G2G? Got 2 FT's and all chips but don't see the need (0.0 ITB)

    Kepa
    Trippier | Veltman | Shaw
    Rashford | Salah | Martinelli | Saka
    Haaland | Felix | Toney

    Ward | White | Andreas | Bueno

You know you don't get points for unused chips at the end of the season right? When are you planning on using them?

Decent 11 this week. Could make that a decent 15 and BB

City/Chelsea then Arsenal do not look good for Liverpool. I think its worth it because it gives you another £3m ish to spend, which I am sure gets you more points, plus Estupinan has at least another few doubles to play

Barring unexpected injuries, which two of these would you do for a BB?

    a. Gabriel to Shaw/James/Chilwell
    b. Mee to Shaw/James/Chilwell
    c. Botman to Shaw/James/Chiwell
    d. Martinelli to March/Mac Allister

Any two leaves cash for Watkins/Toney to Haaland in 30
    or
    e. Hold the defence, do Martinelli to Bruno and roll a FT (so can get Haaland in 30)

    Kepa, Raya
    Gabriel, Mee, Botman, Trippier, Estup
Martinelli, Mitoma, Rashford (c), Saka, Maddison
    Kane, Toney, Watkins

I think Mee is my favourite of the three defenders. Will lose a second one if I can't find something better to do further forward. Gabriel can continue starting after 29 and Botman is cheap enough to bench.

I don't want to - only player i've had all season - but his minutes are under threat and Arsenal's fixtures do turn tougher soon.

I think he’s going to be played alongside Trossard for the foreseeable now. Winning combo. Don’t think reduced minutes will be a concern any more.

As a Marti seller this weekend (that fell for the thinking he would see reduced minutes due to EL exertions), I also agree. Dont sell him. The guy is one of the first on the teamsheet for Arteta right now. Wouldnt surprise me if he hauls big in the coming weeks. March is a stressful own. I know which one Id rather own.

Yeah, I fell for something similar and moved the armband off Saka. That said, Arsenal's run from 33 to 36 is tough (arguably, the kind of tough run which makes or breaks champions and, in this case it most likely will) so I am not averse to ditching the triple-up

I think it might be the right time to lose Gabriel, given Arsenal's upcoming schedule. If you want to keep 2 ARS, I would definitely stick with Saka & Martinelli. I do love those BHA mids but I think I'd go for A & B - Chilwell & James here.

    Kepa
    Zin Mee Tripp Burn
    Saka Maddi Marti

Looks good. Possibly improvements if you have transfers (e.g. I don't fancy a Brentford double up when both games are against your attackers) but a solid team if that's the final line-up

  7. Babit1967

Who would you bench from Toney & Kane?

I know Toney has the double but the fixtures aren’t ideal. Does seem stupid benching a dgw attacker though.

    1. DDG and Chillwell

    3. Kepa and Chillwell

    Also, who from

    A) Macallister
    B) March

      A

But didnt see yesterdays Bri game. I know March scored but he can dodge points also. Watched March v closely in his previous league game. Seems to be an assist the assister. Similar to what Odegaard is doing at Arsenal. Feeding someone else, who then feeds the scorer.

3 for me - Casemiro will be a big loss for United so I wouldn't be too hopeful for a CS in 29. Yes Chelsea games not easy either, but comparatively I think they are more likely to hold the line.

I think A but I read that he dropped back into his deeper role at the weekend so maybe monitor that?

    Current line up for BBGW29:
    *double +flagged

    Raya*
    Chilwell* Estupinan* Mee* Trippier*
    Macallister* Rashford* Saka Martinelli
    Watkins* Kane Toney*

    Subs:
    Ward*, Gabriel, Martinelli, Almiron+

Not sure best option between Mitoma or March - one of these allows Haaland back in for Toney/Watkins GW30.

Was thinking about bringing in Maddison but makes it trickier to get Haaland but then Brighton have BGW32.

    Any suggestions?

      If go Mitoma over March.

