    • Latest News: Bukayo Saka and Takehiro Tomiyasu are “doubts” for Sunday’s clash with Manchester United. Tomiyasu wasn’t sighted in training on Thursday, while Saka was pictured – not for the first time this season – with heavy strapping on his leg. Mikel Arteta admitted that those two players were among the concerns in his press conference, although the Arsenal manager's 2023/24 pressers have contained more red herrings than series one of The Killing. Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus will be on standby to join the front three if needed, while Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko are alternatives at left-back. Jurrien Timber would ordinarily be another possibility there but still hasn’t featured in the first-team squad despite recovering from a knee injury and playing twice for the under-21s. Elsewhere, things are settled: Arteta has kept the same starting XI for the last three matches, with the performances mostly excellent in that time and 11 goals being plundered.

    • Latest News: Emi Martinez (hamstring) returned to action against Olympiacos on Thursday but there are lingering concerns ahead of Monday's match. Doubts remain over Youri Tielemans (groin), Nicolo Zaniolo (unknown) and Morgan Rogers (unknown), who either sat out Gameweek 36 or were injured during it. All three missed the clash in Greece, as did Alex Moreno (unknown). Unai Emery didn't namecheck Rogers but said Zaniolo and Tielemans were "close", adding that Moreno has a "small injury" that would only rule him out "some days". Assuming none of them are back to face Liverpool, then there is only really Clement Lenglet, Tim Iroegbunam and Jhon Duran, none of whom have really started in the league unless fitness has been an issue, who could muscle in on this predicted XI. Long-term absentees Jacob Ramsey (foot), Tyrone Mings (knee) and Boubacar Kamara (knee) remain out and while Emi Buendia (knee) was back in training this week, a first-team appearance looks optimistic after nine months on the sidelines.

Andoni Iraola confirmed that the supposedly wantaway Kelly would feature in some capacity against the Bees, stopping short of saying he would start, but the absence of Kerkez and Brentford's aerial prowess could see him preferred to midfielder Dango Ouattara at left-back. It might be a bit much to expect a start from Adams or Tavernier after their month-long absences but Iraola does have other options if he wishes to change things around, one of which is pairing Enes Unal with Dominic Solanke in a repeat of Gameweek 35's set-up. Seldom used alternatives like Philip Billing, Max Aarons and Romain Faivre, who have one league start between them in the last four months, could get a look-in should Iraola be willing to blood more of his fringe players with precious little of real worth to play for.

Ajer suffered a facial injury in the draw with Fulham, while Jensen missed that match with a minor injury but would have played had it been “a play-off final or a Champions League final”. Jensen could return at the expense of Mikkel Damsgaard or Vitaly Janelt, then, while Ajer will presumably retain his start at right-back. Ivan Toney is pretty fortunate to be starting on current form but with Frank hinting that the striker would get another chance to end his goal drought at Bournemouth, it looks like one of Keane Lewis-Potter or Yoane Wissa will have to miss out in the front three. Kevin Schade, whose last start came eight months ago, is another option for Frank to consider out wide.

    • Latest News: Joao Pedro is the latest injury concern for the Seagulls: the striker suffered an ankle issue in training and Roberto De Zerbi is unsure whether he’ll be fit to face Newcastle. Adam Lallana (unknown), Pervis Estupinan (calf), Evan Ferguson (ankle), Jack Hinshelwood (foot), Solly March (knee) and Kauro Mitoma (back), James Milner (muscle) and Jan Paul van Hecke (hamstring) also look set to remain out but the one bit of good news is that Tariq Lamptey could be on the bench on Tyneside after recovering from an unspecified, month-long issue. De Zerbi likes to keep the opposition guessing but he must surely be tempted to go with the bulk of the side that brought a poor period of form to an end with an impressive win over Aston Villa. Adam Webster, who has struggled for long stretches of the season, was one of the standout performers, while Igor Julio was preferred to Valentin Barco at full-back. De Zerbi will be forced into at least one change if Pedro misses out, with perhaps Jakub Moder or Carlos Baleba coming in to the side (the latter scenario would see Pascal Gross in a more advanced role). Julio Enciso and Ansu Fati are alternatives, of course, but their manager did make a point of saying that those two were "not at the top of their level of condition" and starts have been in short supply of late. Enciso did make a difference when he came on for Facundo Buonanotte last weekend, however.

