The ascent of Manchester United’s Anthony Martial was amongst the top issues discussed in both our community articles and hot topics this week. Our regular community scribes were also on hand to share their crystal ball gazing skills regarding clean sheets and goal prospects. While elsewhere in our discussions, the hot topics included Watford’s budget striker, the West Brom defence and film-going Fantasy Football style. The Hottest Topics
With 0.3m worth of price rises in a single week, the Martial love affair has dominated much of the community’s discussions this week. According to Pug Life and others who took part in our discussion on the Manchester United new boy, his strengths as a striker should come as no surprise to those who follow French football.
There was further talk about Martial in TreatYoSelf’s look at price rise chasing and Siva Mohan’s discussion on the best replacement for the injured Christian Benteke also saw the Frenchman’s fans out in full force.
Could Watford’s Odion Ighalo offer a cut price alternative to Martial? Demi is certainly tempted by the Nigerian international. Heels Over Head also provided some excellent statistics to strengthen Ighalo’s case for inclusion.
Southampton’s Graziano Pelle, who, like Martial, also scored a brace in Gameweek 6, is another potential target. But, why are so many ignoring the striker, pondered Jaffalicious.
For those looking to broaden their search for a striker even further, Eden Hazardous’ discussion on the community’s dream front eight provides plenty of other contenders.
Chelsea’s stars are also attracting attention, after a marked improvement in their performance against Arsenal in Gameweek 6. With Diego Costa banned for three matches, Eden Hazard comes into contention as a key asset now and Beavis was on hand to show us how the midfielder has fared when Costa has previously been absent.
While Martial’s price rises have been in the ascendency GunsnRoses has been looking into the mysterious case of Pedro and his lack of price rises, despite earning similar transfers when he first joined the Premier League.
For those looking for a less exciting transfer this week Innsie sparked this discussion on whether to draft in Craig Dawson or Johnny Evans in the search for some reliable Tony Pulis influenced clean sheets at West Brom.

It is not just Martial that the community has attracted praise. There was plenty of accolades being dished out in Athletico Timbo’s discussion on the community’s best Fantasy managers, many of whom turned out to answer Optimus’s plea for some cringe-worthy Fantasy Football based movie quote puns.
The Members Tables
There was a raft of top table posted by the community this week with Venicebean hoping to find the complete player, while in contrast Doosra has been looking at which players have been firing blanks. Giggs Boson’s look at CBI, alegendj’s examination of goalkeepers and defenders via team defensive statistics were among other recent highlights.

The Community Tournaments
In TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing the safety score was 38, which saw 165 players depart and 2,160 remain.

The first instalment of results for the qualifying round for Balders Community Grand Play Offs competition put Somewhat Pleasing in poll position to grab one of its 256 places.
Andy marches on at the summit of the FFS Moderators and Contributors league and now has a commanding 38-point lead over Applebonkers in second.
Meanwhile in the Puffinboy Memorial Cup, for the site’s oldest regulars, Back on the horse has taken top spot.
