Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has gone live for the 2024/25 season – and managers can now set their squads up for the new campaign.

The launch comes after a week of price reveals in which 176 Premier League players were priced up across all 20 top-flight clubs.

We’ll begin rounding up the newly released prices in more articles to come.

LIVE REACTION

WHAT’S NEW IN FPL

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) had previously said there will be “exciting new features” in this season’s game.

On Tuesday, FPL finally announced three major changes: the ability to roll up to five transfers (and keep the saved ones after using a chip), a new Mystery Chip, and minor tweaks to the scoring system/Bonus Points System.

You can read all about them here.

The interface has also been altered, including the welcome move of the chips to an area where they are less likely to be accidentally clicked:

WHAT’S STAYED THE SAME IN FPL

Everything else of note in FPL seems to have remained the same.

Aside from the ‘Mystery Chip’, the other chips are as they were (two Wildcards, one Free Hit, one Bench Boost and one Triple Captain).

The Gameweek deadlines remain at 90 minutes prior to the first kick-off.

Other than goalkeepers getting 10 points for a goal, there are no other direct changes to the scoring system – so no ball recoveries, as some were predicting.

YOUR FPL ESSENTIALS FOR 2024/25

FPL Gameweek 38 Scout Picks: Title-chasers dominate

If you’ve been taking a well-earned break from all things FPL over the summer, welcome back. If you’ve stayed with us through Euro Fantasy, thanks for your dedication!

The FPL planning for Gameweek 1 starts in earnest here and we’ve got all the tools and articles you need to help with your pre-season preparation.

PRE-SEASON TAB

Speaking of pre-season, our dedicated page lists all the summer friendlies, as well as the results, scorers and assisters when they have taken place.

We’ll have Scout Notes on all of these friendlies, to see if we can unearth the next John Lundstram ahead of Gameweek 1.

Key transfer ins and outs, links to content for all 20 clubs, set-piece takers and so much more will also be included on this page.

This pre-season article will get a lot busier over the next month, as we build towards the opening weekend in August.

NEW SIGNINGS + MANAGERS ASSESSED
Enzo Maresca at Chelsea: What we can expect in FPL 5

There have been some high-profile transfers already taking place this summer and we will be documenting them all.

There are a few new manager appointments in the English top flight, too.

The biggest moves will get their own dedicated Scout Reports, while we’ll also cover every other noteworthy incoming transfer in our regular round-up.

SEASON TICKER
FPL 2024/25: Best fixtures for the new season

Our Season Ticker can help you sort by opponent difficulty to spot those upcoming fixture swings, while you can also find out which teams’ matches rotate well.

Liverpool, for example, are top of our Season Ticker over the first eight Gameweeks of 2024/25 – but there are some tough games ahead for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Isn't it rare to spot someone like that at launch? Usually emerges after further transfer activity makes them underpriced, no? At least for the Palmer types.

Buendia if he becomes a regular starter (ditto Elliott/Bradley), ESR if he moves (ditto Rak Sakyi), maybe Enciso could emerge as breakout budget options

Nwaneri, he looks some player, and he's actually older than Yamal by a few months, so he's not too young if Arteta is brave enough to play him which I think he is, also I had no idea who to pick in the 4.5m bracket so he'll do for now 😆

  12. ★Kuntheman★

They’ve done a really good job of making Haaland an afterthought. Not even necessarily because he’s 15.0, but more so with Watkins 9.0, Isak 8.5, Palmer 10.5, Saka 10.0, Foden 9.5. Just to much value to pass up on within the midfield and forwards.

    1. They are eating the dogs
      • 3 Years

They kept mid price midfielder fairly low and it shows in the ownership. Most of highely owned players could easily be worth at least a million more.

    (Repost from the last article)
Finally figured out ID - 7742

First Haaland draft looks like this:
    4.5 | 4.5
    Gvardiol | Munoz | Moreno | 4.5 | Harwood-Bellis
    Palmer | Saka | Gordon | 6.5 | 4.5
    Haaland | Isak | 4.5

Think this has confirmed no Haaland for me given we’ll be wanting a higher bench value to be able to circumvent the need for transfers and get closer to the coveted 5 FT week.

Absolutely love the look of this draft. Will have to stress out watching City vs Ipswich in GW2, but this just seems like great value for the buck + great fixtures.

    Pope (Fabianski)
    Gvardiol VVD Robertson Porro (Harwood-Bellis)
    Salah Palmer Saka Gordon Hudson-Odoi
    Isak (4.5, 4.5)

Might end up going Foden over Saka and banking the 0.5 to have a captain for GW2. Not convinced by Arsenal’s first five fixtures but Saka being on pens and largely fixture proof last year makes me feel like fitting him is good coverage.

Not really. I've got 3 updroppable forwards (not Haaland). I'll stick with 3 at the back, so it's benching one of Gordon (who's pants away), Nkunku and CHO.

If you want starters, I'd say you'd have to be looking at the promoted sides. There might be the odd holding mid. Wouldn't go there myself.

He won't from the bench whereas a promoted 4.5m has more chance of starting. Check their transfermarkt for regular starts and preseason games. Could be a gem or two with the odd assist here and there.

          Brave midfield there.

Yeh, too imbalanced for me, which I think is inevitable if you want Haaland, Salah and Watkins.

              I don’t think Watkins is essential…

Easy to spread the money later than to move to Haaland + Salah in the beginning

Are you not making a rod for your own back weighting your team to two players with iffy overpriced form last season? See how your options with either or neither in the 15.

Sound. Try rolling out your FT maybe? 4 or 5 FTs might let you hold on to WC until later when window shuts and players form looks clearer.

Feel slightly silly saying this but… are Arsenal defenders actually essential?

      I think so yes

With the tweaks to baps, I'm gonna take a risk and go without.

    I've updated my sheet.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tOXOHLkK5PaJPke_a7o4uQT707lDpKWAlr5y6VmcXU4/edit?gid=1752930088#gid=1752930088

Players in green I consider to be 1m underpriced. These include players like Rashford and Nkunku who I will be unlikely to start the season with but I feel have the potential to make a mockery of their price. Havertz is the only player that I think they've underpriced by 1.5m.

Players in pink are 0.5m undervalued and will likely form the basis of my team. I only priced players I thought would be 5m or higher in defense. Note the defenders who came in at 4.5m instead of the predicted 5.0m. Good value there.

A player who's correctly priced doesn't mean I don't think they're worth it. I have Palmer in my current draft and he came in at the price I thought he was worth. Same with Gordon.

Good luck with your first drafts!

      Cheers, helpful.
I've got Havertz and Nkunku in my draft.
