Fantasy Premier League Tease “Ultimate” Game

The Fantasy Premier League registration pages have been updated today and with it came the news that a new game is on the horizon.

According to the released information, “Ultimate Fantasy Premier League” will be a pay to play game that will deliver a new squad-based experience.

Fantasy managers will select a 25-man squad with a budget of £160 million at their disposal. A prize pot of £15,000 is promised, with £1,000 available to monthly winners – the first time that the Fantasy Premier League have offered cash prizes.

The game promises to deliver the “Ultimate Fantasy Football Challenge” but, aside from these few nuggets, no further information on the game is confirmed.

With the Fantasy Premier League closing in on a launch, we’re now also waiting on more details on this new game, which promises to add a whole new dimension to our seasons.

We’ll look to bring you more information in the next week or so.

      Surprised to see so many think Villa, I think quite the opposite, they will be this year's WBA and exceed expectations in my view. They started poor but the squad got settled, manager is good, and have added a few capable players.

    Demba Ba has today been backed in from 50/1 to 8/1 with Sky Bet to join Aston Villa this summer as punters anticipate the Chelsea striker replacing Christian Benteke, who is odds-on (8/11) to go to Tottenham.

    That is a deal I would love to see happen.

          There is very little difference in terms of overall ability and quality between Ba and Tekkers - perhaps even a slight advantage in favour of Ba if I was pushed to make a choice (imo).

        7-8M - depending upon when the transfer occurs (if he still classed as a Chelsea player when FPL opens he will of course be priced higher unfortunately).

        Depends how they see it. Could be priced lower at Chelsea due to not being guaranteed pitch time, and higher at Villa due to no doubt being nailed on.

        I'm not sure how they work these things out though.

      Hmm. RVP not essential? He returned points 30 times last year. Highest scorer 2 years running. Best player in best team. Central striker for them. On pens. Fixture proof. Default captain. Somehow I think he is more essential than every other player whatever the fixtures.

        At the time I put that comment in people we talking about him being 13.5 & even 14. Think Bale is essential so wre he to come in at 12ish you would b blowing a quarter of the budget on 2 players.

        I am about 90% sure I will get him though.

      The first series was amazing but it did get a bit crap near the end.

      Plus home come when the doctor lady got banged up he got her out in about a week, but for his brother he had to go through a long process of getting himself jailed and breaking out from the inside?

    Bad move from FPL by splitting the 2million yearly players!!

    They should have created the possibility for Cash mini leagues, but not creating new rules, new game.
