It’s all about Manchester City in the captaincy debate for Gameweek 4 as Brighton come to the Etihad.
However, that hasn’t necessarily made the discussion a straight-forward one.
We have got another Captain Sensible article ready to help you decide who to give the armband too this weekend.
As this uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.
Captain Poll
Raheem Sterling (£12.2m) has made sure that the Gameweek 4 captaincy debate is somewhat one-sided as far as our captain poll is concerned.
The Manchester City attacker currently has a massive 51.4% share of the vote (as of Thursday evening) after scoring five goals in his first three matches of the season.
Meanwhile, Brighton have just one clean sheet in 2019/20, recorded against a woeful Watford side on the opening weekend of the campaign.
Since then, the Seagulls have conceded against West Ham and Southampton at the Amex Stadium.
That’s why there is significant interest in Manchester City players, Sterling the prime candidate.
His dominance of the vote is displayed by a 35.4% gap between him and Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) in second place, who currently has the support of 16%.
The Argentinian’s brace against Bournemouth has reminded Fantasy managers what this FPL legend is capable of.
The recent injury to Gabriel Jesus (£9.5m), expected to keep him out until the end of the international break, seems to have restored confidence in Aguero’s ability to play 90 minutes.
After having his game-time managed in the first two Gameweeks of 2019/20, he stayed on the pitch for the entirety of Manchester City’s win at the Vitality Stadium.
Mohamed Salah‘s (£12.5m) 15-point haul in Gameweek 3 has ensured he returns in small part to the captaincy debate.
The Egyptian is the third-most-popular candidate ahead of Saturday’s trip to Burnley with 6.4% of the vote.
The Clarets have defended stoutly this season but have only kept one clean sheet so far, so Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his Liverpool side can keep the winning form going at Turf Moor.
Kevin de Bruyne (£9.7m) completes a trio of Manchester City candidates among the poll’s top five for Gameweek 4.
Just 4.1% of the voters have gone with the Belgian midfielder but there is certainly plenty of cause to consider him for the armband.
De Bruyne may not be as explosive an option as Sterling and Aguero but he has been reliable this season.
Having conquered 2018/19’s injury problems and re-established himself as a regular starter in Pep Guardiola’s side, de Bruyne has attacking returns in each of his outings so far this season.
They have all come in the form of assists, registering four in total, and averaging 7.7 points per game across the first three matches.
Perhaps the most exciting differential option for the captaincy in Gameweek 4 is Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki (£7.0m).
Like Sterling, he also has five goals in his first three matches of the campaign, as well as an assist too.
This weekend Pukki faces a West Ham defence that has not inspired confidence for quite some time under Manuel Pellegrini.
That will be why 3.8% of our voters are considering the Finland international for the armband.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane (£11.1m), Sébastien Haller (£7.4m), Nathan Redmond (£6.4m), Mason Mount (£6.2m) and Tammy Abraham (£7.1m) are the only other options with more than 1% support in the poll.
