I'd pass on Lescott to Schlupp for a hit.
Not really fond of Schlupp myself because I doubt he'll keep a CS during the double but it does get rid of Lescott (who has poor fixtures) and gives me enough money to get Giroud next week. I can get Ivan and Sterling in by themselves but it'll be harder to upgrade Murray.
So keep Murray 🙂 He's unbelievable value right now.
Chelsea (A)
Utd (H)
Liverpool (A)
Giroud's fixtures become good and the double approaches where he'll surely play both games.Fair.
Unbelievably bad value, right?
lol you got me Ruth! That's what I meant. He's been getting no points and he's one of the most expensive forwards in the game.
He's a big lump that's a Championship level player at best. Played most of his long career in League one. Limited talent.
When Palace play very well he can get on the end of things but in the last 5 games he has had 3 shots on target and 3 goals. That's a crazy aberration and it won't continue (as I said last week).
Unless Palace are dominating he has virtually nothing to offer and after GW34 their fixtures are as tough as hell. Seems like unbelievably bad value to me and I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.Could of easily scored today if he actually got his head on the ball! Still, at 5.3M you can't expect high returns. Kane is one of the exceptions.
Kind of my point really. Why waste a valuable forward slot on a player like that?
You're right, as I said he's been blanking every game since given a starting berth by Pardew. Palace haven't even been that much of an attacking side lately, either.
Not to mention how expensive he is. Horrible value.
Alrighty then. 😀
lmao Ruth talking his usual shite
He obviously thinks Rooney is better value 😉
I mean who doesn't?!?! You'd have to be mad to think anything otherwise. Rooney even gets to play defensive midfield sometimes, best thing ever for a FPL forward, and he's only 10.9!!!!!! Look at all his double digit hauls in the last month or so. Points galore there.
Time to log out I think. The zombies have arrived.
Good idea.
If this is all it takes for you to cry and log off I will try this sarcasm route with you more often. Cheers, Ruth.
I wan't referring to you mate. 😉
he's a natural goalscorer. you're confusing how much you like/dislike watching a player with how good he is for fpl.
the lad scored over 30 in his last championship season before the injury. player of the season I think. to say he is bad value is nonsenseAlrighty then. 😀
Who to get ?
A- Henderson
B- Sterling
C- Both & Bench one of Silva or KaneTwo Liverpool attackers against West Brom and Hull (who will definitely park the bus) might not be of interest. I think Sterling is enough.
I'm going with: Fabregas, Hazard, Sterling, Skrtel, Ivanovic and perhaps Schlupp. If Kane blanks tomorrow, I'd do C and bench Kane. Spurs don't seem to care anymore.
5 man midfield for next week.
Hazard, Silva, Cambiasso, Henderson, Sterling (c)Wrong captain, but looks good.
Depends on individual league situations. If I were chasing then Sterling would be a good option for the armband I reckon
Seems a surefire way to widen a gap and not shorten, to me.
Hazard (C) the obvious pick of all players that week?
I think so.
It would be throwing caution to the wind but is it inconceivable that Sterling could outscore Hazard? I don't think so
My armband will be firmly on Hazard but if a rival or two takes the risk then fair play to them they come off sometimesI have to agree here. Sometimes risks need to be taken and people are running out of time to take those risks. Sterling is a good option if he is part of a front 3.
Okay.
Isn't Cambiasso a DM?
Think the big 4 will be the same as mine but Haz captain
3 Leicester, 3 Chelsea, 3 Liverpool + 2 City starting next week- Overkill?
Schmeichel (Ospina)
Ivan, Terry, Moreno ( Clyne, Jenkinson)
Cambiasso, Hendo, Sterling (c), Hazard, Silva
Kramaric, Aguero ( Kane)
0.8m, WC Active.
Any suggested changes..
Needed Murray to go up tonight. Was supposed to be on FPL stats but now that he hasn't do you think his NTI will be positive or negative for the coming days?
He didn't rise? Bugger. Hopefully he doesn't go down this week.
Nope, squeezed the 0.1 out of Bolasie but the precious 0.1 from Murray proving more elusive!
