Every little point counts. With the mini-league gap between myself and co-host Granville widening by the week, my Mancunian friend can ill-afford to throw points aside in his bid to follow up last season’s victorious campaign.

In and around the usual ScoutCast regulars, Granville recalls the dilemma that saw him get away with benching Cesc Fabregas to the tune of just a single point. Will that prove costly?

We then join forces to run the rule over the accelerating Di Maria bandwagon, assess Rooney’s re-positioning and decide whether those steering away from Ramsey Street need to re-programme their sat navs.

    The 5 most owned mids, Fabregas, Sterling, Siggy, Ramsey, Di Maria
    and the most owned goalie Krul.

    So... THE ALTERNATIVE COSTA THEORY

    He is rested because Chelsea have a must win game on Tuesday and then a big match v Arsenal on Sunday. Jose needs him for Tuesday, but cannot play him Sat, Tues, Sun and because Tuesday is now so important he cannot play him Sat-Sun either. Therefore he will bench him Sat, play him from the start on Tuesday and then again on Sunday (as pretty big recovery time still)

    So if you make him captain... woe betide you

    (Citation this is just an elaborate ruse to stop other people from making him captain)

    Defense needs some work, Dier needs to go fast I think, not sure for who though, possibly stoke defense? As usual your collective wisdom is greatfully received!!

      Naismith above Siggy personally, but front 8 is solid. Defence is a bit of a car crash but if burnley keep keeping clean sheets who knows. I'd try and save two transfers and do Dier/Moore for like PVA/Taylor or something like that.

    5 games in and we still dunno for sure who is on penalties for chelsea.. logic says Hazard but there's always that fear that Costa could be on em.. so my question is.. if Hazard takes a pen this weekend who would you get between hazard and Fabregas if you dont own either?
    Could be a similar situation like it was between tadic and pelle.. we were not sure who took penos but now that we know it's tadic who would you prefer between the two?

      I have fab and costa and am currently trying to pick between Tadic and Pelle. Currently on Pelle. Stats are slightly better.

      I don't think it's as interesting a development as you're making out tbh. Most thought Hazard would be on pens pre-season, and there's been nothing to change that. Same with Tadic, so don't think it's the swing of having pens that will help people decide. More about how Hazard and Tadic are doing when the pens aren't coming, as they can't just rely on that for points.

    I've just noticed when I copy the Scoutcast into iTunes, the genre comes up as Blues.

    Was expecting this weeks one to be presented by Howlin' Mark and Blind Lemon Granville giving their rendition of "Nobody knows you when you're miffed".

        I put it down to the team, we all worked hard and fortunately the breaks fell my way.

        I'm very happy with the result, and to have picked up a good score individually was just the icing on the top

      I think he'll finish the season in double figures comfortably. He's a brilliant player and very direct.

      He's only just gone into that team, i think he and the side will both improve as the season goes on.
