Rodgers went with a diamond which left them with two up front rather than a front three with Sterling. Suarez certainly appeared to occupy the central area more often although I'm not 100% convinced this was behind his revival. To be honest, it was probably coming regardless of the system.

The move seems sensible to get numbers in for the slim 29, but my concern is having Rooney for the double. It will leave me in a situation where I'll need to take a hit to get Aguero for the fat 31, and taking a hit to remove a double gw Rooney feels mental.
