    Hi guys,

    Current team is:

    Krul (tot)
    Ivanovic (mun), Baines (bur), Clyne (STK)
    Silva (whm), Sterling (HUL), Fabregas (mun), Siggy (LEI)
    Costa (mun), Welbeck (sun), Pelle (STK)

    bench: Bego (sou), Moore (swa), Cattermole (ARS), Hutton (qpr)

    -Thinking about keeping FT this week cuz I don't see a lot of possibilities of improving without a hit.
    Next week, probably Siggy out.

    -Contemplating the Aguero move, but I don't think it's wise to drop Costa, Welbeck or Pelle AND messing up my team. He's not Suarez yet...

      Haha suarez has a consecutive games of explosion last year..leaving all his non owners behind. looks lyk u need kun to do that to convince u. I would say try to get him in asap.

        Well, I don't need convincing. I'm just not ready yet 😀 Who would you drop is the question?
        Costa has Man U, QPR and Liverpool who are all very bad at defending.
        Pelle & Welbeck are amazing bargains. Their price is just too good.

          Haha u are probably right abt pelle n welbeck. I have chosen kun instead of welbeck..but in ur situation its hard to get him out especially if he on fine form. But he is hardly explosive too and with costa a danger of being out its hard to have a reliable captain for the gw.

          Maybe siggy n pelle are ur best captains and hopefully they can match kun's output then.

            Siggy is on his way out so definitely not a (C) option. Pelle does look good.
            The captaining is one of my biggest worries. But this week I should be okay with Kun playing at Upton Park.

      I agree with saving it. If aguero looks amazing again this week, then perhaps Iva > cheaper and Welbeck > Aguero for free.

        In my opinion, Costa, Pelle & Welbeck all look good (except Costa when hes injured obviously), so I wouldn't take a hit and rush him in this week.

        I guess, you have some money in the bank then. Because for me, Iva -> cheapie doesn't give me Welbeck -> Kun. 🙂

      I would. I'd love to keep a free transfer. I've had an injured fifth midfielder since day one, even he can't get to the front of the queue.

      Incredibly similar to my team, i decided the same thing about Aguero.
      I have two free transfers and am probably doing Ivanovic to Coleman.

        So you're going Colemaines? I loved Coleman last season. But double up on Everton defence for 14 million is very risky! High risk, big reward I guess...

        Why do you want to get rid of Iva? He's not getting the points atm, but I don't know if he's still attacking like a dog with rabies and it's just a question of time... Have you seen the matches?

          I've only seen highlights and looked at the stats.
          I just think that in isolation Coleman has the potential for more points than Ivanovic over the next 6 games. I do like in a good double up in defence as well!

    Tadic:

    Before this game week he had Scored 0 goals and had 3 assists but shown potential,
    Before this game week he had an average score of 3.5ppg and 25 points from 7 games.
    He has 4 very tasty fixtures coming up In Stoke, Hull, Leicester, Villa, BUT then plays CITY ARSENAL UNITED EVERTON CHELSEA ARSENAL UNITED as 7 out of their next 9...

    So the question is, should we race to get him in if like most f us we already have Clyne/Bert and Pelle?

    Personally I'm considering ADM -> Tadic and Costa -> KUN... Then Welbz to Costa if he's back for QPR...
    Make sense or would you rather get rid of Hazard or Sterling?

      I think most people on here would only be getting him for the next 4. I have Bertrand and pelle and will be getting rid in four weeks, taking some of their profit with me. Looking at teams like Swansea whose fixtures take a turn for the better.

      Gotta play the fixtures now to continue the comeback that this week started! 🙂

    Help much needed after going bottom of my draft league.

    Got a team of:

    Bego, Krul
    Cahill, Merte, Clyne, Moreno, PvA
    Hazard, Ramsey, Cazorla, Milner, Larsson
    RVP, Sakho, Jelavic

    1FT 0.5ITB

    Over the coming weeks I need to change a keeper, probably get Moreno or PvA out, Larsson and Jelavic as he looks out for a while.

    Also have an option of trading RVP (who I'm sick of) for Adebayor which would free up a lot of funds and let me play the fixtures.

    My initial thought is wait for the Spurs lineup and do RVP > Adebayor if Ade is rested, or maybe punt on Kane for Jelavic if he's rested. Any advice much appreciated, I realise keepers are a pressing issue.

    I've just compared the Baseline BPS/min of defenders from the same team of teams that some of us are looking to invest in over the next few weeks.