I’m not sold on Maddison. And I own him. Though LEI were poor at weekend (again) and he is on 8 yellows and showing signs of frustration. Rodger’s also flip flops over who play up front

      I think the suggestions are

      1. Let us know how you cloned Martinelli
      2. Ward and Almiron to a GK of choice and Mitoma

Just to add, Brighton will blank in 32, but also likely to double another three times - so if you can manage that then you'll do well

Should I get rid off TAA as a part off a -12 upgrade for my BB team and for future fixtures?

    Transfers would then be:

    Ward+TAA+Ake+Kane
    To
    Neto+Shaw+Chilweel+Watkins

My team would then look like:

    Neto
    Shaw-Trippier-Chilwell
    Saka-Rashford-Gakpo-Mitoma-Macallister
    Haaland-Watkins

    Bench: Ramsdale-Mee-Estupinan-Gnonto

Looking at Trent in isolation, City/Chelsea then Arsenal do not look good for Liverpool CS prospects and he's not showing anywhere near value at the other end of the pitch.

Not sure i endorse that -12 though - might be tempted to hold Kane and limit it to a -8

If I owned Martinelli, i wouldnt sell him. The guy is playing great football and getting into dangerous positions on the pitch.

    Best move for DGW?
Transferring after DGW Haaland in anyway.
    A) Zinc -> Shaw, after Toney -> Haaland
    B) Martinelli -> Bruno, after Kane -> Haaland
    C) Kane -> Isak
    D) Any combo of these for -4

So you have 1FT to make correct? If so, prob Marti to bruno has most upside. Dont think you will be holding Bruno though. Utd seem to have gotten a bit more spotty in recent weeks.

I would possible do Kane to Isak so.

Kane doesnt look like he is in a team that's coming by results easily. His most recent 2 goal game was the first one in many weeks. So i think Isak could do really well against Kane over 29. Isak is hungry and it shows.

    Thoughts please:-

    Raya (x2)
    Trippier (x2), Estu (x2), Mee (x2), Chilwell (x2)
    Maddison (x2), Rashford (x2), Mitoma (x2), Saka
    Toney (x2), Watkins (x2)

    Subs
    Kepa, Ode, Kane, Zinc

No bench boost, do I keep Kane or bench? Any transfers needed?

    1. Fit_to_drop

Think i would play Kepa. Dont think Raya will keep 2 CS's. I know he might get save points, but so too can Kepa. Our squads are almost identical bar 2. I am BBing this week (if they dont arrive home from the IB crocked).

Was absolutely set on BB but now with Ward being dropped I have 2 non playing on my bench - probably an IB injury away from BB in 34 now

Assume we can write off Ward as an option for the short term? Needed him for 32 aswell

    1. GC123
      • 2 Years

Hasn’t changed my plan. Will just bring in Steele who has two games. Not sure who your outfield non-playing sub is but could consider a DGW player for -4. Who says 34 won’t see an injury or someone dropped. Each to their own but if I can get 10 doublers out and 5 strong SGW players then I’ll play it in 29

Just bite the bullet now and ditch Ward. You need replacement twice and this is dgw. -4 to get 3 more games is worth it, unless your new gk has expected pts per match below 1.34.

Take a hit if necessary and get it done. Sooner the BB is done, sooner you can have fodder again as your 5th defender and midfielder. The longer you leave it, the longer your hands and value will be tied into your 34 BB.

    Afternoon all,

    Interesting weekend,

Green arrow to just outside 50k despite taking a hit, having only 9 and moving captain to Kane from Saka on deadline.

This season is really showing the value of being patient, ive held the likes of Martinelli , Saka, White , Kane , Salah most of the year and made big gains on people who used transfers to move those around,

Again ive made so many terrible decisions before and blew away all my chips early (Wc1 week2, FH week 3, bb week 15, wc 2 week 17) - this made me change my playing style to me more patient

I was over 3mil week 8 also playing against the field minus those chips so changed my playing style (bar week 17 lol) so the comeback without chips has been beyond expectations.

Most likely Kane to Ferguson in 29. And really like my team going forward.

