We dig into the weekend data now, with the first of our weekly articles for members. Under the radar this time are City’s Spanish frontman, the Cardiff midfield, Everton’s full-backs, Sunderland’s wide-boy and the new role for Liverpool’s captain:
Do you think I've missed another double riser
Open Controls
I've lost it with protection! Is barkley protected now he's red flagged or only when the red flag comes off?
Open ControlsAnyone have any suggestions for my WildCard team? 0.4 in then bank
Boruc, Mannone,
Kolarov, Coleman, Mertesacker/Koscielny, Ward, Chester,
Ozil, Hazard, Silva, Lallana, Gnabry/Mutch
Suarez, Aguero, Sturridge,Open ControlsI would be interested to hear what others make of my side pre free transfer. No Man City but otherwise lines up pretty well for this week:
Howard
Ward - Merte - Coleman
Eriksen - Lennon - Hazard - Henderson
Lukaku - Suarez - Giroud
Subs : Chester - Chico - Brady
£5.2 in the bank so I could get pretty much whoever. I suspect most will say ditch Lennon but form is actually pretty strong. Brady is dead weight so he could easily go. Quite fancy decent returns from all and Chester on the bench for that matterOpen ControlsObvious answer incoming.
Man C of choice in for Lennon. Lennon has Man C following week.Open ControlsDoes that not count against Man City as well though? Tough fixture next week away at Spurs. Lallana is another good option
Open ControlsObviously but Man C scoring for fun and have murdered a few teams already this season. Plus I for one am not overly convinced of a major revival at Spurs but we make our choices.
Open ControlsNor am I but Sherwoods system favours the attacking midfielder. They are going to get points. I certainly wouldn't be buying a defender and I don't think they have a forward worth buying
Open ControlsDoing my wildcard in a fortnight and I'm considering Ade and Ericsen but not likely to do either unless Ericsen delivers again.
Keep waiting for Lamela to deliver, it's not going to happen is it?Open ControlsI went there earlier in the season. He still can't even get a game. Shocking. I was lucky with Eriksen I took a punt after Sherwoods first game as they had a nice run coming up and looked attacking. Wo's to say whether it will continue but I wouldn't be selling him at the mo
Open Controls
I personally think Lennon isn't that bad a shout what with Spurs' new attacking approach.

Thoughts on Chamakh for 2 weeks in order to fund Aguero ?
Two lovely fixtures for Palace (STOKE , HULL )
Current team:
Mannone
Cosc , Kolarov , Ward
Hazard , Silva , Lallana , Eriksen
Suarez , Giroud , Lukaku
Bench: Marshall , Januzaj , Clyne , Chester
0.2 itb
A) Lukaku ---> Chamakh GW22 / Giroud ---> Aguero GW23 / then downgrading in midfield to ditch Chamakh
B) Silva and Lukaku ---> Wilshere and Aguero ( -4 )
C) Save FT
Any help appreciated.Open ControlsMorning, all.
Rooney to Giroud, worth a -4 hit? Yes/No.
Thoughts appreciated.Open ControlsLukaku for Giroud?
do it for a hit yes or no ? thnx 2 minOpen ControlsYes for Giroud. Lukaku is not scoring much.
Open Controls
Possible wc team? What ye think?
Boruc, McGregor
Coleman, Kolorov, Clyne, Ward, Chester
Hazard, Silva, Lallana, Eriksen, Assaidi
Suarez, Aguero, GiroudOpen ControlsGot lost at the bottom of last page..
How does this look.
Mignolet Mannone
Baines Kola Kosc Chester Clyne
Hazard Lallana Silva Ramsey Colback
Suarez Giroud Aguero
Any spot I can improve? 0.2 in bank. Please provide thoughts.Open ControlsGet rid of Mignolet for a start.
Open Controlsreally? He offers diversification in defense amongst big 4. I think they can keep a few cleanies even though he has been sh**e lately...
anyways, whos a good replacement? thinking to get boruc.Open ControlsHe has been very error prone recently, more worryingly, so has his defenders. I would steer clear from Liverpool defence for the time being.
Personally i am sticking with Boruc as my main keeper, if he concedes he concedes.
(See below)Open ControlsLpool have like 3 clean sheets in 16. if your gonna pick a premium keeper go witth another, havent looked into which is best but maybe Boruc, Czech, Schez? i went for 2cheap rotators, sproni+marsh
Open Controls
To whoever my next cup opponent is, I wish you all the best.
Boruc
Kolarov / Baines / Sagna
Lallana / Hazard / Silva / Gerrard
Giroud / Agüero (vc) / Suárez (c)
Kelvin Davis / Ward / Januzaj / ChesterOpen Controls(Fully jinxed myself to get beaten by a ghost)
Open Controlsand I wont get Gerrard...with sturridge back, his potential returns look bleak. Yes, scored a penalty last game but almost played like a defensive midfielder all game.
Open ControlsHe is just a placeholder for Ramsey. Then with the money freed up I can upgrade Giroud/Kolorov if needed.
Open Controls
Forgive my stupidity but is it worth me putting gerrard in my WC team for Silva to catch the price rise? Is that how it works lol? Got Silva at current price
Open ControlsHe needs to go up 0.2 for you to gain 0.1 on him but you can always do it and change friday night back to silva
Open ControlsI did the Silva to Gerrard move earlier tonight for the same reason.
Open Controls

Ki
Open ControlsGerrard is a worse option now, than he was before the last game and is still going up. this game drains my will to live...
Open ControlsHe's on set pieces, you cant argue with that logic.
