FFS Paddy Power Cup XI and Members Cup V – Fourth Round Draw

This evening, we roll out the fourth round draws of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as the fifth Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup.

John Terry’s Dog proved that rank is no barrier to success after trouncing 407th placed Mjfdept in the FFS Paddy Power Cup XI to book a place in round four. Our plucky underdog, who is ranked 48,093rd faces another tough tie, though, when he takes on 1,494th placed Morley.

The FFS Paddy Power Cup’s only remaining former champion Jonty (that’s me) eased past Pekka and takes on wagwan in round four.

Mark was another notable round three victor and faces Rook in the next round. Other eye-catching round four ties include Ryan’s clash with Horlicks and Paul’s match with fuml_akimbo.

The FFS Paddy Power Cup XI’s highest ranked manager is sixth placed BegTets, who faces Mndgms (81,398 overall) in round four.

Meanwhile, in the fifth Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup John Terry’s Dog has beaten the odds again after powering past 69th placed Anonymous to book a round four tie with 3,174th ranked TMIDrew.

Other ties in round four include Tommytour’s match with Billy Ketsu and Tuttifrutti’s clash with Shipstontrev.

With an overall rank of 41 Everybody knows badgers love mashpotato is the Members Cup’s highest placed manager. He faces Lovzat, who has an overall rank of 14,835, in round four.

The full draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI can be found here, while the draw for the Members Scout V can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

    Pantilimon Forster
    Terry Kompany Fonte Bellerin Dawson
    Hazard Eriksen Silva Mane Boyd
    Kane Agüero Austin

2 free transfers, 2,5 in the bank, wildcard still there.

Quite confused what to do at the minute but how about this for a plan?

GW 32: Austin out for Giroud
GW 33: Forster out for Schmeichel/Myhill and Giroud out for Lukaku if fit. If not then Cisse or Murray maybe.
    GW 34: Wildcard

    Any modifications you'd suggest?

looks like a decent plan. How about:
Austin -> Gomis, then Bellerin -> Baines next week?

Question - for JK in particular.
Looking at full-house option, is there a Hull player you'd pick ahead of Silva Or Sanchez for gw34 (excluding N'Dyoye)

      No

Have you looked at Hull's midfield?

I'm getting Cambiasso, I've already hit the bottom of the barrel. A Hull mid would be throwing the barrel away and digging under the floorboards

Elmo, Livermore maybe - not for me, just wondering.

If Brady picks up any form over the next couple of weeks he might be worth considering but as a budget option - not ahead of Silva or Sanchez

So difficult to make the trade Bellerin -> Schlupp only to bench Schlupp after a GW where I lost a 60 point lead in all my MLs.. got to have faith in my team I suppose

That makes no sense.. unless you WC before GW34, in which case you will be in a very similar position to those who don't have WC but are doing DGW-transfers already.

if you have a wc to use in GW34, why would you worry about DGW transfers? Get players for the individual GWs in 32 and 33.

I am. Only got two Chelsea, and no WC, so every transfer counts. Moreno in this week as I can bench in GW33. Final Chelsea player in next week, then two Liverpool attackers in GW34.

How confident are you on Moreno keeping his place now though? Been pretty shocking lately imo. Plan seems good on paper though, hoping to have 3 Pool and 3 Chelsea myself

Was going to get Sakho, then he got injured. Skrtel would be ideal, but for the suspension... So its basically a calculated risk. I think a potential switch to a back four also reduces the risk he is dropped.

Im a bit lost as well, im kind of holding on Austin and ignoring Remy (got Hazard and Ivan for the double) until getting Giroud in GW35, as he has some ok fixtures and is garunteed to play.

If i didnt have to ship out Naughton then i would actually transfer Austin out for Murray/Gomis as both have nice fixtures. I just dont trust Remy will play more than 90mins in both games

Sorry i misread your opinion on Murray/Gomis, Sturridge is a bit iffy, i dont find Liverpool's attack all that enticing, im a little annoyed that i have to get in 2 of their mids lol.

Sakho is a decent option and has good fixtures, but aside from those 4 i really cant see an option.

Looking forward to the DGW34, which would be the better pair...

    A) Schmeichel (Chelsea & Burnley) + Ivanovic (Leicester & Arsenal)

    OR

    B) Mignolet (West Brom & Hull) + Cahill (Liv & Crystal Palace)

    Thoughts?

For those who COMPULSORILY need to do a GK transfer to cover GW33 blank, is the best option to get Courtois? That's the only way you end up doing a DGW transfer every week.

With no clarity on chelsea forwards, is double defence the way to go?

Bellerin to be rotated out again this week vs weaker oppo in Burnley ?
Dont want another cameo, so Rose or Bellers ?
Have Benteke playing vs Rose, if that makes any odds..

Bellerin was only rotated around CL fixtures if I remember correctly, so I'd hope Bellerin starts this weekend.

Best move... 2 frees. £0.0 ITB

    Pants (Krul)
    Clyne Terry Toby (Dawson Wolly)
    Haz Alexis Eriksen Silva (Cork)
    Kun Kane Austin

    a) Krul ➡ Schmeichel

    b) Austin ➡ Murray

    c) Erik & Austin ➡ Hendo & Remy

    d) Another move?

Leaning towards a before the Pool DGW. Would prefer Remy over anyone so really tempted by c but means losing Erik before Villa

Remy is such a coinflip, his gametime purely depends on what mood Mourinho is on. I'm avoiding Remy personally, unless Costa is confirmed out.

Cant decide to be honest. I'm currently GK-less for GW33.

The smart choice is getting Southamptons GK Davis due to his better fixtures, and then getting Fabregas (maybe Terry even?) as my third chelsea player.

But if I was to transfer in only DGW players every week, then I'd be forced to get Courtois or Schmeichel. And I dont trust Schmeichel.

    My current team (2 FTs):

    DDG Myhill
    Hutton Dawson Terry Jenkinson Wasi
    Ozil Eriksen Hazard Silva Boyd
    Kun Kane Giroud

I'm thinking of DDG to Migs and Ozil to Fabregas this week, Myhill can play GW33. Then probably get Sturridge for Aguero and Cout/Sterling for Eriksen. 6DGWers for only a -4, what do you lot think?
