The Big Numbers – Gameweek Thirty Five

Everton stun United at Old Trafford to leave the door ajar for City and set up a momentous Manchester derby. City did the business as expected at Molineux, with Sergio Aguero netting for the third consecutive game to bring the title race to the boil.

Our Members can dive into the statistics from all the Gameweek’s action so far, with our selection of the key numbers to follow, along with a view on the possible destination of the Fantasy Premier League bonus points…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

He wasn't "injury prone", just injured. Otherwise he'd still be injured.

If he was getting injured with an uncanny regularity, as he was, would that not make him injury prone in the past (even if that isn't the case now)?

If you have him then keep him but don't expect him to play both matches. It's not about how many dgw'ers you can get. It's about scoring the most points until the end.

yeah :D, probably you would need at least 1 of the big 3 ( aguero, Roon, RVP) instead of Ade than. And maybe you could get Moses instead of HBA to bench for this GW and than he has nice 2 games to come. Second keeper could be Kenny for the nice fixture in GW 37. As far as defenders go im a bit not sure, but you could look at someone from Stoke or Wigan for a punt or just go for A City or United def.

I was a big fan of Rafael in recent games, but today was all at sea. Didnt attempt to jump with Jelavic and was ball watching when Pienaar scored. I am not too worried about us scoring goals there though, I just feel as if they will outscore us.

Rafael is one of my favourite United players, he almost stepped up remarkably to the biggest plate of them all in *that* UCL quarter-final but that Ribery had other ideas. I too have been delighted by his form of late. Yes, that jump or rather failure to jump was really annoying considering he can actually jump high in the air.

Evra needs to lead the side properly as our current captain, he had an unspeakable shocker in *that* derby earlier in the season. It is wrong that our captain and such an experience defender is a major weakness in our team! Let's be optimistic though, it's not like the players haven't got it in them.

He is one of my favourite players in the modern game, even if he is the leader of the dark side. I will never forget the FA Cup match between us this season, especially his extraordinarily dignified reaction to being incorrectly sent off. City would be in United's current league position had he not been wrongly suspended and later injured at a key time.

    Simpson, Kelly, Ekotto

    Bale, Demps, McClean, Sigurdsson

    Rooney, Van Persie, PCisse

    Bench: Ruddy, Caulker, Valencia, Evans

Transfer 1 is definetaly Rooney to Jellyfish

Transfer 2 is more dilemma. McClean def. out but who should I bring in? Want a Chelsea coverage. Think Lamps will be rested for the Fa cup final? Sooo Lampard or Mata?

Quick bit of advice please lads. My main ML has come down to a 13 point lead for me, plus he has Petrov and Ream still to go. (Squeeky bums)
    He has Bale.
Should I do Walcott to Bale (and play safe to cover him)
or Walcott to VDV (riskier, but potentially bigger reward)

I have other options for this week's transfers but I would appreciate an answer for this decision alone.

    Thanks as always

I have Bale but would prefer VDV right now. You don't think one hit to get a dgw player in wold be wise? Richards surely has to go.

This. Stuck with Bale. Not bringing VDV in due to spurs being meh. double toffees for me

        Hi 4vets. As I said I have other options. My current plan is ;

        Suarez to Jelavic
        Walcott to Bale or VDV
        Brunt to Pienaar

Benching Richards and then he's gone for Vermaelan in 37.

So...VDV or Bale (main rival has Bale) ??

    a) sess, walcott, kelly out for terry pienaar hba (-8pts)
    b) sess, walcott, enrique out for terry vdv hba (-8pts)
    c) sess, walcott, enrique out for terry bale pienaar (-8 pts)
    d) sess, walcott, tevez out for vdv hba jelly (-8pts)
    e) sess, walcott, kelly, tevez out for terry vdv hba jelly (-12pts)

seriously leaning towards the last one! gives me enough to either do siggy to nani, cisse to tevez/aguero or cisse to rooney next week

      d) It's not advisable to take an extra hit for a defender, especially one in a side that I don't think will keep a clean sheet in either of their 2 games in the DGW.

disagree, even if United beat City the title isn't secure. United will need to beat Swansea to guarantee it, Rooney will be essential IMO.

If United beat City only a point is needed from the last 2 games. Rooney maybe for his own personal motivation of the Golden Boot, Nani is either hot or cold. It could easily be another burning of extreme short-term loading of players ala City today. 'City players are essential against Wolves' they said.

Rafael or Jones to start next week ( not fpl wise I mean ) For me it has to be rafael despite his poor performance today he would be bette suited to Citys small Skillful players like Silva and Nasri. Jones for me is a bit to clumsy atm

Rafael, by process of elimination. Smalling hasn't been in the picture for too long to be considered otherwise he would have been likely to start a game like this given his form pre-injury. Rafael has outperformed Jones since then and today was just a blip, Fergie will make sure he won't succumb defensively like that next week. Rafael linking up with Valencia on the right has also been a prominent feature of our attacking play of late.
