The Big Numbers – Gameweek 18

Chelsea’s rout of the Villa back four generated some impressive statistics for Rafa Benitez’s men, whilst over the way in West London, Martin Jol’s Fulham are stacking up numbers on the other end of the spectrum. We take a closer look at the team statistics involved, along with a focus on the form of David Silva, Steven Pienaar and Demba Ba as we plunder the members area for the key statistics from Gameweek 18.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

on bottom of last page 🙁

Currently on Michu (c), but as ever can’t escape the feeling that this will be the GW RvP goes crazy. But Michu plays Reading, who I think will be set up differently at home v Swans than they were away at City, could be some space for Michu, who let’s face it, is basically fixture proof.

Thoughts people, who are you going with?

People looking for a new keeper in Jan may be in luck. Sinan Bolat has been recovering from injury with us since November and apparently it's pretty much a done deal. Schwarzer has been poor this season so I wouldn't be surprised by a change. Bolat has a great goal threat too, anyone remember this? 😉

    Blue Teets,

Apparently Alex Ferguson is an authority when it comes to anatomy and physiology. I'm just an aspiring pharmacist, not a doctor. But as an educated human being who never even needed to go to college for this opinion, I say no, he was never going to die that's why I asked if any other person agreed with this nonsense. He and Fergie are cheaters of death apparently. Can't wait to see what Pepe and Marcelo are going to do now if that's what it's going to take for him to cry bloody murder.

Having seen someone hospitalised with concussion over a similar incident it was a bit dangerous, but certainly not life threatening. Fergie was just being Fergie, you've just got to laugh at him.

    TOTAL:
    21 games
    +16 =3 -2
    HOME:
    +11 =3 -0
    AWAY:
    +5 =0 -2
    Goals scored: 1.62
    Goals conceded: 0.67
Cleen Sheets: 12 out of 21

To sum up, the presence of the 'bouncing back effect' is obvious. When a team concedes 6 goals or more, they win their next game in 76% of observations. The only two losses were observed in games away from home. Besides, there was a 56% chance to keep a cleen sheet.

These numbers imply that Tottenham Hottspurs are in big trouble on Wednesday. It seems reasonable to avoid their players and purchase Aston Villa players, defenders in particular.

It might be more readable if it were written in binary.

Nastasic. Think he's more nailed on and City have been solid

Anyone else worried by so many being on 4 yellows?

I've currently got Michu, Taarabt, Vertongen and thinking of getting in Rooney. If even 2 of those were out for the same week I'd be stuck.

This is what transfers are for. I wouldn't worry about something that might not happen.
