We roll out another instalment of our new weekly article for Members this evening, offering an in-depth statistical analysis of the main captaincy contenders for the Gameweek ahead. Each of the top four supply us with a player apiece this time out as we crunch the numbers to determine whether there really is an alternative to a certain Uruguayan for the armband:
LUKAKAAAAAA
In my team for the 3rd time this seasonOpen ControlsChweg

Can't believe I'm getting a Palace player. The world is mad.
Open ControlsLampard a viable alternative to Hazard/Oscar?
Open ControlsYou've changed that? I'm sure that didn't have a '?' earlier....
Open Controls
Actually that a ridiculous question when you look at his scores this season. Of course he is.
Open ControlsI'm considering him. On the other hand having him and Gerrard both in my team might be too 2008.
Open ControlsIf he was nailed on, yes. But look at his minutes. Seems to be taken off fairly early.
Open ControlsDespite his minutes he's still keeping up with most midfielders.
Open ControlsWell yeah, it's Lampard, he's always good for goals. How annoyed will you be if he misses the Palace game though.
Open Controls
Started 11/14 and played in all games. Pretty decent. He was subbed on at halftime against Southampton for the 48' appearance.
Open Controls
Na. Too many questions over a starting berth for my liking.
Open ControlsI'd say so
Open Controlsnot regular starter so not really in my view
Open ControlsYes. I think if by some miracle of team value you could fit Frank and a cheap in as fourth and fifth MIDs it could be unreal.
Open ControlsMaking my mids
Ozil Ramsey Gerrard Lampard PozueloOpen ControlsNot when Michu, Bony and Vasquez are all available, but that wont be until nearly January. I'd only really be playing him this week and benching him the rest of the time.
Open Controls
I had Pozeulo in my GW5 (I think it was then) wildcard. Kept him for weeks and gave up just before he began starting.
Open Controls
not IMO
Though I plan on having both Hazard and Lampard soon
Covers Chelsea set-pieces nicely. Plus with the way they're defending atm they'll need to score goalsOpen ControlsNo a midpriced option alongside Hazard though he is.
Open Controls
Alright folks.
Brady >
A) Bannan
B) Brunt
C) Shelvey
Leaning A to free up funds..Open ControlsRemy or Lukaku?
Open ControlsLukaku easy peasy.
Open Controls
Hi folks,
Migs
Williams - Vlaar - Terry - Chester
Hazard - Ozil - Ramsey
Rooney - Suarez - Tekkers
Should I do Rooney --> Lukaku this week and buy him back in the next for Tekkers? Despite his SV for me being 10.8 and when I buy him back will be about 11.1? Or should I just leave it?
Vlaar and Clyne are also 'injured', so I could be screwed.
Help?Open ControlsLost at end of last page:
Migs (Marshall)
Mert, Coleman, Fonte, Pieters (Ollson)
Gerrard, Ramsey, Miralles, Brady (Morrison)
Suarez, Remy (Rooney)
Ollson, Miralles, Morrison to Williams, Shelvey and Hazard for -8? (Bringing in Lukaku for Remy next week)Open ControlsJenkinson people. Talk to me. Nice and cheap and Sagna out for a while. Arsenal defence been solid of late all be it fixtures are on the turn for them soon?
Open ControlsI don't think we know how long Sagna is out for do we?
Open ControlsNot heard anything about it yet. Unluckily even if he was, it would be just when the fixtures turn crap.
Open ControlsDefinitely a bargain after the next 3 if Bac is out for a while. Would be really annoying though as an Arsenal fan.
Open ControlsDitto, why do we always lose our first choice eleven for the big games. I'd like us to play a big team for once when we are in good shape.

Is there a scoutcast tonight?
Open ControlsNo. Marks birthday.

