Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2011/12 Is Now Open

Fancy Robin Van Persie at 12.0? Or how about Luis Suarez for 9.5? Then you can have ’em.

Yes folks, it’s the day (night) we’ve all been waiting for. It’s here. Finally.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has opened its doors for season 2011/12.

After a few false starts last week, with the new look needing one or two final tweaks, everything is now in order and we can begin to pick our squads ahead of the big kick-off on the 13th of next month.

So waste no more time and head on over to the Premier League official site to begin picking your fifteen.

We’ll have a further round-up of some of the prices in a little while but in the meantime, put off your bedtime for just a while. FPL is back.

Oh, and in case you are all wondering: Aleksander Kolarov is priced at 6.5. Don’t all rush at once, now.

Any thoughts on what mids are most likely to start for Liverpool on a regular basis?

I'm looking at getting Downing as he is only 8.5 but I'm worried about rotation.

        I'll need to see Arsenal sell some players before investing in Ramsey.
        
        Even then, we may need to sell both Cesc and Nasri and not replace either for him to be a starter.

        2005? Check your stats. Duff has put up good number in the last 2 seasons. In fact much better than 2005 (and 2006, 07, 08, 09)

    I've never rated him at all but he has the potential to go on a goal-run if he gets a bit of confidence back.
    I only suggested him because his price reflects an absolutely woeful last season.

Seems a lot of budget midparks about.

As ever, you pick your 15 and find your 2 mill over. It came down to Kompany and Baines so Bad K got booted.

Not sure why ppl are flocking to Suarez when he isn't playing in the first games? 💡

any obvious duds? i guess its wise to not bring in anyone that could be negatively affected by the transfer window, so i may need to rethink wilshere and dempsey before gameweek 1. any obvious must haves? do i need to have baines or vidic from the get go? Thoughts?

Craddock and Bramble at 4.5 are decent sorts. Given is an obvious steal at 5 mill. Do any of the newly promoted gks rotate well with him?

Drog at 10.5 and Ba at 6.5 look quite attractive.

  I wouldn't big Nani. Too expensive and seems to be out of favour with Ferguson. Etherington's got pretty poor early fixtures and Suarez may not start the early games. Otherwise, not bad.
