The Weekend Team News

Seamus Coleman is expected to shrug off a knock as Everton entertain Palace. Ron Vlaar remains doubtful as Villa prepare for the visit of Arsenal. Danny Ings is ruled out of Burnley’s home clash with Sunderland, Jon Walters and Marko Arnautovic are doubts as Stoke travel to QPR, while Martin Skrtel is back as Liverpool roll up to West Ham.

Seamus Coleman was forced off with a knock in Everton’s win over Wolfsburg last night but Roberto Martinez is confident the right-back will recover in time for Sunday’s visit of Palace.

Callum Chambers has recovered from the illness that forced him out of the XI to face Dortmund, Arsene Wenger has confirmed. Mathieu Flamini is also available, whilst Jack Wilshere “is okay” after picking up an ankle problem during the 2-0 defeat. The Gunners boss has also revealed Mathieu Debuchy will be out for a minimum of six weeks with an ankle injury, though could be sidelined for three months if he requires surgery.

Jon Walters (calf) and Marko Arnautovic (foot) are both concerns for Stoke’s trip to QPR, Mark Hughes has confirmed. The former has only just returned to training after picking up a knock, though Stephen Ireland is pushing for a recall after recovering from a rib problem.

Harry Redknapp has revealed QPR have “a few knocks” ahead of the home clash against Stoke. Joey Barton (hamstring) and Jordon Mutch (knock) will continue to be assessed, though Adel Taarabt is ruled out with an ankle injury.

Ronald Koeman has revealed new signing Sadio Mane has finally received a work permit and will arrive in Southampton tomorrow, though is unlikely to be ready in time to face QPR. Shane Long has recovered from the knock that forced him off against Newcastle last weekend.

Danny Ings has been ruled out of Burnley’s home clash with sunderland this weekend, with manager Sean Dyche refusing to put a timescale on his return. Matty Taylor is unavailable for the second successive Gameweeks and joins long-term absentee Sam Vokes on the sidelines.

Villa skipper Ron Vlaar remains a major doubt for the visit of Arsenal due to a calf complaint. Christian Benteke has returned to light training but is believed to be weeks away from a return to first-team action as Paul Lambert looks to protect his star striker. Joe Cole is also back in training, though is “a little bit behind on fitness levels”, according to his manager.

Kasper Schmeichel is expected to recover from the minor knee problem that saw him miss last weekend’s trip to Stoke, while Matty James is also in contention after recovering from injury to feature for the Under-21s on Monday.

Martin Skrtel is back for Liverpool’s trip to West Ham, though Joe Allen is out “for a few weeks”, according to Brendan Rodgers. The Reds boss expects Daniel Sturridge to return to training next week, though young Jon Flanagan is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed he has the same squad that travelled to Hull on Monday, an indication that Joey O’Brien will miss out again as the Hammers play host to Liverpool.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

    Guys? Terry -> Baines (-4)

I'm planning on shipping Terry, and with Mci away and weak fixtures the upcoming weeks, now could be a good spot. I've already used F to get Debuchy out.

Baines face CRY (H) this GW so great value there and is also a long term investment for me. Should I really wait for week 8 for this transfer?

wait, everton hv tough fixtures ahead & so do chelsea..i suggest Duff (Burnley) or Bertrand for coming few weeks!

If no transfer I consider playing Ivanovic, Terry, Duff (PVA, Lovren) this GW. I remember Mou playing extremely defensive away against City last year. That game ended 0-1...

    Folks, struggling with who to bench... somehow I've got to thinking Hazard;

    Hazard (MCI A), Fab (MCI A), Sterling (WHU A), Siggy (SOU H), Ramsey (AVL A);

Pelle (SWA A), Roon (LEI A), Nais (CRY H)

Have one FT which could be an option to get Chadli in.

    Some help please?

I cannot understand why people would put the likes of Fabregas, and Hazard on the bench.

Surely they are premium midfield players you choose for a reason.

I'm sure there will be more goals between Man City and Chelsea, than QPR and Stoke this weekend.

Those two in particular are not gaurenteed points this week (insofar as anyone is).

This could be a good week for the mid-priced option with favourable fixtures.

No one player is ever guaranteed points.

Players from the top teams - especially the title favourites, should never worry about having a bad fixture. They are always more than capable of scoring, or keeping a clean sheet.

      Have Siggy & Costa

    Repost

    My team:
    Krul (Myhill)
Taylor - Pieters - Clyne (Chester, Kelly)
    Ramsey - Tadic - ADM - Siggy - Hazard
    Rooney - Costa (Kane)

Have 1 free transfer, but really wanna get rid of Kane and either Chester or Kelly

    The options ive been thinking
    1. Sack Hazard for sterling and ulloa or wickham
    2. Swap Kane for Jutkiewicz, and Kelly/Chester for PvA
    3. (the most boring one) Kane for Jutkiewicz

    Thoughts?

like the second one too, but the FWD line is too cheap IMO. Gives you no option to get in a second premium striker as you will probably need at some point!

In the 5, I have Lamela, I can bench him and play Welbeck instead so

Sigurdsson, Fábregas, Di María, Sterling, Lamela

IMO you should play 3-5-2 and don't bench Lamela. He didnt start yesterday in Europa League, only went in in 2nd half and should perform vs WBA. Also, he played well vs Sunderland. I also have him and definately won't bench him

Thanks everyone, different but good advice.

Fixture wise it goes: Colo, Taylor, Bertrand, Terry but the latter two have more attacking potential.

Seems bonkers to be picking a defender away at City but I think that's the only option given Mourinho's attitude in these games.

For me it's Taylor. Swans-Saints dont seem like a fixture where any of teams will keep clean sheet.. Also, Bertrand is more likely to get some offensive points than Naylor. I personally bench Williams for this match.

I'm going to swap Ramsey with Mirallas this week, and I'm considering taking a hit to remove Janmaat from my team. Who should i get for him, and is it worth taking a hit? I was thinking about a cheaper defender like Duff or Chambers.

    Having a major dilemma here!!
    Should I:

    A) Play wildcard to make this

    Bego Krul

    Naylor Alderwield Wilson Coloccini Lovren

Fab Sterlo Ramsey Di Maria Siggy

    Costa Welbeck Bojan

    or

    B) Stick fat with the current

    Bego Krul

    Yoshida Ferdinand Debuchy Coloccini Lovren

    Hazard Sterlo Ramsey Davis Siggy

    Costa Falcao Bojan

So basically if I play wildcard its:

Out: Yoshida, Ferdinand, Debuchy, Hazard, Davis, Falcao
In: Alderwield, Wilson, Naylor, Fabregas, Di Maria, Welbeck

You really like Bojan, don't you? Kepp this team for now, you're too late for wildcarding imo, I've activated mine on Saturday and made some money during the week already.
