This week’s ScoutCast is a throwback – a return to the days when Granville moaned about his team of red flags and names like Robin van Persie and Yaya Toure dominated our thinking.

Granville and I slip into such subject matter like it’s a pair of old slippers, whilst assessing the Aguero fall-out, the Dzeko option, Ivanovic versus “Dave” Azpi and how I’ve modelled my Fantasy Football management style on Roy Hodgson.

We roll out the regulars and lament the demise of the ScoutCast team – eliminated in the opening round of our own cup competition. Some things never change.

          But! There will still be rotation worry if they go one striker and there will also be worry over minutes. Although, I would definitely rather own Jovetic than Dzeko all things being equal.

        comes with the territory. None of them play with the same attack quality.

        Dzeko could get a goal off the bench too mind, he's been there and done that. Not the prettiest to watch, but he gets the job done more often than not.

            Yup, that's a valid tactic too. Have both myself. With the Kun injury and variety of striker options, there will be plenty of bandwagon hopping over the next few weeks.

      depends on pellegrini tactics..i think dzeko is more suited to a lone forward, while jovetic play behind the striker

      they'll likely leave after the New Year's Day matches (GW20 being their last week)

      someone noted that Yaya requested last year to stay on to play a FA Cup match after the New Year's match and had request denied

                  Not sure what stats you use, but theyre wrong.
                  1-1 v Basel, 0-0 v Sunlun, 1-3 v Leicester, 1-0 v Stoke, 2-2 v Leicester
                  4 goals in last 5, 3 in last 4 in PL. (and before this, 3-1 v Palace!)

                  Also, Sunderland werent even trying to get a goal, and Stoke were just unlucky not to score. Basel outplayed them before their 1-0 goal, and Leicester could easily have had more. Their defending on set pieces with Mignolet's work in the area is also a great worry.

          If I were to wc now I would sell Clyne i think. Though fixtures ahead, and you could buy back again in the january WC. Also the december rotation is hard to predict, espescially for the big teams.