Will be sold in droves now. Hard luck
If he goes down my "plan" fails and I have to get Terry over Ivanovic. 🙁
Fine margins.Terry is probably as good an option.
He will play every game till the end of season unless injured and is always capable of a goal.
There is a fair chance Ivan may be rested for a game once the title is wrapped up.I fail to understand why Mourinho wouldn't consider starting Zouma and Cahill together at CM. Surely thats the future pairing.
*CB
I don't think you understand (a) the regard that JT is held in at Chelsea and by Mourinho, (b) that he is Chelsea's captain and won't be dropped unless injured, (c) that he has just signed an extended contract, (d) that the pairing for next season will be JT +1 and (e) the long-term future in Mourinho's mind is probably Zouma + Varane.
Zouma is getting eased in and educated this season. If he plays centre back in a PL game it will almost certainly be alongside JT unless he is injured.Fair enough. Just figured if the league was won with a win over Arsenal Mourinho might be keen to experiment.
Yeah, it could happen. But I'd be totally amazed if it did.
Is this move worth -8
Pants >> Migs
Bertrand >> Moreno
Eriksen >> Hendersen
Or this for -4
Bertrand >> Skrtel
Eriksen >> HendersenOther DGW players
Ivan Terry
Hazard
VardyI prefer the second option.
Hows this
Panty
Ivan terry skrtel
Hazard sterling sanchez silva
Sturridge giroud kane
Subs krul mahrez duff haidaraBold not having Aguero. He's due an injury soon though.
Overall, a good team! You're set for the DGW this week and in 37.
Expect some green arrows.Looks a strong team provided Sturridge comes to the party.
Good
Current squad:
Krul
Terry - Vert - Toby
Sanchez - Haz - Silva - Eriksen - Mane
Aguero - Vardy
Panti; Kane, Dawson, PvA
0.6ITB + 1FT
Plan to do Vert + Erik + Mane > Skrtel + Sterling + Hendo for a 8 pt hit. Anything I should reconsider? Only problem is I'll only have 2 Chelsea but they're not scorig much lately anyways.I don't like taking a -8 but you don't have much choice if you want more DGWers. It will probably provide instant rewards so I'd say go for it.
Yeah it also gives me the chance to get rid of my three main weak links. For that I'm happy to take an 8 pointer 😀
Yep, I can't wait to get rid of Eriksen myself!
Vertonghen is the one for me. What a failure he has been! 🙁
Getting a Spurs defender is always asking for trouble 🙂
OMG haha one of my MLS defenders got a -4.
1 pt - 33 minutes played
-3 pts red card
-1 pt Goal conceded 3
-1 pt defending "bonus"Curently have Hazard and Ivanovic. Any reason not to go for azpilicueta as third Chelsea?
Felipe Luis is a reason I gueaa
I like it, Guah. Only thing I would be worried about is if they clinch the league in the next couple of games that FLuis gets a game or two at the tail end of the season with nothing to play for. But that could be said about anyone in their back line I guess. I can't see FLuis getting a game over Azpil with them out of all other competitions. I think he's a strong pick right now.
When Chelsea are confirmed champions anyone removing Hazard? Quite a few bit part Chelsea players likely to be given a chance and could get a jump on rivals in the last couple of weeks if JM let's him enjoy the last few from the sidelines
Let's say Arsenal beat Chelsea. Could easily happen. Chelsea will then need 3 more wins from 5 games. That takes it to GW 36 at the earliest and a draw with Liverpool would take it to GW37.
GW38 is at home v Sunderland when Mourinho will probably field his 1st XI for the last game of the season, hopefully prior to the trophy presentation. If Chelsea have wrapped things up by then they could run riot.
And the moral of this story is that removing Hazard is unlikely to be a good idea. 😉
Anyone else planning transfers for dgw34 with one eye on dgw37. ?
I have an exit strategy to get in 3 arsenal players and defoe for a hit.Already have Sanchez Giroud and will pick up Kosc
wont you sell one of them for dgw players. ive sold sanchez for fab and kept giroud.
