Spurs celebrating stopping Arsenal from winning the league cause they have nothing of their own worth celebrating about. Loser mentality club top to bottom.

People being happy about something = losers
Someone still whining nearly 24 hours later on a fantasy football site = winner?

Revelling in the misery of your rivals is as big a part of football as anything. Years of ‘winner mentality’ at United in the 90s, City since the 2010s, or any other serial winning club has never eradicated the joy those fans still get from seeing their rivals lose out. For over 20 years United had a banner at old Trafford they updated every year that counted how long it had been since City had won a cup

Fairly natural human trait to take comfort from silver-linings when rationalizing loss. Spurs fans comforting themselves with the fact that their loss helps stop their rivals from winning a league, is not much different (fundamentally) from Arsenal fans distracting themselves from the pain of losing out on the title by hurling insult at select Spurs fans' "loser mentality".

Enough of this crap already. People celebrate what they choose to celebrate and that's it. Arsenal had it under their control (like Liverpool before) and lost it. I get it, it's frustrating but City gave everyone a chance this season tbf, so stop whining already.

Absolutely no chance James starts tonight. I would doubt he starts on Sunday either. With the amount of hamstring injuries he's had, it would be best to just give him a small amount of minutes and work towards the start of next season.

    Ederson

Current team 1FT, TC to be activated, 4th in mini league 39 pts between me and top.

    Vicario
    Porro Walker Burn
    Palmer Son Havertz Foden
    Isak Jackson Haaland [C]

    Subs: Onana, Gusto, Branthwaite, Gordon

    Do I:
    A. Play Burn over Gusto - Y or N
    B. Switch captain from Haaland to Palmer as chasing - Y or N
    C. Transfer Isak to Mateta - Y or N

Any other suggestions on starting XI welcome.

For every Haaland & Aguero there are many more new players from abroad who fail or take a long time to settle in to the Premier League (Havertz, Gvardiol, Robinho, Shevchenko, Di Maria) etc.

For a GW1 team, buy established Premier League players. Except if they're as good as Haaland or Aguero.

Was gonna leave this till closer to deadline but be good to get some early thoughts so apologies for the length, if anyone fancies a read and help then would be appreciated.

After leading my ML pretty much all season, my rival in 2nd has clawed things back to around 8 measly points! Be even less tonight or even take over if Bruno starts and does well and Brighton keep a cleanie as he’s played BB.

    Anyway, my team is:

    Petrovic
    Gabriel - Gvardiol - White
    Son - Foden - Palmer - Gordon
    Jackson - Haaland - Isak
    _____________________________
    Pickford: VDV, Bruno, Burn

    1FT, 3.0m ITB

    His team is:

    Petrovic
    Gabriel - Gvardiol - Porro
    Son - Foden - Palmer - Gordon
    Jackson - Haaland - Isak
    ______________________________
    Verbruggen: VDV, Bruno, Burn

    1FT, 0.2 ITB

As you can see, very similar teams, and will both have 1FT going into 38.

It’s a guess as to who MUST start along with myself, and both will likely captain Haaland also.
Wether he starts his double spurs defence and me double Arsenal defence is an unknown yet.
But with all the possibilities for a neck and neck battle into the last GW, what would be your best option here?

    Sell Gordon > Saka/Havertz perhaps?
Really don’t think a hit would be wise with it being so close.

I have way more money ITB, so maybe exploit that? I dunno.

Open to any help and ideas, and apologies again for the length, jsit throwing it out there, nervous times! 🙂

    Cheers gents!

Currently leading mini league rival by 34 points.

Similar teams, except I have Romero, Lascelles (from GW 30 WC lol), and KDB (might transfer out for Olise); and he has Walker, Burn, Havertz. Common players are: Petrovic, Onana, Porro, Gabriel, Munoz, Foden, Son, Gordon, Palmer, Haaland, Isak, Jackson

I am disappointed and embarrassed that the players, who actually put on a decent performance in difficult circumstances, didn’t get much support from the crowd.

The result is the result and I can certainly take comfort in the fact that it takes the league out of Arsenal’s hands. I would rather be going into the final week with a chance of CL though.

What they should have is scrap it and we would see how many people who would complain about the refs and wrong calls. Thing were never going to be perfect with Var, because it’s still controlled by humans. Var has taken away a lot but honestly helped more than most fans are willing to admit imo

It's not perfect but it's WAY better than it was before. VAR took away a lot of blatant mistakes and definitely helped to preserve the integrity of the game.

Implement the automatic offside tech and that’s half the battle. No chance this vote passes but things were much better before as a matchgoer - nowadays the football is hardly even discussed, discourse is dominated by VAR whinging.

Am very much looking forward to his 1 point in the knowledge that he should have been Gvardiol this week.

2 or 3 Yellows in something like his last 20? And one of those was for a celebration. I think he's past that phase

Should have just stuck with Gusto, he always finds a way back into the side.

But punted on Romero to be a differential.

Still, 114 points with you to 4 to go isn't to be sniffed at.