Vincent Kompany meanwhile confirmed that Luca Koleosho (knee) wasn’t yet to ready to return, while Aaron Ramsey (knee), Ameen Al-Dakhil (unknown), Nathan Redmond (leg) and Jordan Beyer (muscle) are out longer term. Kompany could definitely be accused of overthinking things last weekend, bringing Josh Brownhill in from the cold after an impressive eight-match spell in which defeat was only tasted once. David Datro Fofana or Charlie Taylor could back come in for Brownhill here, with the likes of Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Zeki Amdouni hoping for the type of out-of-the-blue recall that Brownhill benefitted from in Gameweek 36. Last week's surprise change aside, Burnley have been very settled of late: nine players have started every match they've been available for since the March international break.

    • Latest News: Reece James (hamstring) and Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring) are back in full training ahead of Double Gameweek 37, with Mauricio Pochettino saying James is a "maybe" to be in the squad to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday - albeit only for half an hour of game-time tops. Robert Sanchez (illness) is still only listed as in “partial team training” in the latest injury bulletin, so he looks set to miss out alongside Carney Chukwuemeka (knee), Romeo Lavia (thigh), Wesley Fofana (knee), Enzo Fernandez (groin) and Ben Chilwell (knee). Malo Gusto, Levi Colwill, Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku recovered to make the matchday squad in Gameweek 36, so Mauricio Pochettino for once has plenty of choice for the clash at the City Ground. The current holders of the shirts were excellent in victory over West Ham United, however, so the onus is on the fit-again contingent to make a case for inclusion. Benoit Badiashile would, you'd think, be the likeliest to make way from the back four if there was to be a change, with the Thiago Silva/Trevoh Chalobah partnership previously looking strong and Marc Cucurella in the form of his Blues career. Colwill was a favourite of Pochettino's before his injury, as was Gusto - although a recall for the latter may mean a move away from the tweaked formation (ie Cucurella inverting) that has helped bring success in recent weeks. Nkunku will probably continue to be eased into first-team action; if there is to be a shock start for the Frenchman, it's likely Mykhailo Mudryk at risk rather than Nicolas Jackson. Pochettino has so far seemed keener on uniting Nkunku and Jackson in the Chelsea attack rather than sharing minutes between them.

    • Latest News: Sam Johnstone (elbow), Matheus Franca (groin) and Cheick Doucoure (Achilles) remain out, while an update is awaited on Rob Holding (hamstring) after he missed the last three matches. Jefferson Lerma (hamstring) is nearing a return to fitness but will not be risked this weekend, with a Gameweek 38 comeback instead the target. The Eagles are arguably the most settled side in the division, with a hammering of Manchester United on Monday furthering the likelihood for another unchanged team. Nine players have started each of the last four matches (many of their unbroken appearance records stretch way further back than that), with Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise only missing/benched in that period due to fitness issues. Marc Guehi is back fit and would ordinarily be a shoo-in to start but with Nathaniel Clyne performing so admirably at the rear, there are no guarantees that the England international gets the game-time he covets before Euro 2024.

    • Latest News: Vitalii Mykolenko (ankle) and Nathan Patterson (hamstring) won’t kick a ball in what remains of 2023/24, while Dele (groin) remains sidelined. Other than that, though, things look fairly rosy on the Everton injury front. Asked if he would make changes to his team with this being a dead rubber, Sean Dyche gave a noncommittal response by saying "there might be... if we feel it’s right" but adding that the Toffees "want to go into the game to win it". The likes of Beto, Youssef Chermiti, Amadou Onana, Andre Gomes, Arnaut Danjuma, Lewis Dobbin and Michael Keane will be hoping that Dyche gives minutes to squad players in what remains of the campaign, while Seamus Coleman could be given a farewell home appearance if this indeed proves to be his Everton swansong - although Dyche seemed to suggest the veteran Irishman was keen to keep playing. The middle of the park is an area where the Everton boss has frequently rotated, while the visit of a relegated Sheffield United side perhaps gives Dyche the chance to experiment with two up top. With the Toffees safe, there is also the possibility of Joao Virginia getting a rare runout between the sticks - although Dyche hasn't previously rotated out his first-choice goalkeeper in past dead rubbers.

