We roll out another instalment of our new weekly article for Members this evening, offering an in-depth statistical analysis of the main captaincy contenders for the Gameweek ahead. Each of the top four supply us with a player apiece this time out as we crunch the numbers to determine whether there really is an alternative to a certain Uruguayan for the armband:
Next week if you must.
Open ControlsTempted to do the same move next week. Do you think Ozil is a season keeper? It is frustrating to see Hazard and YaYa out score him.
Open ControlsI do think Özil will be the highest point scorer in midfield. Timing may be crucial with him if he does go on a cold streak though.
Open Controls
Scouts, you should really look to update the 'Set Piece Takers' bit in the new year.
Open ControlsRooney to Lukaku lets me do:
Whittingham to Lampard or Guzman to Nasri next week.
Worth it??Open ControlsSwann not a happy camper.
Open ControlsI have Remy and I do want to trade him out for Lukaku next week. But I really wish to hold on this week, because -
Both have equally difficult fixtures (though I see United more likely to concede).
Both are in good form.
I would rather spend my FT on someone who might not play/be rested that on a sure-starter.
But I'm under pressure here with Lukaku rising tonight. Stick or twist?Open ControlsIf this is going to be a low scoring GW (and let's face it after a triple digit GW every GW is) then where are the differential points going to be?
Open ControlsThird striker spot, fourth midfielder spot, defenders and keeper. Game is gone that way now. In a way I hope Suarez doesn't keep this up because it's going to make things a lot less interesting.
Open ControlsThe teams that played at home midweek and are at home again at the weekend, have quite a big advantage, IMO. There are a fair few teams that played away and have to travel again in a very short space of time. They can't possibly have prepared well for both away fixtures.
Back-to-back HOME games:
+ Sunderland*
+ Palace*
+ Man U
+ Southampton
+ Liverpool*
+ Fulham
+ West Brom*
+ Arsenal*
+ Stoke
+ Swansea*
I'd be looking at those teams who put in a good performance midweek (*).Open ControlsWell noted. Good spot, will mull over this.
Open Controls
Don't know what to do this week. Any advice ??
Mig lewis
Chico Dawson Mert Gabbidon CLYNE
OSCAR Nasri Ramsey Jwp Brady
ROONEY Kun Suarez
.5 in the bank 1ft
Thanks in advance ladOpen ControlsOscar for hazard, you'v probably just enough to do it before price rise...maybe Rooney to lukaku but not essential imo
Open Controls
The biggest influencing factor for me whether I'm going to keep Rooney is RVP's fitness. Had RVP played in the last 3 games, we'd all be looking to sell Rooney anyway.
Open Controls*waves*
Open Controls
Not sure if I should ditch Rooney for Lukaku. For Trigger, it is easy, as helps get Hazard for Sessegnon. For me I am not sure my improvements merit it. Obviously if RVP was coming back I'd be more inclined as RVP will take points away from Rooney. Assuming we don't know, are these midfield improvements worth Rooney to Lukaku.
Whittingham to Lampard or Guzman to Nasri next week.
Worth it? 🙂Open ControlsNeed help. Hopefully i get it in the DZ.
Bit stuck atm. Could use some advice.
- FT is gone.
- I am stuck with Rooney and Ravel ( normally first sub) out. Both suspended. Other midfield is Nasri, Walcott, Hazard
- Two subs are only Chester and Baker.
- I have Walcott who is very unlikely to start on Saturday.
Should i take a hit to take Rooney out or Just play Chester or Baker
Thank you.Open ControlsThink playing Baker (Fulham away) is your best bet
Keep RooneyOpen ControlsDoubt Baker will play 🙁
Open Controls
Type your team out.

Did Clyne>ward alreadyOpen ControlsChester gives you 11. Only sell if you don't want back.
Open Controls
I'd be happy to play Baker and if he doesn't start what of it. Whoever you get in for Rooney would have to at least get an assist. Do you want Rooney for xmas - probably the no.1 consideration.
Open Controls
In order to keep Ozil & Sess this GW, and to upgrade Oscar to Hazard - need to free up 0.6 funds (2FTs)
Januzaj > Alex Pozuelo?