    Steele
    Dunk Mee Trippier
    Saka Salah Maddison Rashford
    Ferguson Toney Waktins

    Ward Martinelli white kilman

Made a certain to change brief plan for the upcoming dgws

    30 :Toney > Haaland
    31 : Waktins > Darwin
    32 : Dunk > Liverpool def, 11 players
    33: Saka > Brighton mid
    34 : Kilman > Shaw
35: Ederson + City defender in
    36: Fernandes for Maddison

    1. Hairy Potter

Looks good. You might need a FT on a keeper if Ward doesn't get his place back by 32. Not tempted to go straight to Haaland this GW and then assess moves for other strikers after that? Although not having a Brighton attacker for DGW29 is a risk.

      1. FPL_trail_runner
        • 3 Years

Yep have looked at the Ward issue but ultimately not worth a hit i feel , play steele until something changes and nobody in 32

I have another option for 29 which i also like

        Saka + Martinelli > Bruno + March -4

        Kane > Haaland in 30

Review likes this move alot and seems i would be up at least 10 points even with the hit so will leave it for 2 weeks and see

        1. Hairy Potter
          • 9 Years

Shipping Arsenal players without a FH for 32 feels like a gamble, especially given their form, but could pay off with Brighton and Man Utd DGW fixtures. Without BB, I think GW29 is about damage limitation and setting team up for future BGW and DGWs.

          1. FPL_trail_runner
            • 3 Years

If i move out Saka & Martinelli for 29 i would have 2FT in 32 to get one back

Following the review projections i would be up over 30 -40 points by removing Saka & Martinelli for 29

Seems crazy but dgw for United + Brighton and Arsenal fixtures make it look possible

Will to have to see how it goes. Hoping i can maintain my rank by week 31 and then its hopefully attack time

Great comeback but tbh I think the next few weeks could be where the lack of chips comes back to bite you. I do like the Kane - Ferguson move though

        Cheers

Ya thankfully i can sit back and see what happens for 2 weeks

Wouldnt mind a few spanners in peoples plans for 29

May no go with Ferguson, as review really really likes this instead :

        29 : Saka + Martinelli > March + Bruno -4
        30 : Kane > Haaland (c)
        31 : roll
        32 : Bruno + Kilman > Martinelli + TAA (2 FTS) play 11

Just those 4 weeks alone put me up (according to review) around
20 points even after the hit in 29.

Bruno is way overrated by some models though I think. Just realised earlier he's top of RMT for next week. Kind of agree with Hairy about shipping Arsenal players without a FH. Martinelli - March I quite like, but not convinced by Saka - Bruno. GL whichever you decide

In isolation i agree Saka is a much better prospect than Bruno its just looking at it over a couple of weeks it may not be so clear cut for Saka

            LEEDS, whu, liv +4 points
            v
            new+ BRE EVE nfo

and then Bruno becomes Martinelli in 32.

Bruno didn't look like getting any attacking returns before the red cards. I wouldn't sell Saka even for the extra better fixtures.

Havent seen any of yesterdays games

Just saw Bruno scored but it would have no impact on my plans to be honest either way.

Pens and extra fixtures are always worth chasing

Is Wellbeck injured and Ferguson guaranteed to start? I am considering getting Isak, especially if they get another dgw soon.

No i just liked the idea of getting a bunch of cash with the ferguson move

But i may not do it and instead get Bruno + March

Don't think Welbeck is injured - started v Palace & came off the bench yesterday. Ferguson not nailed exactly but looking increasingly like 1st choice

Congrats for rank gains! I have had horrible season for different reasons and been little frustrated and doing some too hasty transfers. More patient approach would have often been better.

Will be heavily against the template (bench boost) next gameweek. How much of a beating do I take?

Double Chelsea def vs Double United def
    Arsenal def vs N/A
    (Double) Brentford/Newcastle def vs N/A
    Saka vs Salah
Extra Mid (probs Arsenal or Brighton) vs N/A
    Watkins vs Haaland

        De Gea
        Shaw, Estupinan, Trippier
        Salah, Rashford, Mitoma, Martinelli
        Haaland, Kane, Toney

+ 1 FT, about 1m ITB and no bench. Probs go Andreas > March and bench whoever gets injured on IB.