    • Latest News: Sasa Lukic will miss the Manchester City with a “small issue in his calf” but Marco Silva has confirmed that everyone else is available. That presumably means that Harrison Reed is fit to feature, having missed out last weekend with a knock, so there could be a straight swap between those two midfielders in the engine room. Willian had a rare old stinker last weekend and there would be some logic in bringing back Bobby De Cordova-Reid in for this one, with his graft potentially an asset against the likes of Phil Foden and Josko Gvardiol down the City left. We could say the same about Tosin Adarabioyo and his pace at centre-half, too, but having been omitted from the matchday squad in the last two matches amid speculation over his future, a chance of a recall looks slim. Rodrigo Muniz continues to keep Raul Jimenez and Armando Broja at arm's length, although there is a chance that Silva offers a sentimental start to the former as the season ticks down and mid-table mediocrity is assured.

We do know that Ben Doak (knee), Thiago Alcantara (muscle) and Joel Matip (knee) remain out, while Diogo Jota (hip) looks set to remain sidelined as he was not seen in training ground images on Friday. Bar the four above, the only other Liverpool player absent from the grass at the AXA Training Centre was Andrew Robertson. The Scot was, according to the Liverpool Echo, at least "seen in training wear at the club’s base on Friday morning", but the reason for his later no-show is not clear. Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas will be on standby at left-back if needed but you wouldn't envisage much else changing in Klopp’s starting XI after the Reds stopped the rot in style against Spurs. Three of the hitherto squad players who featured in that game, Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott and Cody Gakpo, indeed came in for praise from their manager, which doesn't seem to bode too well for Ibrahima Konate, Dominik Szoboszlai and Darwin Nunez.

Ross Barkley and Carlton Morris are available, too, after missing a midweek awards ceremony due to illness. Normally you'd expect Ogbene to be on the bench at best given his seven-week lay-off but this is last-chance saloon territory for Luton, so there is an increased chance of Rob Edwards throwing him straight back in - especially as neither Daiki Hashioka nor Fred Onyedima has yet made a convincing case to claim Kabore's vacated wing-back slot. Jordan Clark and Andros Townsend will struggle to crack the front three with Elijah Adebayo back to fitness and Tahith Chong turning in a man-of-the-match performance against Everton last week, while there's scant chance of much else changing further back due to the length of the injury list.

    • Latest News: The City team news is nice and straightforward: not one of their players is injured going into the game against Fulham. The team Pep Guardiola sent out against Wolves, featuring the fit-again Ederson and Phil Foden, maybe the one you'd expect him to field for much of the rest of the season, barring any injuries. Mateo Kovacic seems to bring the balance and calmness that Guardiola would seek at the 'squeaky bum' stage of the season, while Josko Gvardiol's forays down the left allow Foden to drift infield where he is most effective - not that he or Kevin De Bruyne had their best matches in Gameweek 36. You could maybe see Jack Grealish starting against Spurs on Tuesday for yet more control in a match that was harum-scarum in the reverse fixture, while there's the offchance that Ruben Dias and/or John Stones muscle in on one of the next two. The trouble is that Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake have looked so good of late that ousting one of those will be tricky, so any starting opportunity may hinge on Akanji moving over to the right and displacing a slightly less convincing Kyle Walker.

Mason Mount has been injured again and is out for the Arsenal game, while Luke Shaw (muscle) has suffered a setback and remains absent along with Tyrell Malacia (knee), Harry Maguire (wrist), Willy Kambwala (unknown), Raphael Varane (muscle) and Victor Lindelof (hamstring). Anthony Martial (groin) has been back in parts of training over the last week, too, but it remains to be seen if he ever kicks a ball for United again. Providing they've got enough training under their belts, Fernandes and McTominay are surely going to return to the starting XI at the expense of the injured Mount and the snail-paced Christian Eriksen, while Rashford may even get an instant recall in place of Antony. There's not much else ten Hag can do with his injury-hit back four, with a half-fit Jonny Evans and square peg Casemiro set to be given a good going over by Arsenal's attack. Sofyan Amrabat is another midfield option, should McTominay or Fernandes not be ready to start.

Fabian Schar (hamstring) also looks set to miss out this weekend but Eddie Howe said on Friday that there is still a chance of him playing a part this season, having effectively ruled him out of the rest of 2023/24 a week ago. There was even better news on Kieran Trippier (calf): the defender has been back in team training this week and Howe will make a late call on his inclusion in the squad to face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday. The Newcastle boss sent out some mixed messages regarding his recent returnees, saying that Miguel Almiron, Joelinton and Nick Pope - who were all back in the matchday squad as substitutes last weekend - were still building their "robustness" but adding that Pope "had a really good training week" and was "the Nick Pope that we had seen for the majority of his time at Newcastle". Howe also praised Trippier's week of training, saying that he "thinks he's ready to go" and that he would try and "pick the best team to win the game". One school of thought is that Howe would try and get Trippier and Joelinton some minutes before the crucial midweek clash at Old Trafford, a match that may see Callum Wilson make way in order to facilitate a move back to the less attacking 4-3-3. European qualification could be sealed in that game, so it could be a more tense affair. As for the final home match of the season on Saturday, there's likely more chance, if not a guarantee, of us seeing the 4-4-2 that swatted Burnley aside last week.