    Kaboul : 141 BPS : - 3 CS (-36) = 105
    Rose : 145 BPS : -3 CS, 1A (-45) = 100
    Dier : 138 BPS : -2 CS, 2G (-48) = 90

    Tomkins : 105 BPS : -1 CS, 2A (-30) = 75
    Reid : 130 BPS : -1 CS, 1G (-24) = 106

    Chambers : 120 BPS : -2 CS (-24) = 96
    Mertesacker : 146 BPS : -1 A, 1 CS (-21) = 125

    Jagielka : 189 BPS : -2 G, 2 CS (-48) = 141
    Baines : 219 BPS : -1 G, 5 A, 2 CS (-81) = 138
    Coleman : 108 BPS : -2 G, 1 A, 2 CS (-57) = 51
    Alcaraz : 31 BPS : -1 CS (-12) = 19

    Dawson : 154 BPS : -1 G, 3 CS (-48) = 106
    Lescott : 68 BPS : -2C S (-24) = 44
    Wisdom : 133 BPS : -1 A, 3 CS (-45) = 88
    Pocognoli : 90 BPS : -2 CS (-24) = 66

    Baseline BPS/min:

    Dier = 0.148
    Kaboul = 0.146
    Rose = 0.144

    Reid = 0.147
    Tomkins = 0.139

    Mertesacker = 0.198
    Chambers = 0.183

    Alcaraz = 0.211
    Jagielka = 0.196
    Baines = 0.192
    Coleman = 0.139

    Dawson = 0.147
    Wisdom = 0.140
    Lescott = 0.122
    Pocognoli = 0.114

    Conclusion:
    - There's barely anything between the Spurs defenders in terms of baseline BPS/min.
    - Reid has a higher baseline BPS/min compared with Tomkins. He also carries a reasonable goal threat so could be one to consider.
    - Alcaraz has only played 1 game (and isn't nailed on) but he looks a real bargain judging by his first appearance. If he cements his place while Stones is injured he could be a BPS magnet. I'm aware this is a VERY small sample though. Coleman will struggle to get any bonus without attacking points.
    - Dawson > Lescott by a distance. Wisdom looks good for the odd bonus if he can cement his place over Gamboa.

    P.S - I'll go do this for Villa's defenders now.

      Hutton = 0.126
      Senderos = 0.122
      Vlaar = 0.114
      Cissokho = 0.083

      Interesting results. Villa defenders seem allergic to BPS. Only Vlaar and Baker (2 each) have received bonus points this season. Their tendency to not get bonus was shown in GW2 when they drew 0-0 with Newcastle, yet no Villa defenders got any bonus points.

      I have the same front line, it's incredibly difficult to get Aguero in for Welbeck without tearing the team apart. You really need Pelle for the next four and Costa plays a shaky Man U and then QPR.
      I decided to re-assess in two weeks time.

      At least we still scored well in the week just gone!

        Thanks man, but I didn't score too well at all this week. Feel like I'm one step behind every week this season!

        Think you're right, just need to take a step back and reassess after a couple of weeks. Hopefully price rises/falls are kind during this period.

          You got 82 points and your highest gameweek rank of the season at 106k.
          That's a good week, I'm really happy with my score and I got 79.

              There's 3 million players, there will always be people who do better than you on a given week. The key is consistent scores week in, week out.
              If you ranked 200k every week you'd walk into first place overall rank (I haven't checked this is true).

          Would be to get in Baines and have a cheeky punt at the same time...if I decide against Baines he stays.

          Costa---> Benteke(or Lukaku) , Moreno---> Baines and then maybe Sterling--->Sanchez.

          Really like all 3 moves.

              He's got a great fixture and has already had 2 great shots in the box despite playing out on the wing. Lambert will move him to a central position, he'll be deadly, and goals galore....or so I hope 😉

    Begovic > Howard sounds good? Everton with good fixtures till January.

    OR

    Should I save the extra £ so I can get Guzan, Baines & Tadic/Eriksen soon?

    The first option would give me Howard, Clyne & Sterling or do you prefer the second option (I've got no Everton players)?

    A) Improve defence with 2.5m. Clyne, Duff, Moore, Chambers and Hutton

    Or

    B) be punty and do ADM to Sanchez. Going against the grain is working for me this year

    1FT and 0.5 ITB

    Guzan (Krul)
    Clyne Bertrand Caulker (Dummett) (Wisdom)
    Siggy Fab Tadic Fab (Larsson)
    Costa Welbeck Aguero

    1) Costa to Berahino ?
    2) Upgrade Caulker
    3) Save as Costa will play 🙂
    4) Other ?

        Because there are no teams that I feel can defend well, so I'm looking for attacking minded defenders.

        Which teams do you think offer good defensive returns in the 5.3m and under bracket?

        1. Lucy.
          • 10 Years

          But United are probably one of the worse teams defensively. 5 vs Leicester...

            I agree completely, defensively shocking, but usually good going forward, so I'm thinking purely about attacking returns.

            Which team(s) do you think offer good chances of clean sheets this season.

            Keeping in mind I already have Clyne.

        I know United can't defend - but he at least looks good going forward, and no one is challenging for his place in the team.

        Any teams you feel offer good defensive returns for 5.3m and under?

        Jagielka form can't continue, I would like an Everton player, but if I get Coleman or Baines I can't afford Aguero, and he looks like essential status on here.

    Currently have Terry & Sterling. I had a monster week in my ML and have gone from mid table obscurity to top by about 25-30 points.

          Rodgers surely learned his lesson after leaving him out for Villa. Without Sturridge and Sterling, Liverpool have no pace and their game last season was built around it.

    c'mon already on this Costa stuff

    two million teams owned him (2,000,000) and at the first sign of an injury, some transferred him out

    consider how many "casuals" own him
