Members Area Preview – Stat Map Comparisons

Having added statistical maps to our Match Dashboard a week or so ago, we’ve now brought these new aids into the Player Profiles and, more importantly perhaps, the Stats Comparison Tool.

Our Members can now compare two players head-to-head and get both a statistical view and a graphical view of a players performance. Our new maps allow you to plot stats such as Shots, Chances Created, Crosses, Dribbles, Passes and an array of defensive stats. These can, of course, be filtered by a range of Gameweeks or matches and by home and away fixtures.

The next step is to add a heatmap that will plot a player’s touches on the pitch. We’ll be bringing that to you very soon.

The movie below offers a walkthrough of these new features, running a comparison between Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon and James McClean’s over their last six matches.

Memberships are still available for £12.50 up until the first weekend of the season. Click here for details on how to register or upgrade your account and for all our preview movies so far.

Lukuku 's loan to west brom says to me they will be getting a new striker v soon. Could be cavani, according to reports. Can't believe a top four side would go into the campaign with two cf , one of which is Torres and the other being sturridge. I'm sure Torres will start both double games should he return from puerto RICO in I e piece, but I fear for his long term future.

    Hi,

First time on this site, would be great to get any advice on my team:

    Federici, (Begovic)
    Cole, Lescott, Williams, (Clyne, McCartney)
Hazard, Guthrie, Yaya T, Siggy, (Pienaar)
    Torres (C), Graham, Aguero

All 100 pts used, will sub out Cole for Cuellar in GW2, and free up 2 points to keep option for Rooney

Midfield looks solid. How does that defence work for you? One of Terry/Baines/Lescott everyweek and do the others give you good rotation? Just curious.

      Im working with

Lescott - (Saylor - Cuellar) - Hughes - Demel to fill in the third spot based on fixture ease.

Tmel (fulham fanny) posted this on this thread last night, around 9pm I would say.

          Interview with Jol.

He maybe ok for gw1, but is being assessed.

Jol also said that team starting today is likely to be the 11 for first game of the season.

So keep your eyes peeled. .c.

Hmm, it's tricky - I reckon Wenger is being stubborn and may even make him stay to run out his contract. RVP is a dirty dawg if he goes to United. I don't think Arsenal will let him go there though, we are probably waiting for a better offer elsewhere, I'd hope.

I guess the ideal scenario is he stays, gives his all, and then come January we're top and flying, and he signs a new contract with us. Despite all the press it still wouldn't surprise me if City get him.

Gosh, just can't decide on my 3 team rotation. I'm either going 4.5 + 4.5 + 4 OR 4.5 + 4 + 4. Am I asking too much trying to get nailed on starters for teams with decent clean sheet prospects? It's all good and well having SUN + WHU + SOT and them rotating nicely but if SUN are the only team contributing cleanies, it's pointless.

At the moment I'm set on either DdG + Federici (perhaps changing to Green + Al Habsi or Mignolet + ? if I decide to save cash/go off DdG) and I defo want Sun defensive coverage. I just don't fancy teams like WBA, NOR, WHU, SOT and AVL and I don't want to spend the extra to get (arguably) overprice Newcastle and Swansea defenders.

    Anyone settled on their's?

I've gone with Lescott - Steven Taylor - Cuellar - Hughes - Demel.

I actually get 3 pretty decent fixtures each week with that defence, barring the occasional game against a big team a la United/City/Spurs etc. I think I'll stick to that.

You're right. Don't fancy any of the promoted teams or NOR/QPR to return cleanies.

      Tinker,

I couldn't agree with your first paragraph more. This my view, what's the point of havin 3 rotating defenders if the clubs they are at have little chance of cs, and you gotta pick the rights weeks to.

Laws of probability will be against you on 2 fronts.

      ATM I am....

Cole, Cuellar, Hughes (if fit) Dawson (or colo/Rangel), reading 4m

      So

      6.5, 4.5, 4.5, 5, 4. Keeper is ddg

I want a city ef in there so may downgrade kagawa or Michu,

the main problem with rotating three cheap defenders is that you can almost guarantee the clean sheets wont come in the weeks they are supposed to do so. sure they will do sometimes, but you will also be often kicking yourself with clean sheets on your bench