    • Latest News: What we’ve seen of Nuno Espirito Santo’s press conference contained nothing in the way of team news. Neco Williams (hamstring) was the only known concern, and the prospects of him featuring in Gameweek 37 don’t look great based on Nuno’s last update less than a week ago. Forest looked solid in a wing-back system against Manchester City in Gameweek 35 and more open in the 4-2-3-1 used for the clash with Sheffield United last weekend, so there's a decent chance that Nuno reinstates third centre-half Moussa Niakhate here and sacrifices a body further forward. Anthony Elanga struggled against the Blades and is one possible makeweight, although his removal would maybe involve having to move Morgan Gibbs-White to a slightly wider role. Gonzalo Montiel is another Forest player who was poor at Bramall Lane, so we could see Nuno bring in Harry Toffolo on the left and switch Ola Aina over to the opposite flank.

Jebbison did get 45 minutes for the under-21s earlier this week, at least. Absences for Ahmedhodzic and Holgate could see Wilder move to a back four for this one, with Ben Osborn or Yasir Larouci filling in at left-back. James McAtee could benefit from the extra spot further forward if there is a formation change, while Will Osula and Rhian Brewster will be hoping to get a look-in in attack after Cameron Archer's wasteful display last weekend. Archer is back off to Villa in the summer, too, so Wilder may decide to look to the future with the players who are staying in South Yorkshire.

    • Latest News: In his press conference, Ange Postecoglou said that Spurs did not have any new concerns from Sunday’s defeat to Liverpool. But later in the day, there were suggestions from the Brazil camp that Richarlison had suffered a calf injury that would keep him out of this summer’s Copa America. By extension, and if true, this spells bad news for the rest of this season. Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson are the default starters in attack if Richarlison has indeed joined Timo Werner (hamstring) on the sidelines, while the visit of relegation-threatened Burnley seems like the ideal sort of match to eke some form out of James Maddison. One of Rodrigo Bentancur or Pape Matar Sarr would have to make way if the England international is recalled. The back four would appear to pick itself on paper but Postecoglou revealed that the club have been working with Oliver Skipp at left-back in recent weeks, following his runout in that role off the bench in Gameweek 36. Given how bad Emerson Royal has been there, don't be surprised to see Skipp given a chance from the start. As for the rest of the injury news, Ben Davies (hamstring), Destiny Udogie (thigh), Fraser Forster (foot), Manor Solomon (knee) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) are out for the rest of the campaign.

    • Latest News: David Moyes confirmed that Konstantinos Mavropanos (unknown) and Nayef Aguerd (ankle) remain out, while reports suggest Kalvin Phillips’ (calf) season is over. Lucas Paqueta has trained all week, however, and “seems okay” after last week’s knock. With bench options that range from the serially overlooked (Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet) to the hugely inexperienced (Divin Mubama, George Earthy, Kaelan Casey), there's not much waiting in the wings if Moyes wants to respond to last week's thrashing at Chelsea with changes. James Ward-Prowse is an alternative to Tomas Soucek in midfield or to Michail Antonio in attack; a benching for Antonio would see Jarrod Bowen move into the central striker role.

    • Latest News: Tommy Doyle returns, having been ineligible to feature against his parent club in Gameweek 36. Gary O’Neil’s comments about having "no new issues" also suggest that Mario Lemina is fine: he was taken off with hamstring tightness at the weekend but the Wolves boss said then that the withdrawal was more precautionary in nature. Pedro Neto (hamstring) remains out, however. The midfielder has been back in team training for a while but continues to be held back from the matchday squad, so he stays alongside Craig Dawson (groin) and Leon Chiwome (ankle) on the unavailable list. Santiago Bueno, who could only manage a substitute role last weekend, is a week fitter and closer to the starting XI, while Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Pablo Sarabia will come into the thinking if O'Neil reverts to a 3-4-3, having understandably opted for a more conservative 3-5-2 at the Etihad. Boubacar Traore will likely make way if that does happen, while he may bow out for Doyle even if O'Neil sticks with the same formation.