No ... See my below post
Currebtly feilding 7 dgw34 players and 6 dgw37 players(already have panti pva)
Foolish not to be planning. Arsenals games mean it's a necessity to know how your getting those players in as soon as you want them
Yeap. one reason i got fab was that it will be easy to swap for an arsenal mid. With ivan too much money will be stuck up in defence requiring more hits
Feel like rolling the dice ...
Davis (Krul)
Terry Bertrand Jagielka (PVA Duff)
Haz Sanchez Fab Eriksen (Walters)
Giroud Kane Kun
Assuming no Pool injuries ...
A) Eriksen > Sterling
B) Bertrand > Skrtel
C) Walters > Cambiasso
D) A and B for a -4
E) A/B/C for a -8
Suggestions? I'm seriously considering D or E.
cheersD
D- walters have sunderland at home. could outscore cambiasso in one game
Thanks guys
D, IMO
Let's say Chelsea wrap the title up...it would be reasonable for Mourinho to give Courtois/Ivanovic/Terry a break, right?
Yes, but that would be after the DGW, I think
He could give them all a break, got to be careful with Chelsea assets after the double
I think a few are safe like Hazard.
JT will play every game if fit. The others could be rested. Cech will probably play the last game of the season at least. Ivan could easily be rested for Luis, Jose did that earlier in the season in a CL game.
You think Courtois gonna play the Leicester game in the DGW too ?
I think Mourinho will play the very best team he can for every game until the title is wrapped up. Taking tactical elements into account of course.
That suggests Courtois will play both but who knows what Mourinho will see in training. If he feels Courtois needs a rest he won't have any reluctance to play Cech.
In 05/06, we won the league with 2 games to spare. In the two remaining games, we made 9 changes each vs Blackburn and Newcastle, giving gametime to all our reserves including our third choice goalkeeper. I expect it to be no different this season with Zouma, Luis, Cech, Ake, Christiansen, Loftus-Cheek, Solanke and Brown given plenty of gametime especially with the number of spare games we could potentially have
Ake might get his loan extended till the end of the season?
I would love to see Loftus-Cheek and/or Solanke and/or Boga play. Cuadrado could get a start too. But we still have 3 games to win. 😉It's two, isn't it? The Leicester game at the Bridge is the earliest we could win the title. Ha, I had no idea Ake even went on loan 😆 pretty sure I saw his name in the team that won the U-19 UEFA Youth League?
Loftus-Cheek is the one I've been massively impressed with. He has the size and ability to be our next Matic. A Loftus-Cheek, Matic, Fabregas axis would be glorious in time to come. I would rather we nurture Loftus-Cheek than buy Pogba to be honest, but having Pogba won't hurt either 😉No, he's at Reading and didn't play in the Youth League final, he'd have been too old for that anyway.
Well. Technically if we win vs Arsenal and Leicester, the title is wrapped up 🙂
It's 3 unless we beat Arsenal and I'm not counting on that.
I hope Cuadrado finds his feet soon.
Is a double L'Pool attack against WBA (Who showed their defensive solidity yesterday once again) and Hull really worth it ?
Yep
Yep. DGWs are great ways to make up ground. Pool have QPR in GW35 too.
Depends on how they go in the cup. Thats what I'll be basing it on.
I love the latter stages of an FPL season. It's where the planners are rewarded and you can take some short term punts without having to spend transfers dealing with them in the coming weeks.
It's stressing me out a little because if I captain the wrong player in the DGW it can hurt a lot. Rivals in my ML are looking forward to this because they can catch up.
If you're leading then Hazard is the obvious captain IMO.
Those planners include the folks that held their wildcard for just the right moment. 🙂
Very good point. Im not swayed by short term and actually have a plan to to get and sell certain players inorder to make most out of dgw34 and dgw37
Risky business these two GW's it seems Inns, mate, have you always WC-ed early on?
Yep I wildcarded early on as usual. Will get 7 DGWers out for free next week though.
Ah alright, seems like the better move. Will follow suit next year 🙂
Nice mate, I'm looking at seven also (-4)Nice, at least you've still got a WC in your back pocket though 🙂 That'll surely propel you up the rankings over the next few weeks,
Hopefully, thank god it worked out in the end, was looking grim for us WCers!
Let's kick some Aussie ass next week man, #matchofthecentuy
Night mate😀
Night bud.
