The ScoutCast – Episode Ninety Three – Wrapped Up

Possibly the most un-Christmas-like Christmas Podcast we’ve ever recorded, thanks mainly to Granville being banned from editing in the entire MP3 of Dean Martin’s “Let it Snow” but also because neither of us had time to sort our pressies. To be fair, I’m surprised that Granville felt an ounce Christmas spirit after Santi’s showing at Reading opened up a 40-point “chasm” in our min-league. Do I have it all wrapped up already?

To his credit, my co-host takes it all on his bearded chin, joining me to discuss the Felliani fallout, its impact on the transfer trends in “all aboard”, a preview of the weekend fixtures and provided his assistance in the management of the ScoutCast team: an outfit which plundered no less than 80 points thanks to Santi’s haul and Reading’s bulging net.

Unitie the bow and rip this one open via this link, or stream the merriment via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Wouldn't worry too much about it. All the top clubs will unexpectedly rest players or take them off early. He'll miss one game max and he's capable against any opposition.

Next week for the ARS:WHU blank… Reckon I can just about afford to bench my 3 players and save them for the nice run and DGW that follow. Best transfer to make next week?

    A) Ba -> Berba. Polar opposite fixtures.
    B) Sess -> someone? Nobody really appeals in that price range though.
    C) Something else

    Federici (SWA)
Enrique (sto), Hughes (SOT), Cuellar (MCY)
Silva (sun), Yaya (sun), Taarabt (WBA), Sess (MCY)
RVP (NEW), Ba (mun), Suarez (sto)

Jaask (Blank), Clyne (ful), Walcott (Blank), McCartney (Blank)

I have said from the beginning Berbs is a differant animal when surrounded by high class players. He as seen at QPR can be marked out of a game, he will have to much harder at Fulham, thats not his cup of tea.

Know what you mean, but I still think he'll do OK over those games, and his record this year of 5 goals, 3 assists, 9 BPs from 12 starts isn't woeful.

    Begovic
    Rafael Enrique Cameron
    Mata Michu Silva Nolan
    Ba RVP Fletcher

    Subs; Jaask, Sterling, Caulker, McCartney
1 FT and 1.3 million to spend

you seem to have a bee in your bonet about this - let it lie man - I think Reading are doomed and YES, maybe they are demoralized. If they get a hammering on the weekend, which is highly likely they will definitely be demoralized..............when they look at the bookies odds for relegation they will DEFINITELY be demoralized, when they listen to their half assed manager that can only lead to yet more demoralization............in all I think there might be an air of demoraliationism in their camp........................what do you think??

I think there's more heavy hitters this year. Far more difficult to get the right one in and keep them when their haul arises. In the old days you got lampard, Rooney and fabregas in.. Captained one and it'd get you top 20k no problem. This year I for one have suffered from not getting the right heavy hitter at the Right time. Tricky year.

I disagree with everyone else and this season really has been unpredictable imo.

      *Injuries to Rooney and Aguero
      *Tevez becoming the terminator
*Adebayor not getting minutes once signed
      *Mata, Bale, Hazard rotating scores
*Lambert simply isn't Holt (the new striker who scores pretty consistently throughout)

To be fair I may have been able to make a similiar list last season but from what I remember I wouldn't have.

I'm a current Mata owner, but am seriously considering selling this week, as I'm 98% certain he will be 'rested' Saturday. I'd rather have a Bale, Silva or Walcott who will startand most likely get some decent points this GW.
