Is Darwin to Jackson worth a punt? Sheffield maybe not pushovers now, trying to go differential, will Darwin play vs Utd? Or will Gakpo start like last season??

A Chelsea concede too many despite good fixture run & Sanchez went off with an injury but not sure how bad.

    Who to sell for Porro?
    1) Colwill (SHU) -- good fixtures coming up
    2) Gabriel (BHA) -- pretty secure starter; boring and 1 CS in eight gws
    3) Tsimikas (MUN) -- assist potential but tougher fixtures; rotation
    4) Lascelles (FUL) -- makes the most sense, but leaves little ITB

    Which scores more?

    A) Darwin (Man Utd, H) + Tavernier (Luton, H) + 4 points
    B) Saka (Brighton, H) + Solanke (Luton, H)

Seems obvious but wary of hits as having a terrible time of it

Could next GW be Deja Vu?

    Mass transfers out of Haaland
Haaland fit to play vs Palace.

I planned free hit next GW, however, with me shipping Alvarez, Mbuemo, does it make sense to use the FH this week and bench Haaland next week?

I have plenty of players suspended.

    1. lugs
      • 6 Years
      6 months, 11 days ago

i'd try hold your FH if possible, i think its best using the FH in big blank weeks so you don't need to waste transfers preparing for them, others think its best in big dgw's for the big upside, surely you can scrimp up enough players to limp through next week and keep your FH for a more strategic time ?

        I agree

a double gw can work but the big blank in the FA Cup quarter final weekend is the obvious play.

          • 6 Years

yeah the problem i find with the big dgw strat is that you're likely to have loads of dgw players anyway and you can end up selling perfectly viable players that haul for others who don't, plus a FH in a dgw blocks you from TC or BB too

A differences have chipped in I'd say, after watching a reading.

The effect of Tom Cairney coming into the XI has had quite an effect. Not just because he's been good, but because of how much better it makes the interplay in midfield & to the wings.

Iwobi has been good, Willian has been good. Even Jiminez has decided to turn up.

Yeah for sure Tosin is another who has helped - he definitely makes them better at set pieces.

      Just an impressive upturn!

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 3 Years

Cairney has made a huge difference from what I've seen and read, Wilson too I think. Wonder how Willian potentially being out will affect the side

      2. Hooky
        • 9 Years

Willian will be lucky to get back in the team the way that Wilson played when he came on. Agreed on Cairney though, he really makes them tick when he plays.

Nah Willian has been great & Wilson whilst good, often has fitness issues.

But for a short stint I'm sure Wilson can do a job. Goal & assist after he came on at least.

Hi guys, just thinking of some moves here.

    Dubravka

    Zouma - Trippier - Gabriel
    Palmer - Salah - Son - Saka - Gordon
    Haaland - Watkins
    ________________________________
    Areola: Archer: Baldock: Kabore

Clearly the area of concern is defence, so thinking a straight Zouma > Porro move for free.

But then got Haaland to contend with also, looking like a -4 at least?

Squad is kind of falling apart..
Haaland out (if injured) for Watkins/Solanke and then possibly a -4 to change Alvarez as well.
    Anything looking more obvious.

    Dubravka.
    Gabriel, Trippier, Tsimikas.
    Salah, Luiz, Palmer, Son, Martinelli.
    Haaland, Alvarez.
Areola, Archer, Trippier (suspended), Luiz (suspended).

      Senesi on 4 YC
Pau out of those for me. However, I'm not keen on a -4 for a defender.

Decided against selling Haaland for now, because I'll have to buy him back pretty soon

The defenders I'm selling, on the other hand, might not be anywhere near my team again any time soon: Guehi and Coufal to Porro and Senesi (-4, yes) should give me:

    Dubravka
    Tsimikas Senesi Porro
    Salah Saka Bowen Gordon Son
    Haaland(?) Watkins
    .
    Areola Lascelles Gabriel Archer

With 0.7m ITB after those moves. I've already gone Guehi to Porro. Coufal to Senesi will be close to the deadline, if I go ahead with it

Could be Haaland to Solanke if we get a more definite timeline by then, but I'd still need to sort Coufal (keeps conceding, few attacking returns) out soon... And then Lascelles (Botman) and Tsimikas (Gomez + Robbo)

    *sighs*

      brilliant ...

      hope this narrative holds.

      why not rest or
dead end. 12-14% of your entire budget for 2 or 3?

Not sure what you're getting at

But if there's a definite timeline, as I said here, I'll sell

What we have from Pep right now is still "maybe he's for for Palace", so I'll wait for the pre-deadline presser before knowing whether it's Haaland to Solanke (-4) or Coufal to Sensei (-4)

I'll still be selling Coufal soon anyway, so no second hit (effectively) to buy back

Waiting for the two or three more pressers before the deadline before I take that hit

Haaland to Solanke or Coufal to Sensei

          *"Maybe he's fit for Palace"

Just to be clear: if Haaland is ruled out vs Palace, I'm definitely getting Solanke and Coufal ends up staying in my side until he faces Sheffield 😀

Think Alvarez starts at Red Star with Haaland back for Palace fixture

City already wrapped up top spot in UCL. Pep could rest Alvarez in UCL to make sure he has a CF against Palace

Porro for me, unlikely to get any rotation

Not before Tsimikas faces Man U without Bruno

I'm gonna guess there's someone else who can go for Porro

    Dubravka
    Romero Saliba Trent
    Palmer Salah (c) Saka Son
    Haaland Darwin Semenyo

    Areola Hwang Branthwaite Guehi

    Easy Save??