Why no Coutinho love here?
Seems everyone is going Sterling or Hendo if cheap.
Hows Moreno?Everyone prefers Sterling and Hendo because they got an assist/goal last week. If Coutinho scored instead of Sterling, he'd be the one everybody's going for.
I got him in
I heard this recently: when you've found a gem, it's usually better to keep it to yourself 😉
I agree with this reasoning wholeheartedly.
Morning DZ
Pants
Ivan, Terry, Wollscheid
Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Mane
Kun, Kane, Vardy
Krul, Boyd, Koscielny, Dawson
2FT, 3.3m
Thoughts on Eriksen/Mane -> Sterling/Coutinho?Looks good wait until after tommorows games though.
So I was fiddling with my WC team earlier looking at future trades and hopped off. Jumped back on now to see I had ozil sitting there.
Love getting a 0.1 drop on WC.RMWCT
Ospina Schmeichel
Terry Skrtel Jenkinson Vlaar Wollschield
Haz Fab Sterling Coutinho Young
Aguero Giroud Vardy
1.7 ITB - for Coutinho > Ozil (or if I do Wollschield > Cameron I can afford fab to Sanchez)Is anybody considering Robertson of Hull for the DGW ?
No, predict 0 CS's until the end of the season
Only Steve Bruce.
not nailed on. . but i think hull players could actually surprise us. we've all loaded up on leicester players but it may be the hull players who bring home the points 🙂
Fixture wise Hull is ranked above in the season ticker too..
So no reason for them not doing that..
Thou I haven't loaded up on Leicester at all, have Ivan, Haz, Remy, Hendo in my team atm, with 2FT and 3.1m to burn.
It'll be a very long week.I have Chester! Whoopie! *cue sound of air going out of a balloon, as it's probably going to amount to little*
I'm not sure any Hull players are being considered full stop.
Yea, that I see.
But I cannot understand why.
Leicester's fixtures are not easy at all but still their prospects are being heavily backed. Kinda weird.rotation rotation rotation
Unfortunately have seen only one Hull game (vs Chelsea) all season so don't know anything about them.
Anyway thanks.Just check out their points total on the FPL website. It tells you all you need to know.
leicester 3 wins in a row . high on confidence 4 out of remaiing 6 matches against team directly around or below them. Worth the risk imo
He's not nailed I'm afraid
In the Paddy Power Cup v Mark
Who wins?
Me = Rose +7 points
Mark = Eriksen, Krul & DowningProbably you I think. Eriksen 'cancels out' Krul for him, if you get what I mean.
I enjoyed when he said this in the post match interview. https://twitter.com/Squawka/status/589500813426450432
Next week:
A) Play Clyne and Bertrand (TOT)
B) Play Clyne/Bertrand and PvA (stk)
Thoughts?B imo
Cheers. Coin toss to decide Clyne or Bert?
Yup.
Thanks mate.
No Pool defender for you?
Nope, getting in Mignolet though.
Ah okay. I'd go A.
Cheers. Double Chelsea paying off for you 😀
Finally!
Yep!
Wish I'd kept my faith. qpr away followed by united at home didn't seem promising though. Oh wellI've always had faith tbh. Mou is the master at grinding out narrow wins and clean sheets at this stage of the season.
It must suck especially for you since you sold one so you could get in Remy, who's been a disaster (like I predicted 😉 )Yeah true.
Haha yep. 0 points from 2 games, brilliant. No point getting rid now though, because whoever I bring in will be Giroud next week anyway.
B
Thanks mate.
Chance of Azpi playing both games in the DGW?
Pretty slim I'd say. I can see him starting against Arsenal
50/50 at best. Think Luis may get the LEI game
Is it risky to go without Kane for remainder of season ?
Gw34- Vardy
Gw37- Defoe
Will be difficult to sell him now and get him straight again. without messing up your transfer plans.I wouldn't be too bothered if you're effectively getting 2 extra games from his slots replacements from here until the end.
I've taken the plunge....see below.
What DWG players are you planning on having?
