New Season Memberships Now Available

Fantasy Football Scout memberships for 2014/15 are now available for just £12.50. Last season’s memberships expired back on June 1 but you can now renew to get access to the members area.

Existing registered users can upgrade via this link. New users, who are yet to get a registered account, can sign up via this link.

Currently, payments are made solely through Paypal but we expect to have a new payment method in place via Stripe, in the next two weeks.

For those new to Fantasy Football Scout memberships, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page. You can also view the 2-minute trailer below for a snapshot – an updated preview movie for this season.

Last season we were very proud to help both the winner of the Fantasy Premier League, Tom Fenley, and the Ultimate Fantasy Premier League Beta, Alex Bowers, on their successful campaigns: both were Fantasy Football Scout members.

The support provided by our members since we launched has has enabled us to continue to improve the site and we’re looking to develop the members offering further over the season – we hope to bring you news of the first developments next month.

If you’ve any feedback or suggestions of content that you’d like to see added to the members area, then please feel free to drop me a line at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Membership may or may not be directly proportional to rank. I've seen a lot of people becoming victim of overthinking and overanalyzing. I had my best FPL season when I was a non-member too.

Having said all that, I think most on here get membership just as a way to pass their thank you's to the Scouts. Least we can all do.

Well, I'd ruled out Granville as he'd no doubt have picked a non public domain song and given you kittens. Jonty being the dullard he is would have picked something MOR like Phil Collins (actually I know this isn't true as he has excellent taste in music but lets not let that stand in the way of a tired running joke) so you would have been my guess 🙂

I can't think of Simply Red without thinking of the Viz strip Billy the Fish when Melchester Rovers brought in 'flamed haired winger Mick Hucknell' to shore up their attack.

My favourite Billy the Fish moment (although there are many) is the episode which ends with the referee saying that the last gasp equaliser scored by the conjoined twins against deadly rivals Grimthorpe doesn't count as a goal.

Next episode - it counts as two goals - Melchester win! 🙂

Squad of 23 means you plan for a rotation across the group stages. e.g. France and italian defenders rotate to give games against: Honduras, Costa Rica, Ecuador

As a Chelsea fan, I can't see the Fabregas deal happening. Sounds like one of those lavish, lazy rumors of the speculation season.

Don't think the system needs a changing. The likes of a box to box mid is a more realistic option at the moment. Fabregas can't do that. And after last season, if Ramires starts, it'd be a travesty of immense proportions.

I think Mourinho wants Koke. Can't see him losing Koke to Barcelona and then settling for the guy Barcelona dumped to make room for him.

Koke is more of a wide midfielder than a central one though so I don't see Fabregas signing as a reason not to sign Koke

Fair enough, I had never seen him play centrally tbh and with Chelsea strength in the middle I doubt he would be bought for their. He is exceptional out wide with a great work ethic and I wouldn't be surprised to see JM sell Haz and bring in Koke who is much more a JM type of player.

Because Barcelona wants to sell the guy and before they agree any deal with another club, Arsenal can activate the buy back clause, so they have to know if Arsenal wants to do so.

If this is true, it's incredibly stupid from Arsenal - whoever it is that made the decision not to get Cesc back. It's one of the best players in the world, for a relatively cheap price. You always need that player. If it means you have to sell another player to get him in, then you sell that other player. It's not as if Arsenal had anybody better than Cesc.

No, that's exclusively a Spanish story.

I don't think it would too bad an idea for Bayern to cash in on Schweinsteiger as he hasn't looked on form for a while now, but there's nothing on this from Germany.

I wonder why he wouldn't fit in? Okay, I can see that IF Pep was keen to play Martinez on midfield, then obviously Thiago and Kroos/Götze would complete the midfield better than Schweinie and Müller, but as long as Martinez is in defence, then obviously Schweinie must be at the bottom of midfield.

Oh, I completely forgot that Martinez is not only player that Pep enjoys to give sub-standard performances in a non-preferred position - he also prefers world's best lateral defender as a mediocre holding midfielder. So yeah, as long as "the way Pep wants to play" means reducing great players into mediocrities by playing them out of position, Schweinie will only fit in if he's their new RB. Direct swap with Lahm.

Da-yum. I just can't find a way to play Vidal versus the Aussies. Too many tasty fixtures in the first round:

    Di Maria (B&H)
    Shaqiri (Equador)
    Valbuena (Honduras)
Ozil (Portugal, with their new-found porosity)

Anyone else finding the first round much, much better than the second for fixtures? Or is it just my warped judgement?

Roscola, regardless of what other tasty fixtures there are, the Australia match is the tastiest. Put your priorities in order. Chile-Australia can end 5-0. Don't overlook that match. Drop anybody else, but keep all your Chileans for the first round.

I would drop either Shaqiri or then Özil - watch him in friendlies before deciding, Portugal is tough, the whole group is tough, in fact, and Özil has been very out of form. I might drop him completely. Shaqiri is definitely in my list too, but you are way underrating Ecuador. It will not be an easy match. Not only are they a decent team, but it's also on South-American ground. It will be tough for the Swiss, and as Christina said, they are not a high scoring team. So, as there are tastier fixtures for other players for first round, why not benching Shaqiri for first round and playing him against France and Honduras when others have tougher games?

As soon as Miguel Veloso plays the 1st game against Germany and reveals his bad quality, Wiliam will come for the rest of the games and that porosity you speak of will vanish.. Him and Meireles will be a great defensive midfield that can construct the attack too, something Veloso can´t, so I´d say you´re maybe right but only for the first game.

Arsenal may also sign a defensive midfielder if right deal available, but not in market for another attacking midfielder #bbcsportsday #afc

Read quite an interesting article a while back on why so many Arsenal players are injury prone. Apparently its partly due to Wenger's training techniques. He doesn't encourage much gym work, weights or strength and conditioning instead encouraging players to play actual football as much as possible. Good for technique but perhaps makes them a little fragile compared to others.