Current side:
Vorm Ruddy
Mertesacker G.Johnson A.Williams Clyne Wilson
Ozil Ramsey Oscar Sessegnon Januzaj
Rooney Lukaku SuarezOpen Controlswhich one do you prefer from GW 16 until January WC ?
A. Gazza Davis
Coleman GlenJo Dawson Ward BTURNER
Hazard Ramsey Ravel Yaya GERRARD
Aguero Suarez LUKAKU
or
B. Gazza Davis
Coleman GlenJo Dawson Ward MERTESACKER
Hazard Ramsey Ravel Yaya BANNAN
Aguero Suarez ROONEY
need advice please..Open ControlsDecision made on Rooney >> Lukaku. I'll be happy to play SAL on Gw15-16 and look at Rooney again if I want him more than one of SAL from Gw17.
Any update about Clyne & Vlaar their chance to play?Open ControlsDone the exact same change. Made 0.3m on Rooney, Lukaku goes up 0.2m, and Rooney goes down 0.1m, could easily swap back after GW16 for no loss at all if it looks like we desperately need Rooney. If not helps boost rest of team.
Open Controls
Any Lukaku news I should be worried about before buying him?
Open Controlswonderful fixtures by United + Rooney on form
Why are seeling Rooney?
cant understand..........Open ControlsHard to justify the outlay over Lukaku if you're not gonna captain him.
Open Controlssome teams have 3 or 4 players that are doubts for the gameweek, given that Rooney is definetly out ... for some its the best option to get 11 players.... some just for the gameweek
Open Controlssuarez and aguero are enough for captaincy options. if your not going to captain rooney then lukaku + 3mill will be a much better option i think
Open Controlswhat they said 🙂
Open ControlsPeople trying to get an edge ;).
I admit it's risky and could backfire but there's a chance of Lukaka get close to Rooney over the same span.Open Controls
Pick 2 to Bench from this crew...
Shaw (Mci) Dawson(Sund) Ivanovic (Stoke)..... Gabbidon (Car) , Murner (Wbrom)
I'm thinking of benching Shaw and playing Gabbidon and benching MurnerOpen ControlsShaw and dawson
Open Controls
Lads - more help required ..... than England's bowling attack
1ft with 1.3itb
Squad
Davis , Gazzaniga
GJ, Zabs, Flanagan, Turner, Rosenior,
Ozil, Walcott,Barkley, Morrison. Townsend
Aguero, Suarez, Rooney
Surprise me ?Open ControlsI think Barkley will play this week.... I'd keep Rav Morr for his next game.....
so it has to be
townsend to Whitt/Brunt
or
rooney and townsend to Lukaku and Hazard if the money is there?Open Controls
Is Alex Pozuelo first choice now guys? Or will he be replaced soon / when Michu/Bony are back? Need a cheap midfielder
Open ControlsRotation risk with Dyer, Routledge and Hernandez but Laudrup bought him and should be nailed on for Hull and Norwich.
Open Controls
Jonjo Shelvey makes me laugh! just saw his goals lol... he has shown us many times this year just how much of a clumsy clutz he is lol.... being so clumsy, awkward and unpredictable, it works in his favour sometimes
Open ControlsI prefer to use the term 'unpolished'
Open Controls
Likely to be Brady > Pozuelo with my FT this week. Has the potential to backfire with Brady being on pens but @4.2m, he'll allow me to do Nasri > Silva when he returns.
Open ControlsRemy ---> Suggestions? have Ag and Suarez and also have 9.5 to spend 🙂
Open ControlsPoor Stokes. 😀
Open ControlsOf course. Play also. On holidays but back in Oz next week.
Open Controls
Oscar and Rooney - Hazard and long -4
Next week Long - Lukaku
Worth it? Only way I can afford to get Haz this gw and before the rises!!!! HelpOpen ControlsNasri to Hazard for free?
Or save FT to do BOTH:
Migs -> Howard
Giroud -> Lukaku
next weekOpen ControlsRepost Sorry:
