The way I see it, A will get you more points combined over the season, but with B you have a weekly captain which will gain you double anyway. Assuming you have Salah? If not then deffo B regardless, as you can’t go in without either as that’s asking for trouble. Is Barco a starter or a rotation option?

It's strange that yet again, no-one is talking abut Rice.

His PPM (last season's points, this season's prices) are higher than every other Arsenal player apart from Saliba.

On some set pieces and ventures forward to shoot more often that Southgate allowed him to.

Looked very attacking from open play yesterday in addition to the corner assists. Main issue is whether Jesus starts to push Havertz to left 8 & Rice to 6

People always looking for 'excitement' from new players, players at new clubs, injury records. Ignore solidity and predictability.

Rice and Rodri were both Top 10 Mids last season for TOTAL points. And if you fancy Rodri, Rice is a good placeholder for the first three GWs

  8. RedJive79

Any good? Quite fancy an earlier punt on Minteh.

    Flekken
    Saliba / Udogie / Andersen

    Haaland / Isak / Wood

    Valdimarsson / ESR / Barco / Faes

    For the first 6 GWs:

    A) Salah, Nkunku, ESR

Both with bench options that can come in in case of no-shows

    A) Jota + Solanke
    B) Son + ESR

I'm quite undecided on this. It's super close. B feels a bit safer to me and better for price options since Son can become Saka or Foden in one move.

But Solanke could be amazing and Jota has insane ceiling.

    1. Kloppen Schloppen

B - think ESR and Son have the better opening few and have played preseason. Solanke is a wait and see even though I think he’s going to do well. Just want to see it first.

Settled on team and the only real question marks now are:
    GK - Sels or Hendo?
    FWD - Pedro or Armstrong?

    Rest of the squad is:
    X / Fab
    Gvardiol Munoz Robinson (Konsa Barco)
    Salah Jota Gordon Murphy ESR
    Erling Isak X

I'm on Henderson but I don't have Munoz, don't fancy the double up. With the defensive signings West Ham have made, plus a defensive minded manager in Lopetegui, I reckon they'll be pretty solid at the back.

Who is to say anything, the whole game is based on predictions.

Spurs create loads of chances and were 5th in the league for NPxG last season (just behind Arsenal). If Solanke can get on the end of a few of them, he'll do alright. Nobody knows whether he has pens or not either.

I have settled now on my strategy due to the abnormal late returns of some players giving other cheap players a certain week 1 start, the price of Haaland with Ipswich week 2 and the new rules for more FT and fixture swings in week 3

    Im locked into this now

    Week 1: Bench boost
    Sels Raya
    TAA Porro Hall Mykolenko Zinchenko
Saka Jota Son B Fernandes J Murphy
    Isak (c) Solanke Wood

Week 2 FT (team not certain)
    Ederson
    Robinson TAA Porro Quansah
    Salah KDB Smith-Rowe
    Solanke Haaland (c) Muniz

Week 3 - team uncertain but getting in Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Saka, Foden, Ipswich , Brighton for their fixture swings
    Chelsea Keeper
    TAA Davis Konsa Johnson
    Salah Palmer Foden Saka Nkunku
    Watkins
    4mil J Pedro, Barco , 4,5mil

Brighton boys off the bench from week 4.

Finally happy with my team I think, downgraded TAA and Pickford to Hendo/Saliba and I think i really like the ARS double def. Only consideration for me now is possibly dropping Solanke to Wood keeping the money to take him in after the first couple of GW's.

    Hendo

    Gabriel / Saliba / Gvardiol
    Salah(c) / Saka / Eze / Gordon
    Isak / Solanke / Pedro

    Valdi - Nkunku / Barco / Robinson

I think the money saved and spent elsewhere more than covers his points... The risk is more pressure to get the captaincy choices right when he's the obvious captain. It's really tough going without him but i can't land on a draft i'm even close to liking with him in my team

Wouldnt be certain yet of gordon, but lets see later in week.

This years crazy list of options and fixture swings has driven me to go
      week1: bb
      week2: FH
      week 3: wildcard

so i will have all those players in my team over weeks 1-3

I have spent some time on it now and it ultimately gives the best version of all drafts possible and targets the 3 promoted teams massively while later getting rid of Haaland and targeting the fixture swings for players who will probably have dropped in price by week 3 ( Waktins, Foden, Palmer etc)
