FFS UEFA World Cup – The Scouting Period

Following last week’s launch of the FFS World Cup 2014, we opened the game for captain applications. We would like to thank all the 48 applicants, who took the bold leap of faith towards captaincy. For those of you who applied to be captains but were not chosen, you can still participate in the game. If you were wanting more of a leadership role, feel free to talk to a captain and see if they could have you as a vice-captain.

How can you join the fun?

Starting immediately, the captains are allowed to begin recruiting for their 5 team members, including the captain. Each team captain decides who we wants in his team from now until the 11th of Jun. So those interested in joining a team, please approach the respective captain.

For those who played in the Beach Soccer World Cup, you would remember the Live Scorecast developed by Pratik. You will be delighted to know that Pratik along with Isacki are looking to develop something similar for this game. Stay tuned!

Hi All
With the world cup around the corner and with most team captains well into their recruiting or even have finished this process. I think I should get a move on. I’m captaining the Nigerian team and am looking for teammates. Nigeria is looking to win the world cup, a feat only achieved by their over age under 17 and 19’s. At senior level, Nigeria is yet to reach its full potential but this is the year it all changes.

For my team I’m looking for lurkers! It’s time to crawl out of the crevices and get involved! I’m not going to spend the next 10 days begging all the popular site regulars to join my team, it’s my first involvement in a game like this and it would be great if a couple new faces could join the game with me and enjoy the experience. If you are an ultimate lurker and don’t have a FFS account, sign up and join in on the fun!

I can offer my team members a detailed breakdown of the Macdonald rules (if they stay the same) and a team by team breakdown of the players that are most likely to benefit from these (horrible) rules. The game as it stands is all down to strategy and knowledge of the rules so if you are keen to lead Nigeria to glory then pop me a message on my email address below. An added bonus will be beating your casual friends in your mini-league, that I can assure you!

I have simple philosophy for standard of players for Portugal.
1 there will be very little communication between team, we will do it all by telepathy.
2 everyone will play, even if they turn up drunk, in fact only if they turn up drunk
3 in the spirit of all dogs you can pee anywhere you want
4 you must promise to keep playing game all the way to the end so we have a chance of winning when we get to final

        We are hoping to do well in the tournament but have good craic at the same time. I am looking for people with good ranks but also people who are on the site regularly to encourage discussion and banter with other people on other teams. Overall looking for an enjoyable and successful experience. Would really appreciate having you as vice captain. It would make a difference to the team and increase both the level of success and enjoyment in this tournament.

      Indeed doggie, you need to sign in. And you'll need player team details too (McD ID mostly) but that's going to be unavailable till late in the Scouting Period, so didn't ask just yet 🙂

        Ah don't worry too much about it for now. It was actually supposed to be done by editing in the formula bar.

        whereby you simply change the player name for now and insert the mcD ID later 🙂

  I think I've got access to the 'home' page as I can edit that, but when I click on the squads tab it says I can't edit it. Any idea what to do?

    Ah weird, you certainly have edit access to the whole sheet as there isn't an option to segregate by tabs. Do you wanna try later when you're on a PC?

  We have Steve, a hard tackling boxer who has ability to get a whole ball in his mouth.
  Koenig Luther who is getting a dog change as we speak
  Myself who will be using years of watching JT perform his magic and use his skill to help me, and he might tell me something about football
  And you our secret weapon, an old fashioned nippy winger
  So that leaves one kennel free
  
  I have no clue about players history or fpl scores as I can't see how that matters.
  It is all down to how we perform in the heat.
  Oh and we will be using the K9 formation