Open Controlshe always was on pens (shares fk's with suarez)- thats what i am trying to say, his goalscoring/attacking potential, and so fpl potential (for me) has decreased imo due to his new, more defensive pos
Open ControlsHe has no goals and one assist from open play this season. It's a slight decrease on an already ridiculously small open play attacking threat.
Open Controlsgood point....annoys me even more that the casuals can pick him and get it right without going thru all this reasoning!!
Open Controls
He's been gradually more and more defensive for the past few years. This is no great shock, didn't expect much from open play. I brought him in for the set pieces, pk's and guaranteed 90 mins. Team like pool get plenty of set pieces as well. Long range passing is amongst the best around also. Not concerned.
Open Controls
on FPL, specifically, do the Selected By %'s update in real time, at the gameweek lock, or each day at the price change?
Open ControlsHey Sinik, i think its every few hours
Open Controls
Anyway guys thanks for the inputs tonight. But I'm going bed now.
Goodnight 🙂Open ControlsMarchisio and Gundogan in Utd's new look midfield. Nice!
Open ControlsUmmm... Probably not. But finally Man U might have some midfielders that get points on FPL.
Open Controls
Do I need to WC this lot?
Mannone Davis
Kolorov Coleman Merte Gabbi (Chester)
Hazard Silva Ozil (Redmond Sterling)
Negredo Suarez Sturridge
-4 kneejerking.. crazy I know.
Changes would probably Boruc, Aguero, Eriksen, Pozu, Hudson for Mannone, Negredo, Redmond, Sterling, Merte/Kolorov.
Or should I just stick and WC next week?Open ControlsA lot of poo-pooing of Gerrard.
Points before he got injured were
:- 5 10 9 5 2 11 5 9 4 4 .
6.4ppg average!Open ControlsI think people are concerned about the talk of a deeper position
Open ControlsThat really hasn't changed since the start of the season.
Open ControlsExactly. 4 goals and 6 assists from his lion's share of corners, indirect free kicks and also pens.
Open ControlsThis.
Also comes down to what formation Rodgers opts for now Sturridge is back.Open Controls
But Rodgers talked about it the other day and people are responding to it
Open ControlsYeah, but what he's saying is he's been playing deep, granted not as deep as against Stoke, but in no way up the field in attacking areas, all season. You don't buy him for open play threat but for his exceptional set piece ability.
Open Controls
its the new position that means he is less likely to repeat his previous returns. im not against him at all, just dont understand the bandwagon. where were they before...like you say he's been good for a while.
think im just annoyed cos i was gonna get him next week.Open ControlsReally don't think it effects things much at all.....ad gnu says above, just one assist from open play....
Open Controlsim not sure where i can check that stat, doesnt sound right!
Open Controls
I'd rather Studge over Gerrard tho.
Open Controls
How does this wildcard team tickle your fancy?:
Boruc, Mannone
Coleman, Clyne, Chester, Koscielny, Turner
Silva, Hazard, Lallana, Eriksen, Livermore
Giroud, Aguero, Suarez
8 changes overall
Waiting on Aguero/Silva before making all the moves thoughOpen ControlsDon't think Ramsey will get much time this weekend.
Open Controls
Is Cahill a certain starter at Chelsea (ahead of Luiz when Ivanovic is back)?
Open Controlswats with the lack of love for sterling? not seeing him mentioned much at all.
pro: cheap, playing well for top 4 side, pretty nailed on.
con: potential rotation with sturridge back? still young and not quite up to it? cheaper options out there (Ki)?
i currently have sterling and januzaj as rotating 4th and 5th mids, they rotate fairly wellOpen ControlsAsking for trouble if they are your rotations after a WC.
Open Controlson a wc now, how do u see them as trouble? not a fan of either?
im tempted to ozil->ramsey and upgrade 1 to lallana or eriksen... better option?Open Controls
I am just saying is it possible to be pretty nailed on yet also to have the con of rotation?
Open ControlsSounds like a fence sitting.
Open ControlsI think it is being optimistic. You have decided upon a player and are now wanting other people to convince you that you were right!
Open Controlshaha no fence sitting or trying to get ppl to convince myself im right.
I believe sterling is 80-90% nailed on. He might get the odd rest but for 5.3 thats ok with me. I put the con of rotation as more of a question to others, i dont really agree with it.
ive watched most of pool's games and believe courtinho is more at risk of being dropped than sterling. big call i no but coutinho looked outta place against stoke. playing a 442 doesnt suit courtinho so unless rodgers moves back to 352 i reckon sterling is pretty safe.
just looking for others opinions!! thanks!!Open ControlsGood stuff always good to see people making their own decisions. I went with Henderson when I chose between these 2 for this reason by the way. I suspect he will score less points than Sterling but will be on the pitch more. He may yet be ditched this week
Open Controls
Who is getting Aguero if he plays 20 mins tonight?
Open ControlsThat's the plan.....lack of arsenal attack concerns me though
Open ControlsIt's either Giroud, Aguero or Sturridge as a replacement for Lukaku if I change.
Open Controls
which one of Suarez, Lukaku or Giroud would I lose though? I like them all for the weekend
Open ControlsI'm WCing if he does.
Open Controls
Hey guys, could I get some advice on my WC plan?
WCing next GW to this:
Boruc Jakupovic
Terry Koscielny Coleman Ward Hudson
Ozil Silva Hazard Gerrard Ki
Suarez Lukaku Bony
I'm punting on Bony who has FUL whm CAR, before getting Aguero back in before Norwich (A) by downgrading Terry (most likely) to Azpilicueta. Have the funds to do it. Should I just get Aguero in on the WC next week? Also, not sure about the 4th mid. Don't really fancy double Chelsea or Arsenal. Sorry for the long postOpen ControlsMillionaire Club Update