For me
Chelsea - Haz Fabregas, Terry
Liverpool - Sterling Coutinho Skrtel
Leicester - Vardy Schmeichel
Hull - 0
Arsenal - Giroud, Ozil, Ospina
Sunderland - DefoeNot sure yet, but thinking of taking much hits to get in some stock. Currently I am set up with DGW players as such:
Chelsea: Remy, Haz, Ivan
Hull: ChesterAm eyeing up the typicals, pretty much. The likes of Sterling, Hendo, Skrtel, Vardy......Still need time to work it all out.
Will probably avoid Leicester players in the end, to be honest. I mean, they aren't runnin' riot against Chelsea. Lucky to get a goal at all out of that is my gut feeling, so it's almost as if they have a single gameweek.
Why avoid leicester players?
3 wins in a row. Scoring a lot of goals. have (bur new sun qpr) in 4 out of their 6 games remaining. I think they might be worth investing
Hazard, Terry and Ivanovic
Coutinho, Skrtel and Sterling/Henderson
Vardy
-
Giroud, ARS mid, ARS def
Pantilimon and PVADgw34 (-8)
Chelsea - Haz Fabregas, Terry
Liverpool - Sterling Hendo Skrtel
Leicester - Vardy
Hull - McShane
Dgw37 (-4)
Arsenal - Giroud, Ozil, Sanchez
Sunderland - Defoe PVA Panti
Hi gents, any ideas on this lot?
Davis
Fonte Skrtel Terry
Mane Silva Fab Haz
Aguero Giroud Kane
Mannone, Boyd Bellerin Dawson
1FT 0.8ITB
A) Mane -> Henderson
B) Bellerin -> Morgan/Schlupp
C) Both for a -4A
Cheers. 3 Chelsea + 2 Pool players enough for the DGW?
Probably. I'd prefer 3 Pool but your midfield has no room and your defence is pretty set.
I wish I have a WC 😳
A
B.Schlupp
Thanks for the replies.
Hey, at least let Sameobi play first! 😆
Sorry mate. I've got Dawson stuck on my bench too, I don't think anyone could predict a WBA CS away at a free-scoring Palace though. To be honest, I had a gut feeling on WBrom cs. Just went with logic. Sometimes you just gotta let go...
You should've gone for it then! Hopefully Sam scores for you tomorrow.
Jaysus u have the same problem 😮
Team A or Team B for the double? TaKen the plunge and dropped Kane, probably for the season now. Sink or swim. Both team have 9 doublers plus Silva and Aguero.
Team A (3-4-3)
Schmeichel
Terry, Skrtel, Schlupp
Hazard(c), Fabregas, Silva, Henderson
Aguero, Sturridge, Vardy
Fabregas and Sturridge become Sanchez and Giroud in GW36.
Team B (3-5-2)
Schmeichel
Ivanovic, Terry, Skrtel
Hazard(c), Silva, Sterling, Henderson, Cambiasso
Aguero, Vardy (Giroud)
Giroud on bench saves a transfer, and I'll downgrade Ivanovic in GW36 to fund Sterling to Sanchez.
Thoughts?B. I don't see Giroud scoring vs. Chelsea
We will beat Chelse though 😉
Ha ha! Not a snowball's chance in hellski. 🙂
I shall see and find you here next week Enlightinski 🙂
Lol. I may run for the hills, never to be seen again.
That might be me 😮
I'll follow you, heckling you all the way until I get tired and decide to go back home and enjoy my celebratory extra IPA!
So, for next week:
Myhil
Clyne Wolly JT*
Hazard* Cesc* Silva Eriksen
Kane Kun Giroud
Jakupovic Ameobi Cawson Naughton
2 FT's & 3.5 ITB
A) Jakupovic Naughton Eriksen ➡ Mig Skrtel Sterling
B) Naughton Eriksen Kane ➡ Skrtel Hendo Sturridge
C) otherA imo
Eriksen Kane Ameobi Wolly --> Sterling , Hendo/Cout, Vardy , Moreno )-8)
Thanks. Not sure if it's worth -8 though
9 years, 22 days ago
My provisional plan takes exact cash to do 😮
Fonte>Ivanovic
Lescott>Schlupp
Eriksen>Sterling
Then: Murray>Giroud
Bertrand>PvA (for DGW)
