Ok in that case, you need to use it soon but if want to hold then play Tsimi over Trippier and Fernandes out for Son

because the wildcard has been used by CC's who failed in their selections ... it's not the narrative but likely optimal

    Dubravka
    Lascelles Gabriel Tsimikas
    Saka Son Salah Gordon Palmer

Feels really risky going without the two powerhouses that are salah and son even if it is just for two weeks. Both feel essential this season

            • 10 Years
            6 months, 10 days ago

Would you plan to remove them in your WC? Oh I guess because of Africa/Asia Cups, that maybe makes 20 more appealing

    4. Ze_Austin
      • 5 Years
      6 months, 10 days ago

My plan is to arrive at GW21 with 2 FTs to sell Salah and Son

Flags are making this so, so tough... Especially if Haaland is ruled out for Palace (hit to sell, burnt FT to buy back)

But yeah, I wouldn't want to lose either if I had that late wildcard

    5. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 3 Years
      6 months, 10 days ago

I'll definitely keep Son if I make it to GW20 with WC intact, Salah I might sell but tbh on Arsenal's form I may just keep Salah too. Has a good record v Arsenal with 8g 2a in 12 games and Liverpool tend to do well enough against Arsenal (only lost once in last 6 against them and scored at least twice in all of those)

    6. Fellaini's Fro

Ugh, good point. Still sell at least one of them on the WC though. Probably Salah as his funds harder to redistribute and the tougher fixture

    Sanchez | Dubravka
    Trippier | Anderson | Saliba | Romero | Kabore
    Salah | Saka | Gordon | Palmer | Mubuemo
    Darwin | Haaland | Alverez

Dropping tonight; Mubuemo & Andersen.. do get rid to keep Team value? Open to ideas!

    Dubravka
    Cash*, Udogie, Tsimikas
    Salah, Palmer, Saka, Gordon, Bowen
    Haaland*, Darwin*

(Areola, Archer*, Andersen*, Trippier) 1FT, £2.9m

Would like Son, but midfield doesn't seem the main issue. Annoyingly picked Bowen, when I thought Son was injured

    A) Haaland > Solanke
    B) Darwin, Archer > Solanke, Watkins (-4)

Archer is fit and has looked reborn as a winger under Wilder

1 FT, so I'd sort out the nonstarter first: Cash to Porro, then hope Haaland makes it. If not, Haaland to Solanke (-4)

Darwin to Watkins can be for free in GW18 instead, imo

In the full quote in the article above, Pep said Haaland was already walking without the pain as at yesterday

A week of resumed training ahead, and I wouldn't be too surprised to see him start vs Palace

Pep said they're assessing by the day. Like Bowen recently (very different injury, but similar case of fitness tests every day in training), it's more about the pain and freedom of movement than lasting damage

TLDR: wait for the last Pep presser before the deadline

After a short rethink (of above post)

Defence consists of Gabriel, Trippier, Baldock, Zouma, Kabore.

Which would you prefer here for a hit guys? Have EXACT funds for each option.

    A) Gabriel + Kabore > Porro + Pau Torres
    B) Zouma + Kabore > Porro + Senesi

    Many thanks.

      B

Wouldn't happily lose Gabriel because of the defence he plays for

Even if he comes in off the bench vs Brighton or Liverpool, I don't expect negative points

*comes in off your FPL bench, I mean

Not Arteta's bench. Just thought to clarify 😀

          Haha!! Clarification clarified hehe!

Yeah I guess so, not an immediate rush to shift Gabby I suppose, think it’s just the ‘exact funds’ talk there from me haha.
Think B makes a tad more sense, albeit with Senesi on 4 Yellows.

Let's say A can stay as an alternative in case B gets unreachable

That’s just the thing though, Torres set to rise along with Porro and Senesi probs rises tomorrow also

Could be Senesi or Konsa instead of Pau

This is true, Konsa I hadn’t considered to be fair.
It’s a shame Senesi is so close to a rise also.

Think I’ll just do Zouma to Porro tonight then and take it easy with the hit and play that as and when, sounds ok 🙂

Prefer to keep Gabriel but don't like the idea taking a hit now when there are midweek fixtures which may change the transfer plans

Thanks again Tony, yeah I hear ya, I don’t necessarily like early moves such as this, no less for defenders, it’s just with the Porro rise is all, if don’t move now it’ll stop the moves.

I doubt Senesi would rise tonight? On 95% on FPL Stats

    Thoughts

    Andersen, Mbeumo & Darwin (-4)

    Porro, Bowen & Solanke

Assume you can't afford to keep Darwin and the 4 points?

No need Darwin to free up funds. I have .1itb (have held him for 7-8 weeks and his returns are very poor..

I could just do Andersen & Mbeumo to Porro & Bailey/Hee Chan and keep Darwin

Bailey is a perfectly timed differential, imo

Do that instead. I don’t think Bowen is worth the -4 over Bailey/Hee Chan, personally

      I... Can't really knock it...

Only caveat is that Man U will get carved open, but that rarely means "Darwin haul" these days anyway

Hard to tell, with Lo Celso's good recent performances

He's the one who had to make way for Rich here, IIRC

I'd wait a few more games to confirm form and nailedness before diving in, but that must be difficult for the people who are considering him as an Mbeumo replacement

I'm getting him as my Mbeumo replacement. He's a rotation risk but the potential for hauls in that Spurs team is there.

Are people with WC bringing in Watkins for Haaland this evening to catch price rise?

Haaland may be out next GW and blank after that. Can then bring him back with WC in GW19.

Alternatively, Haaland might be fit because he was already walking without the pain by Saturday