What are people with all chips left planning to do? I have them all and following bench atm for 29, with1FT. So, thinking maybe TC is better than BB or go without any chips and probably FH32, WC33, BB34, TC37 or something like that. Any advice is much appreciated!

    Bench for 29:
    Ward, Odegaard, White, Tarkowski

(other sgw players are Kane and Saka in the 11)

      BB29
      Probably TC34
      Probably FH37
WC likely to be somewhere between 30-33

Who would you TC this week? Captaincy is tough. I'm going to TC Haaland in 34, assuming WHU(H) is added; BB29 & FH32.

Agree its a bad week for TC - lot of good options but no great option. Haaland vs Fulham and West Ham/Brighton (based on Ben Crellin) looks ripe to me unless City are focussing on other competitions by then.

Bench Boost team G2G? No free transfers available and fingers crossed team remains injury free.

    Haaland Kane

On BB for 29 -1 FT and 6.3 IB

    Raya (x2)
    Trippier (x2), Estu (x2), Mee (x2), Chilwell (x2), Botman (x2)
    Rashford (x2), Mitoma (x2)
    Toney (x2), Watkins (x2), Kane

    Subs
    Ward (x2), Ode, Martinelli, Saka

Asuuming no injuries over break, best GK to replace Ward:
    1. Steele - nailed?
    2. Kepa.
    3. Neto
    4. Other?

    BenchBoosting this week.

I think as much as I'd want Steele short term. I'd then be stuck with him til the end of the season and he'd be using one of the precious BHA slots.

    Steele Raya
    Trippier Mee Zinchenko Botman Chillwell
Saka Mac Allister Mitoma Rashford Saka
    Toney Watkins Kane

Got to BB, right? Will then get Haaland back and start offloading Brighton assets

    1. Ha.

One of the Saka's should be Maddison

  26. Atimis

Pretty set on Zinchenko to Shaw. Said that, would you take a hit to get any additional doubler? Using BB.

Bruno in means I have to take a hit before GW30 to bring Haaland back. Been thinking also about another Bri mid, just fixtures after DGW ain't looking good.

    Kepa/Raya
    Chilwell/Trippier/Estupinan/Botman/(Zinchenko)
    Saka/Maddison/Rashford/Martinelli/March
    Kane/Toney/Watkins

Greetings! Any early thoughts on what seems more urgent here? Plan is to bench boost.

    Raya , Ward
    Chilwell, Trippier, Gabriel, Mee, Burn
    Saka, Ødegaard, Maddison, Rashford, Mitoma
    Haaland, Kane, Toney

    £1.0 in the bank

Ward to DDG before getting priced out, perhaps (got just the money)? Toney to Isak to avoid any YC risk?

Risky break to rush any exact money moves & plenty of alternatives to DDG (or alternative routes to DDG) so hold those moves til next week. Nothing here besides Ward would be really problematic to BB, but if nothing crops up then I like Isak, or maybe Gabriel - Estupinan

    Kepa, Steele
    Mings, Mee, Estu, Trippier, Burn
    Salah, Mitoma, Jensen, Saka*, Odegaard*
    Watkins, Toney, Kane*

    1 FT

I will do Odegaard to Rashford and BB with Saka and Kane as my only single gws

GTG? I'd think so, but opinions will be appreciated

Not sure if I should get rid of Odegaard for another DGW player?

    Or

    A. Kane > Isak
    B. Zinc > Shaw
    C. Odegaard > Maddison/Bruno

1FT and will BB GW29 and also FH in 32.

    Current Team

    Chilwell / Trippier / Schar / Estupinan

    Mitoma / March / Rashford

    Watkins / Kane / Toney

    Kepa | Saka | Odegaard | Zinc

Much as I rate Maddison (originally intended to cap him for 29), Leicester's form, plus his performance v BRE, and the 8 YC, are starting to pile up as factors against him. Also with Ty Adams out, Leeds will be a lot more open through the middle. So I think prefer A to B to C here
