Its an idiotic move. Ramsey plays as an attacking mid, ADM is a deep playmaker in that team

he scored a fluke goal and had a fluke assist. looked explosive yes, but it was also QPR at home. he'll definitely in over time but I'm not sure he'll definitely be a good FPL asset. would like to wait a bit longer to assess

Sorry, lost on bottom of last page:

Really messed my team up during last couple of GWs:

    Bego (Gilks)
    Terry - Hutton - Duff - Chambers - Chester
    Fabregas - Sterling - Siggy - Ramsey
    Costa - Ade - Dzeko

Need to get rid of Dzeko asap, but need to keep an eye on total puzzle.
    Should I do:

    A) Dzeko -> Pelle/Welbz/Naismith
    B) Dzeko -> Pelle/Welbz/Naismith + Ramsey -> AdM
    C) Dzeko -> Rooney

no he didn't. it's called playing your odds, place it at the far post but you're aiming to have a teammate get a head on it. only reason it crept in is because Green can't afford to dive early in case a player does get a head on it.

I'm not making any transfers until Thursday, but as of now, I'm probably saving my FT (and still have WC):

            ...................Begovic
            .........Ivan - Clyne - Moreno
            Cesc - Sterling (c) - Ramsey - Siggy
            ....Naismith - Rooney (v) - Costa

rooney prob a keeper due to lei away.
Naismith, you think best to make a move at some pt for Pelle or Welbeck?

& aguero, adm, thinking need to get in. in my case for haz, erik

              krul
              cahill - jones - duff
              haz - rambo - eriksen - sigur

Welbeck for me yep..looked fine against City, just needs to work on his finishing (though that's always been the case)

but I'm keeping Naismith until Barkley is back/Arsenal's fixtures look better

heck, just realized might need to save a bit. Best to go for a 4.5 Def in either NTaylor or Wilson or even Pva/Chester? Ntaylor does have bonus and asist potential while Wilson is just the CS potential.

reason being that .7 dif w/ Clyne could come handy when i might want to upgrade Eriksen>sterling or Naismith>pelle/welbeck or roon>aguero,

No one said it was or that it had to be. It still counts the same though.

              Fact is he meant it.
And the guy is on set pieces.
And he racked up the assists for Real Madrid.
And he looked dynamite today, desereved MOTM.
And he's going to bandwagon hard.

              What's not to love?

Everything is to love. Just would like to see him do it one or two more times against a legitimate opponent first.

I'm a United supporter by the way, just being objective.

And Blind deserved MotM hands down, no question at all.

Yeah, he'll definitely get some points, but I dunno if there's enough goal threat for him to displace Siggy/Ramsey/Sterling/Cesc, as well as players like Sanchez, Walcott, and Hazard

those 4 are my midfield, but i'm going to get him in for Mutch i think, just for the bandwagon he's about to go on now, and go back to my original idea of playing 3-5-2 like i was going to at the start of the season.

Lok at me, like Van Gaal... with my faith in the 3-5-2 system.

When Tottenham beat QPR 4-0 at home, we thought they were the real deal. They then lost 3-0 vs Liverpool and drew at Sunderland. #MUFC

What do you guys make of this WC team?

    Forster, McCarthy

    Janmaat, Taylor, PVA, Wisdom, Duff

Di Maria, Sterling, Ramsey, Siggy, Boyd

    Costa, Pelle, Aguero

Fabregas is epic, as are his creative stats. BUT he doesn't have enough goal threat for me. His goal threat stats are well below Silva's from last season too, so I'd pick the likes of Tadic & Mirallas over him if FPL only gave points for goals.

I'm on top of FISO to try and increase TV, if I somehow manage to make £0.5 m this week then I will be keeping Clyne instead of Taylor.

you're complaining about goal threat of the most consistent midfielder in the game but Di Maria in?

I know it's a bit contradictory, but I think Di Maria has a stronger goal threat at United than Fabregas will at Chelsea. United don't have players like Ivanovic & Schurrle to hog all the shots, so Di Maria will inevitably have some goal threat of his own. Fabregas has been amazing but his assists have been all him selflessly working as the assist engine for the team rather than trying to score.

Very possible, BUT we've seen Fabregas perform week in and out whereas the only sample in the Di Maria column is a complete fluke (FPL terms).

Fixtures also have a say in it though (forgot to mention earlier). Chelsea will face City, United, Arsenal & Liverpool in the next 7 games.

We knew Fabregas was class before he kicked a ball for Chelsea so it's no surprise he's performing really well. We also - well most of us - know that Di Maria is one of the very best footballers playing right now, it'd actually be a shock if he didn't perform to at least a £9 m price. Di Maria isn't some speculative punt like Tadic (who I really like too), he's a few classes above that.

Let me be clear, I'm not ruling out Di Maria in the slightest haha..I'm just saying that there's little merit in picking him over Fabregas. I'd argue that Ramsey is worth dropping once Walcott is back

Fair enough mate! I think Walcott could be a better option than Di Maria AND Fabregas if he comes back as good as he was before his injury. The guy is a fantastic and consistent goal threat.

All that matters is points. Last season Gerrard offered very little threat from open play, but set pieces gave him a glut most weeks.

If fab gets an assist 80% of weeks, the price is fair for me.

      1. Brutus619
        • 12 Years
        9 years, 7 months ago

I'm set in my ways. Yaya & Gerrard were set piece beasts and I didn't buy them because I just don't trust players who really bring the value for their price via open play. I didn't think those 2 would carry on scoring like they did and was wrong, and I'll accept being wrong if Fab does assist almost every single game.

I think Di Maria also has the potential of assisting most weeks, but with a stronger goal threat and much better fixtures.

This is a WC team. I made the epic mistake of selling Fab for De Jong 2 weeks ago so trust me when I say I know how much not having Fabregas can hurt.

Ahh ok. Nah I'd be buying him at £9.3 m. I would keep if I already kept him from the start of the season.

Want to hear a funny story?

I had Hazard, Fab & Costa for first 2 weeks of season (easy fixtures). It got me my best ever rank.

I then sold those 3 for a hit, and brought in RVP, Ramsey & De Jong (tripling on United attack in the process).

Chelsea ripped apart Everton & Swansea, whilst United failed to score against Burnley & captain RVP got 2 blanks in a row (including today).

I am now on a sub 1 million rank 🙁

Wait and see unless you feel you need to do it now. I have Rooney but would prefer Falcao as I expect he will play the same mins as Rooney but always upfront whereas Rooney will go deep occasionally.

Roo less expensive, Captain so guarantied to start, and he should play up top or in the hole most games.

      Rooney.

      Consistent scorer.
You need only 0.6m to upgrade to Falcao if need be.
LvG may give RVP one more chance and Falcao may be on the bench

      • 12 Years

Rooney will play 90 mins every game and is cheaper.

Falcao is considered the better striker but still new to the PL and obviously costs more.

Either way I think both should get points.

It all depends on who is dropped to the bench - if it's mata - go falcao.
If it's Rvp, Rooney plays upfront and likely on penalties - go Rooney.
Unless, falcao is on penalties and then he never leaves my team till gw38.

Not sure bat definitive, but Rooney looks safer to me because (1) he's captain, and so should be more likely to get more minutes, (2) falcao' coming off the back of a horrific injury that does tend to re occur in a fair percentage of cases.
