Fantasy Football Scout have once again teamed up with the popular GoalScorer Challenge competition this season. It will be the biggest GSC season ever, with a massive 56 Gameweeks including international weeks to help fill the time in those quiet periods away from FPL.

We will be giving away a Premium Membership to the best manager every month to go with the game’s £500 top prize for the campaign’s overall winner.

If you have not played before, GoalScorer Challenge is a very simple and free game. Every week you pick one player from the Premier League who you think is most likely to score. The more goals that player racks up, the more points you get. But pick wisely, as you can only select each player once per season. 

There are three types of Gameweeks:

  • Premier League – Most weekends there will be a full round of league fixtures which will all be included. If there is a full round of fixtures during midweek (for example over the Christmas period) these will be counted as a separate Gameweek, while there are spaces this time around for additional midweek rounds at the end of the season.
  • International – During international breaks, you still have to pick a Premier League player, but for their country. This season includes five international weeks plus seven rounds of the World Cup.
  • Cup – On FA Cup weekends, you are again limited to players playing for Premier League teams. The EFL Cup final will also be included as it will take place alongside a regular round of Premier League matches.

GSC is free to play and it only takes a minute to enter each week. You can create mini-leagues and play against your mates, too.

    Loving the Wardisen combo, that’s my team set:

    Ward (Iversen)
    TAA Perisic Doherty (Walker, Williams)
    Salah Martinelli Neto Bailey (Andreas)
    Kane Haaland Jesus

    Doherty is my punt, he could be immense when starting. If I get cold feet I’ll go Son over Kane and downgrade Doherty to a 4.5 or upgrade Iversen to Sanchez

        Nice..im going with Saka based on Pre season form but thats the benefit of the 8m mid slot, can switch around. I may even go for Foden/Mahrez for GW2 after watching their first game.

      Solid team but of Arsenal blank at Palace you could have a slowish start...in saying that I'm starting without any Arsenal so if they smash Palace I could be in trouble...GL mate!

          Yeah, I think going without Jesus is a risk worth taking, can see myself getting him after 2-3 GWs for 7.8-7.9m
          Even if he scores v Palace, his ownership is so high a price rise is unlikely so can jump on board GW2/3 regardless if I feel he's 'essential'.

              He's looked super sharp (as have Arsenal) and preseason is all we can go on...main reasons I'm risking going without is because of the Palace away fixture really and the fact I'll almost definitely be wildcarding in GW2/3

    Really down to one last spot, an 8.0 mid. Currently on Diaz but have also gone back & forth with Foden & Mount (already have Saka). My gut is saying roll with Foden but, it not being my first rodeo, nervous about listening to gut. What say y’all?

    $0 ITB. Bench Boost activated. Son probably Captain (or Kane).

    Assuming the BB is played, the plan is to lighten up a few of these to template / newly emerged cheapies over the following few weeks and bolster the midfield....Diaz...Maddison....Saka on the shopping list.

    Would love to get to KDB at some point too......happy to take the risk on Mo and try to make hay with the extra funds.

        Thanks for that. There is an easy 0.5 to save there on the GK's but I like having two that play and Newcastle have a great run of fixtures early. If they aren't sound though Pope will go early. If I swap him before the start I would replace Cash with Trippier.

        The double Villa defence is not something that will likely remain in place long - I don't love it either.

        But they have a very soft Bournemouth first up, the pair of them are quite gung-ho so hoping for both def & attacking returns and a fast start.

        With the BB in play GW1 looking for some all-over solidity before lightening up in def and fwd.
