It’s the penultimate Gameweek of the season and FantasyBet have a whole range of contests to entertain us over the weekend and beyond, with 18 guaranteed pots on offer over the four days of Premier League football.
This week’s freerolls cover all 14 fixtures and therefore allow double Gameweek teams to be built from scratch. I’ve gone all in with 11 double players in the freeroll team below, while it’s the last chance to win tickets for FantasyBet’s largest ever pot – the Grand Finale Mania provides no less than 10 places for winning participants in the £5,000 Gameweek 38 contest.
If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly easy to play for those who know Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring system.
Check out this daily and weekly fantasy football guide to see how the game works.
MY TEAM
David De Gea (5.5m)
Patrick Van Aanholt (4.5m)
Alberto Moreno (5m)
Aaron Cresswell (5.5m)
Nathan Redmond (5m)
Mark Noble (5.5m)
Dimitri Payet (7.5m)
Eden Hazard (10.5m)
Jermaine Defoe (5m)
Anthony Martial (7.5m)
Daniel Sturridge (10m)
KEY PICKS
David De Gea – While the Spaniard may face two away trips, United’s recent run of four clean sheets in six suggests he could bring in the points. Certainly, a shutout against a Norwich side without a goal in three looks likely, whilst De Gea – who has averaged over three saves per away match over the last six – can expected to be kept busy for the midweek trip to West Ham.
Patrick Van Aanholt – With five goals to his name already, the left-back’s attacking forays puts him at the forefront of our double Gameweek thinking. With their survival on the line, a recent upturn in resilience has earned Sunderland three shut-outs in the last five ahead of vital home clashes with Chelsea and Everton.
Dimitri Payet The Frenchman’s consistency makes him a certainty in our squad for the matches with Swansea and United. Payet has returned points in seven of his last ten outings now and remains at the heart of a thriving Hammers attack ahead of Upton Park head-to-head with Swansea and United.
Anthony Martial Last week’s strike against Leicester was the Frenchman’s fifth in ten appearances across all competitions. Martial has picked up maximum bonus points in four of the last five times he’s netted in the league and should find plenty of space for his effective runs behind the lines away to Norwich and West Ham’s unconvincing rearguards.
LAST WEEK
There’s not much to mention from last week’s efforts. My main captain pick, Alexis Sanchez, failed to produce anything other than a clean sheet point, as my teams languished outside of the money places.
Tello earned top spot in the Grand Weekend by a ten-point margin – Karl Darlow (15 points), Dusan Tadic (11) and captain Troy Deeney’s 26-point hauls making up over half of his 97-point total.
THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS
As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls.
There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and Flash mode – they both cover all of the matches in Gameweek 37.
The Grand Weekend is £11 to enter for a chance to win part of the £1000 guaranteed prize money.
In the run-up to the Grand Finale in Gameweek 38, which has a £5,000 pot on offer – it’s possible to enter a qualifier this week for a £5.50 stake to win one of ten entry tickets usually worth £33.
THIS WEEK’S STAKE
I’m entering The Grand Weekend, the Grand Finale Qualifier, the freerolls, the Double-up Contest and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £17.70. I may also enter some of the contests after the weekend such as the Mid-week Double-up.
In addition, I’ll be going up against King Ozil, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks.
He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.
Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.
FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE
Galdgeholt topped the FFScout league for a second week running, beating last week’s score with 93 points. Sadio Mane’s hat-trick exploits bought in a huge 19 points while Dusan Tadic (11 points) and Kelechi Iheanacho (13 points) were the other stand out picks.
Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry – it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.
Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.
