Southampton fixture on Saturday, Timo Werner had registered 31 points from his last four matches, which included a goal alongside three assists. It is easy to forget that he has supplied eight goals this term, on top of the five that he has scored.

After Chelsea navigate their way through tricky clashes with Manchester United and Liverpool in quick succession, there is some light at the end of the tunnel with Everton, Leeds, West Brom, Crystal Palace, Brighton, West Ham and Fulham all to follow.

Similar to Calvert-Lewin, Werner’s selection percentage (currently in just 2.2 per cent of the top 1,000 teams) will increase quite drastically.

The below worth the BB? I'll be using TC or BB this week (saving FH for 29 and WC in 30/31 probably).

    Martinez
    Cancelo Stones AWB
    Gundo Salah Bruno Barnes
    Kane DCL Bamford

    Pope, Raphinha, Dallas, Kilman.

    1. Kilman > Coleman (-4) - BB
    2. Dallas > Reguillon/Pereira (-4) - BB
    3. Save hit and TC

Anyone know the defensive situation at Palace? Was all set to ship out Ward this week but then he played Monday night.
Can shift him to a Fulham def for a -4 which is likely worth it if he doesn’t play either game but probably not if he plays at least one of them.

I believe both are nailed. I'm leaning to Soyuncu but waiting to see if a gwk28 double is released officially before the deadline.

I don't get Aina. Fixtures kill it for him for me and not interested having him for 29

Who to TC this week honestly feels like perhaps the most difficult and important FF decision I've had to make.

There's a case for at least Son, Bruno, Kane, Gundo, Salah.

The poll has people strongly in favour of Kane, but Spurs form ain't great and Burnley are a good defensive team, and Fulham are not so bad in general these days. It definitely doesn't feel like Kane is lock for (c).

Definitely a lot of options but that's definitely a good thing! Will be nice to see a decent mix of TC options along with BBC this week, from what most are saying here it seems Kane, DCL and Bruno are the most likely choices for TC but some going for Salah and even KDB too. Will be a wild week that's for sure

every year i do the same method, picking Kane TC when they doubles. But now I feel the same as you. and now I have to make a -4 change unfortunatelly

People who do not TC this week have the least chance to succeed with so many good options. Kane will have the biggest vote and if he fails, there are very few winners. Irrespective of the form, betting against the majority is a risky choice.

Kane's EO in top 10k was only 18% last week. That'll clearly go up but it was a lot lower than I thought it would be, seems like everyone on here owns him when the reality in top10k is very different

      I am thinking about it.

Proper KANE FEAR though if I go without.

Spurs are dreadful at the moment, with Burnley and Fulham no pushovers.

But then, all he needs is a goal and an assist over the two games to make the TC worth it.

      ARGH.

      DECISIONS.

Got Martinez, Konsa, Dallas, Raph, Kane, Bamford, Watkins at the moment. Can get 1 or 2 more with FT. FH in another DGW or FH in the BGW and take Dallas out this week possibly for Keane.

    2. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 3 Years
      3 years, 22 days ago

There's another BGW (33 I think, more options than 29 available but no City or Spurs which will inevitably cause some trouble), but there are only two other games to be rearranged at the minute so nothing else is likely

      1. Bucket Man

If you think you can set yourself up fine for BGW29 without needing FH and can manage fine in 33 without it either then I'd say give it a go now or just save for a random week. You never know what might happen, might have a player two suspended or a couple of short-term injuries, or might just have a week where you're not too keen on most of your team's fixtures and maybe have a lot of players playing against each other and few like it'll be a bad week

Ouch! Tough to drop raphinha but wanted Barnes and didn’t want to lose any of my other mids. I would be tempted to do both, Watkins and reguilon have good fixtures and an extra game so increases the chances of it paying off!

I knew there was a risk with benching Barnes and having strong front 8 but wanted him in place for double and next few fixtures are decent as well. Might go for both of the transfers but also know Leeds could do to Villa what they did to Southampton on Tuesday

*Also Pereira has started in the last 4 games. No reason to stay on the bench.

For Pereira, he has had his rest in the cup games in between the league games. The double in 26 has a 3 day turn around. There is a risk there imo

Let other people be afraid of Reguilon uncertainty. Be brave! I'm gonna buy him.

