What a player Neto was for me before his injury! Ticked along nicely.

Yep tempted by Saka > someone cheaper, then if Bowen is ruled out longer term I can do Bowen ? KDB and have Haaland back upfront.

So with TAA and Bowen out this means I have to take -8 to get XI this week (Son & Chang xfers inc).

    Should I wildcard?

Can then replace most back line TAA, Senesi, Lascalles, Anderson
    Bowen to Foden/Gross

Really wanted to keep this WC til later - DOH!

Nothing wrong with Senesi if you can wait a week

I’m taking a -8, WC is not very exciting this time of year with so many away… I’m just taking the hit..

Anyone going with a Bernardo Foden double up?

Struggling not to play 343 formation so no space for it unless I drop Saks who has palace . But it's not a bad shout to go double city mid .

      KDB Foden Alvarez triple up
With Haaland money in the bank
      On wildcard

I've got Foden but I have been looking sideways at Bernardo while everyone else worth having is indisposed. I don't know what effect KDBs return will have on him though.

Already on it but already planning to move Bernardo on, with Doku and KDB back and Haaland soonish, he'll likely be back in a more central role where he'll be doing more defensive than offensive work I think

    Areola
    Porro, Gabriel, Estupinan
    Son**, Bowen**, Saka, Richarlison
    Watkins, Solanke, Nkunku

    Thinking (-4) Son + Bowen - - Foden + Gross/Neto, thoughts?

Seems to be a Gross pandemic going on here. Is he really the best replacement for Son/Salah? He does get assist, but 1 goal in the last 15 games.

Very good for bps when he returns and should have scored last week, regretting not getting him over Bernardo on WC last week (especially as he was my initial target)

True. Tbf he is returning better than Saka

    4. The Mentaculus

Generally yes but over the last 6 GWs he ranks quite highly for goal threat - 16 shots, 9 in the box, 5 big chances. Only Pedro is marginally ahead with 18/16/3. I think in the absence of wingers like Mitoma he's taken on more responsibility for goals.

Hmm so Bowen could be a hold. Who knew after WCing I'd have 3 players that would all miss out in GW21 but might be back for GW22 but simultaneously could easily miss that and GW23

but why keep bowen with paqueta and kudos out?. they barely have any posession, he's relying on their attacks\ service in clutch moments in games and thats gone now

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 6 Years

Surely more pressing transfers than Bowen who may only miss 1GW? I do agree the attack will be impacted with Kudos/Paqueta missing.

Its tricky sticking with Bowen means you cant keep TAA & Salah who could be back in GW22 & Salah in 23/24. I think Bowen's a sell now specially with Paqueta injury and if holding one of TAA/Salah.

Like Tony says most will have plenty more to deal with. Also worth considering that Kudus will be back around GW24/25 so if you're holding through next week then you're not far off that

Hey guys! Find myself in quite a pickle with all of the injuries/cups...

    Areola Dubravka
    TAA Porro Gabriel Cash CTaylor
    Salah Son Bowen Chan Anderson
    Watkins Nunez Solanke

    2 FT
    1.8 ITB

So without playing the WC I can do the following:

    -4
TAA, Son, Chan >>> Estupinan, Richarlison, Foden

or would you recommend something else/just biting the bullet with the WC

The -4 sounds grand but id swap Richarlison or Foden with Gross, you'll want nailed on players. When Son comes back Richarlison is a risk for minutes and Foden too with Doku and KDB back

Considering the same. If the predictions are correct, Trent only misses one game which is why I’m thinking Salah > Richarlison

Cheers, leaning toward A as well. But losing Taa might not be a bad idea to fund Haaland, Salah and son.

Not sure about Richarlison, might get gross as a differential.

I’m actually getting more tempted by B. Estu could haul big in the upcoming fixture run.

My team is part of a flag parade, is there any doubt that wildcard is the right choice? Do not want to use it this early, but probably need a -12/-16 to possibly field 11. Have five red flags, two orange and one yellow.

    Areola, Johnstone
    Trent, Porro, Zinc, Lascelles, Lamptey
    Salah, Son, Bowen, Saka, Palmer
    Watkins, Solanke, Semenyo.

Personally I would WC there's arguments either way but as you have put it you are looking at min -8 so look at your team and see how you could get a head of everyone my using the WC chip and leave funds to bring in Salah when needed as there are a lot of good options at the moment with the fixtures .
I'm on WC and have made 9 changes to my team most of which is defence and bench

Thanks, both. Will pull the trigger. Agree on the Salah plan. Being to defensive here will probably end up in a big rank drop.

Tough but looks like WC here.

Does Werner impact Richarlison or should I just avoid them both?

Until Son comes back, I think Werner will impact Richarlison mins either when he comes on as a sub or starts LW and moves CF after 60-70 mins
