Nkunku is going to be the Jackson of last season; lots of hype but with no actual Premier League form and performances to back it up.

Chelsea under a new manager will take time to get going as well.

Rubbish. He was injured for most of last season but when he came into the team he showed his quality and got returns. He's a bargain at £6.5 and he'll start week in week out.

Will he start every game when there's midweek Europa fixtures? Feel like his starts/mins will be managed around those periods

For me he is a wait and see also - his price means it's easy to jump on him if he does start to hit form.

Can't see any worthwhile Chelsea options this season outside of Palmer and Nkunku tbh, but someone else may emerge ofc.

    Hendo.
    Gvardiol. Romero. Andersen.

    Any obvious improvements here?

    Areola
    TAA | Gvardiol | Hall
    Salah (c) | Jota | Garnacho | Minteh | ESR
    Haaland | Isak

SUBS: Fabianski | Robinson, Barco, Jebbison

    Possible alternatives: Garnacho > Nkunku / Minteh > J. Pedro in a 3-4-3.

Looks solid. The alternatives look good too so a tough one there to decide.

One thing, Bournemouth probably buys a striker or may play Biling or someone else as false 9 so yet to be seen if Jebbison gets many minutes.

Unless you’re captaining Mo in the first few weeks, is it obvious to drop to Jota and fit in another premium like Son/Saka. Jota looks nailed for the first couple based on pre season, particularly the team sheets (A team then B team) in their two games this past weekend

    1. Ginkapo FPL
      • 14 Years

Why not both? Its not Salah or Jota, its Salah vs Saka and Jota vs Gordon etc

Depends on your team of course but if its, say the most common combo of Salah/Eze vs Saka/Jota. Which wins in your mind?

Does the extra money saved improve your team?

      1. Jonesfromthere
        • 13 Years

The most logical move is a ’coverage’ swap to Jota and the 5 mil saving can mean another premium instead of say a 5.5

    Guys, is Quansah nailed on?

Also do we think Kulu starts over Johnson on the right with Solanke likely to start up front?

    Thanks guys

    1. TheBiffas
      • 5 Years
      1 year, 3 months ago

Quansah isn't nailed, we've heard murmurs about Slot having doubts about Konate but nothing solid, you can probably expect him to start the first 3-4 games but beyond that who knows

Regarding the second question I've got no idea but I'd also like to know

      1. GPV
        • 8 Years
        1 year, 3 months ago

I tend to agree. I do feel though that as long as Quansah performs, it will be his position to lose simply because he's mich better with the ball at his feet and Slot likes to play from the back. Konate is not good enough in that regard.

    2. Paul Psychic Octopus
      • 14 Years
      1 year, 3 months ago

      I think Solanke starts.
But soon you will have Solanke, Kulu, Son, Rich, Johnson (and even Werner) chasing 3 attacking spots.
      Assuming Maddison starts at #10.

Looks like a lot of early second half rotation to me, particularly for a team that plays a high-intensity press.

      1. GPV
        • 8 Years
        1 year, 3 months ago

        That's a good point.

I find Kulu has played much better than Maddison in preseason. When it comes to form it should be Johnson Kulu and Son behind Solanke but Maddison probably starts anyway.

But you're right, plenty of competition.

Looks good actually - Salah the main absentee but Jota is good coverage. IMO you can do better than Kulusevski at that price point (or even cheaper).

Cheers, think I need some spurs attack for their nice opening fixtures. Had son earlier over kulu and a cheaper defence. Not sure which is better.
