Members Area Upgraded

Earlier today we upgraded the Members Area to the new site template, giving everything a facelift as we rolled out the ICT Scout Index – our Fantasy Football Player Index.

We will make a detailed post on the ICT index later this evening, although if you want some early insight into how this works you can refer to this earlier post which explains the basics.

Members can currently view Top 10’s for Influence, Creativity and Threat, plus the Index score, from last season via their new Members dashboard in the Members Area. Full ICT Index scores can then be gathered via the Player Stats > Fantasy Index tables. You can view these tables by position or for all players.

Much more on this to come later.

We are working to roll out the new site template to the main site. We’re currently still optimising the new design and will look to carry out further tests in the next week before announcing a release date.

          I've played around with cheap-ish midfields like that and I don't like it. Silva is your only prestige player there and I'm not convinced of his fantasy potential. You're realistically going to have to play 4 of them every week if you keep that defence and Sessegnon/Taarabt aren't going to be consistently good scorers.. also, if Enrique doesn't move he's useless, and it doesn't look like he's moving before GW1.

    I'm feeling pretty cautious about getting Drogba. Even if he plays away to Stoke (tough game - especially if raining) Torres could easily be back in contention for the easier games.

    Do be think Drogba will get a run or do they just want to think he'll get a good run?

      I am fairly confident Torres will play in the good run of fixtures we have but the question whether Drogba will play with him not instead of in my view. Drogba will play against Stoke but after that it is unclear.

    Stoke look like they'll be playin with some variation on 3-5-2 this season. Woodgate, Upson, Shawcross & Huth are all damn fine CBs on their day, difficult to pick between them though.

          Kind of - he played as an advanced midfielder last year, behind the main striker.

          He's a bit of a work horse, though - not exactly the Riquelme-style playmaker you'd hope to find in that position.

          I always get the impression it's his job to press the opposition high up the pitch.

    Assuming Arsenal sell Fabregas, they should sign Mario Gotze. Just watched the Brazil - Germany and he was brilliant. Some of the passes he pulled off were unbelievable and he scored as well. He scored and assisted at the weekend as well, he fits into Arsene's model of buying young players so it could work out.

    Hopefully though Chelsea sign him instead of Modric. In other news I barely noticed that Neymar was playing until he scored at the very end.

      Yes, Götze was excellent again this evening and he looks to be the biggest all-round talent that Germany have unearthed in the last 20 years.

      But, believe me, neither he nor Schweinsteiger are moving to England this season - they don't want to leave, and their clubs don't want them to leave.

    Waiting for the official announcement but Guillem Balague and others are reporting that Arsenal have accepted Barcelona‘s bid of €40m for Cesc Fabregas. Offer includes €29 + €6 variables  + €5 from Fabregas in bonuses he will not receive.

    The variables are that Arsenal will reportedly receive the additional €6 if Barca win La Liga twice and the Champions League during term of Fabregas’s contract

    I can only believe that Arsenal are agreeing to the deal now because Arsene Wenger already has agreed on a replacement for Fabregas.

    What do you think of the deal? Happy that this transfer saga is finally over or disappointed that Fabregas is leaving?

        I think Cesc is a significant loss to both asrenal and the league BUT I think arsenal are getting rid at a good time. The repetitive hamstring issues he has at this level are not going to go away and I think he is going to struggle physically for the rest of his career. I am not sure he will ever be the force he was 2 years ago. He will always be a great play maker because of his vision and passing skills but his influence will wane.

            Yup once there is significant scar tissue, your pace goes there is a subtle loss of confidence to take off suddenly or change direction (because you are subconsciously worried about a little tweak). Suddenly you are caught more often in possession, can't make space to beat the defender or make the killer pass.
