Versus – Fabregas, Oscar and Hazard, Last Six Gameweeks

Four points clear at the top of the table and eight ahead of defending champions City, Chelsea already look to have a substantial advantage in the title race. Next up for Jose Mourinho’s men is a run of matches which looks poised to bring plenty of Fantasy investment their way – West Brom, Sunderland, Spurs, Newcastle, Hull and Stoke in the upcoming six suggests the league leaders should strengthen their grip at the summit.

When the campaign got underway, it was a two-way battle between Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard for our affections, but in recent weeks, Oscar has also thrown his hat in the ring. The Brazilian has now started each of the last six, and having served up three goals, an assist and seven bonus points over that period, has joined Fabregas and Hazard in the top ten of the midfield standings in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. With this in mind, we take a look at the Blues trio’s displays between Gameweeks 6-11, allowing us to assess their current form ahead of such an enticing schedule.

I missed Costa rise yesterday and it kinda ruin my plan, although salvageable if Clyne rises by next week.

    Cesc Pelle -> Siggy Costa?

Any price movements on these players anytime soon?

Looking at Fab to Chadli and Pelle to Aguero (-4), once the International games are done and dusted. I have 0.2 spare, which will be down to 0.1 after tonight's Chadli rise. I may well not make it though with if the gung ho early transfers don't slow down soon. Chadli's stats stack up pretty well compared to Fab, who has the suspected injury and 4 bookings looming. Although I think Pelle will still do ok over the tough period, I need Costa asap and I can maybe get Pelle back for Welb soon enough.

Yes, don't get the logic with all these early transfers before the int games, but it's wishful thinking to hope that they will slow down enough. May have to hang on for another week. We'll see.

Something like 37% High like Sanchez's but not insanely high. Likely to go down alright, but then again most are suggesting his liklihood of assists should go up

Doesn't that just mean his good or at least in form?

I understand the perspective, but it also does seem odd to use a positive stat in a negative context, using that same logic all the players with terrible stats should come good so let's buy them?

      1. Think Tank

Chadli is a poacher, that's why his conversion rate is so high.

      2. Bartowski
        • 13 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

Yes but can he sustain that sort of conversion rate? Or has he had his purple patch like many a player will go through. I mean if he can sustain it he's essential but I haven't seen enough of Spurs play to know if he's actually any good.

        .5

Good lose Forster, Chambers and Chadli to Krul, Yun and Downing to fund the move but it'll take a few weeks and Costa could rise out of reach in that time.

Well you've got Baines, so I wouldn't get too hung-up on Coleman, even though I'm a big fan. I'd recommend Dummet as a replacement, to free up similar money.

                9 years, 6 months ago

Yeah, Dummet is the enabler I was looking at:

Coleman, Fab and Pelle to Dummet, Haz and Costa.

Gives me ADM, Sanchez and Haz in midfield, Aguero and Costa up top with Baines at the back. can't help shake the feeling that Coleman is a better pick than Costa.

Thanks for your input, appreciated 🙂

What's everybodies views about when to make transfers during the international break.

Go early and risk the injuries but catch the price rises?

Or hold off pay more but know you're not transfering and injured player?

Haha I'm firmly in the 'do your transfers early' camp.

I already did Fabregas+Welbeck >Sanchez + Austin. I think its a waste to lose money on players when the risk of injury is so small. How many players get injured really?

I also happen to have a selection dilemma in GW12. If worst comes to worst a -4 hit isn't the worst thing in the world.

With Baines, the fixtures don't matter. Every game he gets chances to get an assist & he's on penalties too. The CS's are an added bonus.

Tough one. They might be quite tricky at Villa park, but he could easily do Ok. I'm just a bit wary of a Costa hat-trick against West Brom.

Yeah true, especially with him being rested from int'l he could do well at home to West Brom.

I think I'll make the transfer now, the likelihood of him getting injured between now and then is little, and I don't have to worry about price rises as well!

Evening folks... Happier with my team now but wanting Costa back and I'm going to take a -4.... I think it's going to be

    Tadic to ?
    &
    Welbs/Pelle to Costa

If I go Pelle to Costa I have £6.2m to shell out on the Tadic replacement. If I drop Welbs I'll have £5.3m to spend.

    Any ideas for credible replacements?

    Thinking Downing maybe

Also considered wanyama and schneiderlin as cheaper Southampton mid options.... Ultimately it's about getting Costa back as for me my essentials are Baines, Sanchez, Kun & Costa

To be honest I've held on to Tadic for a while now because others needed to go more urgently such as Raheem. I'd like Chadli but funds won't allow.

Hazard seems to be a divisive player.

I see many saying he's great and when RMTs don't have him that he should be brought in. But many suggesting he should be transferred out when RMTs include Hazard.......

Personally I think he and Costa are going to score for fun over the next month or so.

Owning Costa over the Christmas period is going to be quite stressful imo. So prone to getting rested at any point but in the games he does play should score well. I don't know what to make of Hazard at the moment, he's playing well but not turning it into points.

        • 11 Years

    Sanchez Fab Tadic Siggy Jedinak
    KUN Pelle Welbeck

1ft and £1.4m in the bank

As I've posted earlier I need Costa back and my likely -4 hit is going to be
