This week’s ScoutCast is a throwback – a return to the days when Granville moaned about his team of red flags and names like Robin van Persie and Yaya Toure dominated our thinking.

Granville and I slip into such subject matter like it’s a pair of old slippers, whilst assessing the Aguero fall-out, the Dzeko option, Ivanovic versus “Dave” Azpi and how I’ve modelled my Fantasy Football management style on Roy Hodgson.

We roll out the regulars and lament the demise of the ScoutCast team – eliminated in the opening round of our own cup competition. Some things never change.

      Folks on here seem to think so. He stays on my bench though. More pressing matters to attend to than getting rid of one of the most consistent mids in the league.

        Yeah i think the sales are mostly because everyone has so many players out this week, and the likes of Hazard, Sanchez, Yaya showing themselves as worthy replacements. im not keen on selling him but i think the alternatives will be able to match or better him to January so it's not that bad apart from the loss in team value.

          If I had a crystal ball assuring me he's the striker of choice I'd defo agree with you ... actually if I had a crystal ball then I'd just use it to see which striker scores the highest on the weekend rather than asking people here ...

            Good point. I don't see why Silva is all of a sudden popular on here. Before he got injured everyone was saying he is a great player on the pitch but not a great FPL player. That is still my mindset.

                  I owned him for his MOTM performance vs Villa he was absolutely brilliant. Could've scored plenty.

    I see Baines seems to be back in favour despite Mirallas greatly restricting his movement forward and stealing his corners. Am I missing something as I sold him for Hutton last week (worked well)?

      I think it's just a matter of people not knowing what to do with their Aguero funds and them being blinded by the QPR game this weekend. I have him...but have other things more pressing than dealing with shifting him out. Also there are a lack of other clear premium defensive options in my view.

          Kompany on 4 yellows is a big no thank you from me at the moment..nevermind his fitness problems. I would certainly not bring Baines in at the moment, though. I would rather double on Chelsea defense than any of the alternative options in the premium bracket.

                It will, at that point, be for only a matter of a couple weeks. I am a massive fan of getting a rotating pair on the January WC as it increases the likelihood of you having one from a team on a DGW.

      I would certainly not transfer Austin out right now. Has to be a better way to use that second free. I'd probably consider upgrading a defender and just playing an extra defender for this weekend than lose Austin.

        Wanting a City forwards definitely means he's up there to pick from but among the two (and Jovetic), I would love Jovetic after seeing what he's done this season and how he's been quite effective even in games he didn't score.

    A) Keep Fab..Play Boyd..Chambers out for Cresswell for free
    B) Fab out for Yaya...keep Chambers..forced to play Yun for free
    C) Fab out for Yaya...Chambers out for Terry -4

        More to gain by getting Yaya in you reckon? I guess Chambers may well get his share of games with Kos still messed up...but I am just concerned at that prospect.

        Don't fancy the way it would look, Davies. Had considered it...could get Ramsey in..but I really want to shift Kane out next week for Austin so I need some funds left over for that and I do not want Siggy in to double with Bony.

            I think it's a bigger risk to go without. Those fixtures are golden and on PKs and FKs.

      I actually like A right now, seems like the "can't go wrong". Wouldn't be fiddling with my team too much for YYT. Could be headache waiting to happen & feel Fab will keep delivering on a consistent basis for you.

      You'll be finding a way to get Chambers out soon in any case. I feel getting him out might be a priority sooner or later with Debuchy & co coming in.

    ok finally done aguero + chambers to azpi + dzeko. have funds to upgrade boyd to someone like Silva next week and a front 8 to rotate from next week ( austin / siggy )
