While Mohamed Salah has dominated the Fantasy Premier League talking points this week, there are still plenty of differentials worth considering.
We’ve gone in search of assets owned by fewer than 5% of Fantasy managers once again.
Gameweek 17 sees us turn to Wolves, West Ham and Crystal Palace.
Diogo Jota
Price: £5.9m
Ownership: 1.0%
After a tricky start to life in the Premier League, Wolves’ top-scorer from their Championship winning season appears to have found his feet.
Diogo Jota (£5.9m) has re-established himself in the first XI having started the last two matches, recording two goals and one assist across them.
Crucially, he has maintained a 100% shot accuracy in that time and this week goes up against the Bournemouth defence which propelled Mohamed Salah to a hat-trick in Gameweek 16.
The Cherries still sit bottom of the pile for shots allowed in the box over the previous four Gameweeks, so Jota should have plenty of opportunities to continue his run of form.
Robert Snodgrass
Price: £5.3m
Ownership: 1.2%
West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass (£5.3m) continues to offer great potential as a differential.
The Hammers’ fixtures continue to look appealing over the Christmas period, especially a trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.
The Cottagers are still leaking chances and goals at the back even since Claudio Ranieri took over, presenting a great opportunity for the Hammers to score three goals for the fourth match in a row.
At the heart of their recent form has been Snodgrass, who now has three assists and a goal in his last three matches.
That form looks set to continue with the Scottish international’s imprssive underlying statistics.
He is the chief creator for West Ham with none of his colleagues even close to his number of chances created in the last four Gameweeks. In fact, his total is just one fewer than Eden Hazard during that time.
Andros Townsend
Price: £5.7m
Ownership: 2.0%
With Wilfried Zaha suspended for Gameweek 17, there will be more of an onus on Andros Townsend (£5.7m) to be the central attacking threat for Crystal Palace.
The midfielder has been deployed in a forward’s role for much of 2018/19 already so he should be relatively comfortable with that mantle.
There are still encouraging underlying statistics for Townsend in the last four Gameweeks too.
He has been offering the potential for a spread of attacking returns, his chances created also one fewer than Hazard (like Snodgrass), and eight shots on goal too.
Townsend’s last match at Selhurst Park yielded a goal and assist so he will be hoping to replicate that when Leicester City visit this weekend.
