FPL Gameweeks 11-13 rotation: Which teams are most at risk?

The second midweek round of Premier League fixtures is here and for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, the spectre of rotation looms large.

Much-changed starting XIs are nothing new, of course, particularly those named by the seven English sides involved in European club competition.

Chelsea’s Gameweek 10 line-up, for example, showed seven changes from the one sent out by Graham Potter the previous weekend.

Here we take a look at turnaround times between the league fixtures in Gameweeks 11-13 and what happened when we last had a three-match week in Gameweeks 4-6.

GAMEWEEK 11-16 OVERVIEW

Thanks to Legomane’s graphic above (click to expand), we can see how much rest each team gets between their fixtures from now until the World Cup.

We’ve included Gameweeks 9-10 here, too, as it provides a good indication as to why Graham Potter rang the changes on Saturday: the Wolves match was the filling in a Wednesday-Saturday-Tuesday sandwich for Chelsea, with just two full days of recovery on either side of it.

The Blues’ run from Gameweek 11 through to their Champions League tie against RB Salzburg sets alarm bells ringing, while Tottenham Hotspur‘s Gameweek 14 clash with Bournemouth might also be a rotation risk should the Lilywhites be needing results from the two European ties on either side of it.

Manchester City are the only team without a fixture next midweek due to their Gameweek 12 blank, while it seems likely that Pep Guardiola will be able to field some second-string players or at least manage minutes in this week’s return fixture against FC Copenhagen given that qualification for the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds is close to being assured.

      Yes. Playing closer to goal though Zaha needs to be more consistent. Eze's value as a footballer not reflected in FPL for me. Quality player and inly gonna get better.

    Had a great couple weeks thanks to Foden, love my team but need to replace Diaz now he's injured.

    I have cancelo, kdb, haaland, Jesus, martinelli, saliba

    Plan was cancelo to guehi this week, not gonna do that now. Back up plan was kdb to trossard/zaha but after seeing pool yesterday I don’t wanna lose him either.

    I have 2FT and 0 itb. Have to move city or arsenal assets this week to field 11 on gw 12 but feel that could backfire badly. Any other move means playing

        Problem is I lose a lot of value with saliba. Got him at 4.5. And frankly I’m not convinced by defensive options at that price since I have 0 itb. Anyone I bring likely doesn’t keep a cs, and isn’t worth the transfers to buy and then sell as I want saliba after.

            I d rather get trossard or zaha if selling kdb. But I fear kdb will outscore any options this week. Though selling kdb means I get 11 out gw12, so will one week of kdb outscore two weeks or trossard or zaha? You would think not

            And I know zaha and trossard aren’t any surer than son, but I prefer their fixtures, and I’ll be able to release more cash to upgrade other positions with them, and I’ll be less mad when they inevitably disappoint since they’re cheaper

        For next week I’ll probably sell kdb and martinelli to trossard and zaha or kdb and Jesus to trossard and Nunez. But if I don’t move one person this gw then I’m down to 11 next gw.

          I'm not sure fielding less than 11 will hurt with so many taking hits and everyone playing their full bench

          A lot of benchers are injured or non-players anyway now

            Yeah. I question the point of even moving out our arsenal and city players only to buy them back a week later. That’s 2 FT plus hits to mive out and bring back the best players in the game, sacrificing value in the process. And the replacements are people like zaha and trossard etc who aren’t known for their consistency. Might be a losing proposition financially and points wise.
            People who started moving out players 1-2 weeks ago are already down points and money because of it

              Exactly. Hard to predict though, Foden and Marty weren't playing at their current level ahead of most people's choosing which course to take

      Big problem with 12 is everyone is playing benchers. You could address that this week with 1FT

      Alternatively, is there an optimal GK you could switch to?

        Might just use the Ft to move pope to a cheap gk to release funds rather than burn it. Either that or sell kdb for trossard and hope for the best.

          I've considered the Pope move but nobody leaps out apart from Lloris who is too expensive

          If you are selling KdB in 12 will you need extra cash?

            Nah! I don’t plan to get him back after. In gw13 or 14 I’ll get foden instead. So selling kdb gives me the cash to upgrade other positions. Either Jesus to Nunez or martinelli to zaha.
            But still pope hasn’t been worth the money. I’d rather have a 4.5 and money in the bank to upgrade other positions. Have been somewhat hamstrung with cash since I bought him
