Evening gents. What a night ! I think this is the reason we all love football. So much drama. So many sub-plots woven into what was a magical night for Chelsea fans. It reminds me of Liverpool in 05....so many heart-in-mouth moments all through the knock out phase.

1) Big congratulations to Chelsea and their fans (special mention to the regular posters on here..Daniel, ENR and those two brothers who don't post anymore because they're having a bad FPL season 😉 )
2) You CAN stop Barcelona from scoring, unfortunately the only way to do it is through sheer gritty determination. This often leads to analysts criticizing their opponents as being too negative...the Catalan media, in particular SPORT ( "Sempre amb el Barça" ) and El Mundo Deportivo and El Periódico de Catalunya will be all over this tomoro morning, slating Chelsea and English football in general..............don't agree with this at all..there is more than one way to win a football match.
3) ACole and Cech have rediscovered their form at exactly the right time and both can be described as world class again (imo)
4) I'm actually delighted for Torres. Even as a Liverpool fan I felt sorry for him on a human level as I don't like to see any player of his quality suffer such gut-wrenching loss of confidence as he has over the last 18 months. Quality, composed finish on the biggest stage. It could be the start of his resurrection.
5) Guardiola shot himself in the foot during his press conference. As the high profile manager of a high profile side, you just can't go firing off four letter expletives and storming out of press conferences just before a CL semi final. After losing El Clasico, this kinda stuff definitely transfers doubt into the minds of his top players. Messi under performed, no doubt about it.
6) John Terry is a massive knob. I am convincedt his PR executive/ Media relations company CEO texted him between HT and FT to tell him that his comments to Geoff Shreeves were ludicrous and to retract them immediately at FT.
7) Geoff Shreeves is a massive knob. Poor Ivanovic. It was like a big, lovable teddy bear having his acrylic heart ripped from his fluffy body. Sky Sports.....horrible.