Rooney > Aguero (free)
Cabaye > Shelvey (free)
Think RVP will soon take a share of Rooneys points and Suarez and Aguero score heavier more often so would be safer captain choices. Can't afford Rooney to Aguero. Hate it how Aguero never plays a full game but he often doesn't need 90mins, Thoughts?Open ControlsWhat is the next number in this sequence?
13 6 10 17x2 2 16x2 9x2 2 24x2Open ControlsNew Post (NO MATHS) 😀
Open Controls😆 ITS RELEVANT
Open Controls12x2 would be my answer. Goal and assist.
Open ControlsPlausible against West Ham yeah, he's got to be the automatic captain choice.
Open Controls
It's Suárez, isn't it? His points, doubled when you captained him. And the next number in the sequence is his next score, so... let's call it n, where n is any integer between -4 and +36.
Open ControlsPretty much 😆
Open Controls
Thoughts on Barkley and Townsend to Brunt and Shelvey for free?
Or go with say Bannan and a 6.2 midfielder?Open ControlsI'd really appreciate some advice if anyone can help?
This is my starting 11 at the moment
Marshall
GJ Terry Olsson Vlaar
Hazard Ramsey Cabaye Brady
Suarez Aguero
Krul Clyne Rooney Morrison
A) Clyne to ward
B) Rooney to lukaku
C) Morrison to ?Open ControlsAny love for Patrice Evra around these parts? I'm thinking the extra security and attacking threat is worth the extra money over Johnny Evans, and that he should get more clean sheets than Zabaleta up until the January wildcard the way the fixtures lie
Then there is of course Kyle Walker too, who I think looks like a decent bet as well. Compared him and Evra using the comparison tool and I think Evra comes out on top due to his vastly superior threat in the box. Walker is a bit like Glen Johnson in that he gets forward a lot without often looking very dangerous. On the other hand, again, he takes some set pieces and stuff now. And Tottenham have of course been much more solid defensively than United.
Have United showed any real signs of tightening up lately? I think they were decent yesterday - it was a fairly unlucky goal to concede and Evra did, as usual, have a top chance well saved.Open ControlsIf I were to get a premium defender now, I'd go for Kompany. I know they have to tough home games coming up, but they are so solid at Etihad.
Open ControlsVery very interesting call that. I wonder if he's the type that will mop up the bonus points?
Open Controls
United's CS really kills it. No plausible amount of attacking points is going to make it worth it imo. Plus you might as well spend the extra money on attackers not defenders.
Open ControlsTHIS is why I'm getting rid of Terry
Open ControlsI don't think I can improve the attackers I have personally. I could definitely get better midfielders but I don't really fancy most midfielders more than their similarly played defender counterparts
Open ControlsI've been monitoring the midfielders and with Hazard's explosion, Ozil continuing to tick along, Michu/Walcott/Silva returning and Mata a possibility, I think the points will return to midfield as usual - it's just taken a while this year.
Open ControlsPlus the very high scoring ones in plain sight we ignore - Gerrard & Yaya
Open Controls
Any need to sell Clyne when I have Dawson, Terry, Coleman & Burner?
Open Controlsno need
Open Controls
Think Barkley's worth keeping for everton's easy fixtures.
Open ControlsReply fail
Open Controls
Midfield of: Ozil, Ramsey, Yaya, Ravel and Brady.
2FTs, bring in Shelvey for Brady?Open ControlsRamsay Hazard Whittingham Oscar
Kun Suarez Lukaku
9.6m to spend on an Oscar replacement.
Was thinking Shelvey for fixtures and price rise, but Gerard keeps calling me,
Hit the Shelvy button ??????Open ControlsGerard. Also rising.
Open Controls
I just compared Giroud and Bendtner in the Comparison Tool over the past two game weeks. (To make it even)
Not the best range of data to compare but if it is accurate... Bendner should be starting more!Open ControlsEvs - what u think on Evans worth getting for their nice run?
I have 0.5m in the bank and can do Clyne / Rat > EvansOpen ControlsI have him.
I think it's worth the risk, but only if you have other good defence cover to come off the bench.Open Controls
Does Thomass fancy doing my Maths homework?
Only a bit of first principles differentiation.....Open Controls

Is there any news on Oscar for the weekend?