Going big on Villa! Not sure that's worth a -8 but if they get a double in 28 and you need them for 29 then I can see the appeal

Latest WC draft and your thoughts would be highly appreciated!

    Areola
    Cancelo - Stones - Digne - Pereira
    KDB - Fernandes - Barnes - Pereira
    Kane - Vardy

    Johnstone, Nothing, Nothing and Nothing

    0.1 ITB

Surely downgrade Johnstone to 3.9 GK if you are already going down the route to have bench fodder for the other positions

Am I G2G? 0.3m ITB & Used FT to do Ings --> Kane.

    Martinez*
    Targett* Dias* Shaw*
    Salah* Bruno* Gundy* Barnes*
    Watkins* Kane (C)* Bamford

    McCarthy Raphina Dallas Vestergaard

(P.S - Used WC in 25 and going BB 26)

Thoughts on taking this -8? Planning to BB this week, use FT's to make a team for GW29 and then WC for GW30. No other chips left. Any other suggestions? 1FT, 0.3 ITB.

    Werner + Bissouma + Grealish -> DCL + Barnes + Gundogan

    Ederson Button
    Dallas Rudiger Holding Lowton Kilman
    Salah Fernandes Son Grealish Bissouma
    Werner Ings Bamford

Please excuse the slightly long-winded nature of this post, but I could do with some clear-eyed advice as I am losing my mind.

I am locked in a dead heat battle for my minileague (there's about 20 pts in it - I'm ahead). I haven't won it since 2017, so this is my main goal at this point. Rising through the ranks will be a bonus (I'm about 350k OR at present).

My rival has used his wildcard and free hit already. I have all my chips intact - current plan is to WC30/31 to set up for the rest of the season, and FH in 33 (or a double as yet unscheduled).

Rival has a good team, with 2 FTs and 4.0 ITB with which I expect he will purchase Kane, and one other doubler, probably in defence. He doesn't have enough cash to go directly from Antonio > Kane, so it will be a downgrade elsewhere (or, I suppose, he could go for Vardy). I expect he will use either TC or BB (most likely TC). This is his team:

    Martinez / Johnstone
    Cancelo / Mee / Digne
    Sterling / Gundogan / Bruno / Neto
    DCL / Bamford / Kane* (I assume)

    Subs: Johnstone, Dallas, Saka, Coufal

This is my team. I have been priced out of the -8 I had intended, so the -4 option I had on the backburner seems best. But do I TC or BB with this team (assuming I go ahead with the transfers as planned - Antonio > Kane and Bednarek > Targett)?

    Martinez
    Cancelo / Stones / Shaw / Targett
    Salah / Gundogan / Bruno / Raphinha
    DCL / Kane

Subs: Pope / Bamford / Dallas / Saka

Having Pope, Bamford and Dallas benched seems like an awful waste, and I could TC a City player in their next double.

Only advice I would give you is don't even look at rivals team, just play your own game and try and maximise points you get and the rest will take care of itself! For your own team, I like the moves and I think I would BB as well. I might even be tempted to do Saka to Lookman for an additional hit

Thank you. That is much appreciated. I fear not having Digne! I have been tempted by Saka > Lookman, so good to have a bit of reinforcement for that one.

Digne is a good option but Everton are also very inconsistent so don't think there's any guarantees that he scores big this week....it obviously could happen but your defence is very strong so will score well.

Thank you. I think you have made up my mind for me... Bednarek > Targett, Saka > Lookman, Antonio > Kane (-8) and BB! Should be fun. Now just to decide who to captain...

    Current team (playing BB):

    Martinez/McCarthy
    Dias/Cancelo/Shaw/Rudiger/Dallas
    Salah/Bruno/Gundo/Barnes/Raphinha
    Kane/DCL/Bamford

Any obvious moves? I’m considering another keeper, Digne & Watkins. I’m not too fussed about hits as it’s a DGW.

Villa are up against Leeds and Sheffield United(they have both conceded the most goals from set-pieces, 11 each)

Screams a Mings/Konsa goal in the DGW to me...

McCarthy > Areola worth a -4 on BB?
