A new beginning. On the eve of a new campaign, two grumpy middle-aged has-beens gather in a studio to recall the summer’s feast of football and look ahead to another Fantasy season, full of hope.

There’s no frills. No live video cast. No special guests. Just Granville and I, stripped back and almost unplugged.

Don’t let that put you off, though. Even with our limited powers we at least attempt to cut through the issues currently rattling around in the minds of Fantasy managers.

We assess the Old Trafford revolution, the world without Suarez and the merits of the three-man strike force. We slice through the current transfer trends and weigh up matters such as the Sigurdsson/Bojan rotation, Fagregas vs Hazard and the Chelsea back four conundrum. We also manage to warm up with a nice little argument about the Alexis Sanchez bandwagon – the traditional pre-season barney.

      Debuchy probably.

      While I think United defence may do better early on, Jones is a constant injury threat. Lovren could be good if Liverpool showed any inking that the defence is able to keep cleanies, they haven't yet so I'd avoid.

    I have really only been following Liverpool in the preseason so I'm somewhat clueless. Please help!

    Sturridge - Costa - Bojan

    Trying to stay away from transfer from outside FPL. Only picked Costa because of the first two fixtures and the lack of a better option. Also, Green IS QPR's first choice, right?

    So, the two players I'm not 100% happy with, Mutch and Fletcher, I'm not happy with any of the slight upgrades either. The way I look at it I'd need 3m to replace Fletcher with a Dzeko or Giroud or 2.5m min to get Eriksen for Mutch.
    Very happy with the rest of my team, I like the balance.
