My provisional plan takes exact cash to do 😮

    Fonte>Ivanovic
    Lescott>Schlupp
    Eriksen>Sterling

    Then: Murray>Giroud
    Bertrand>PvA (for DGW)

I'd pass on Lescott to Schlupp for a hit.

Not really fond of Schlupp myself because I doubt he'll keep a CS during the double but it does get rid of Lescott (who has poor fixtures) and gives me enough money to get Giroud next week. I can get Ivan and Sterling in by themselves but it'll be harder to upgrade Murray.

            Chelsea (A)
            Utd (H)
            Liverpool (A)

Giroud's fixtures become good and the double approaches where he'll surely play both games.

lol you got me Ruth! That's what I meant. He's been getting no points and he's one of the most expensive forwards in the game.

He's a big lump that's a Championship level player at best. Played most of his long career in League one. Limited talent.

When Palace play very well he can get on the end of things but in the last 5 games he has had 3 shots on target and 3 goals. That's a crazy aberration and it won't continue (as I said last week).

Unless Palace are dominating he has virtually nothing to offer and after GW34 their fixtures are as tough as hell. Seems like unbelievably bad value to me and I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

Could of easily scored today if he actually got his head on the ball! Still, at 5.3M you can't expect high returns. Kane is one of the exceptions.

Kind of my point really. Why waste a valuable forward slot on a player like that?

You're right, as I said he's been blanking every game since given a starting berth by Pardew. Palace haven't even been that much of an attacking side lately, either.

I mean who doesn't?!?! You'd have to be mad to think anything otherwise. Rooney even gets to play defensive midfield sometimes, best thing ever for a FPL forward, and he's only 10.9!!!!!! Look at all his double digit hauls in the last month or so. Points galore there.

    Who to get ?

    A- Henderson

    B- Sterling

C- Both & Bench one of Silva or Kane

Two Liverpool attackers against West Brom and Hull (who will definitely park the bus) might not be of interest. I think Sterling is enough.

I'm going with: Fabregas, Hazard, Sterling, Skrtel, Ivanovic and perhaps Schlupp.

It would be throwing caution to the wind but is it inconceivable that Sterling could outscore Hazard? I don't think so
My armband will be firmly on Hazard but if a rival or two takes the risk then fair play to them they come off sometimes

I have to agree here. Sometimes risks need to be taken and people are running out of time to take those risks. Sterling is a good option if he is part of a front 3.

Terry is probably as good an option.

He will play every game till the end of season unless injured and is always capable of a goal.

There is a fair chance Ivan may be rested for a game once the title is wrapped up.

I don't think you understand (a) the regard that JT is held in at Chelsea and by Mourinho, (b) that he is Chelsea's captain and won't be dropped unless injured, (c) that he has just signed an extended contract, (d) that the pairing for next season will be JT +1 and (e) the long-term future in Mourinho's mind is probably Zouma + Varane.

Zouma is getting eased in and educated this season. If he plays centre back in a PL game it will almost certainly be alongside JT unless he is injured.

    Sanchez - Haz - Silva - Eriksen - Mane
    Aguero - Vardy

    Panti; Kane, Dawson, PvA
    0.6ITB + 1FT

Plan to do Vert + Erik + Mane > Skrtel + Sterling + Hendo for a 8 pt hit. Anything I should reconsider? Only problem is I'll only have 2 Chelsea but they're not scorig much lately anyways.

I like it, Guah. Only thing I would be worried about is if they clinch the league in the next couple of games that FLuis gets a game or two at the tail end of the season with nothing to play for. But that could be said about anyone in their back line I guess. I can't see FLuis getting a game over Azpil with them out of all other competitions. I think he's a strong pick right now.

When Chelsea are confirmed champions anyone removing Hazard? Quite a few bit part Chelsea players likely to be given a chance and could get a jump on rivals in the last couple of weeks if JM let's him enjoy the last few from the sidelines

    1. Ruth_NZ

Let's say Arsenal beat Chelsea. Could easily happen. Chelsea will then need 3 more wins from 5 games. That takes it to GW 36 at the earliest and a draw with Liverpool would take it to GW37.

GW38 is at home v Sunderland when Mourinho will probably field his 1st XI for the last game of the season, hopefully prior to the trophy presentation. If Chelsea have wrapped things up by then they could run riot.

And the moral of this story is that removing Hazard is unlikely to be a good idea. 😉

Foolish not to be planning. Arsenals games mean it's a necessity to know how your getting those players in as soon as you want them

Yeap. one reason i got fab was that it will be easy to swap for an arsenal mid. With ivan too much money will be stuck up in defence requiring more hits

Feel like rolling the dice ...

    Davis (Krul)
    Terry Bertrand Jagielka (PVA Duff)
    Haz Sanchez Fab Eriksen (Walters)
    Giroud Kane Kun

    Assuming no Pool injuries ...
    A) Eriksen > Sterling
    B) Bertrand > Skrtel
    C) Walters > Cambiasso
    D) A and B for a -4
    E) A/B/C for a -8

    Suggestions? I'm seriously considering D or E.

JT will play every game if fit. The others could be rested. Cech will probably play the last game of the season at least. Ivan could easily be rested for Luis, Jose did that earlier in the season in a CL game.

I think Mourinho will play the very best team he can for every game until the title is wrapped up. Taking tactical elements into account of course.

That suggests Courtois will play both but who knows what Mourinho will see in training. If he feels Courtois needs a rest he won't have any reluctance to play Cech.

In 05/06, we won the league with 2 games to spare. In the two remaining games, we made 9 changes each vs Blackburn and Newcastle, giving gametime to all our reserves including our third choice goalkeeper. I expect it to be no different this season with Zouma, Luis, Cech, Ake, Christiansen, Loftus-Cheek, Solanke and Brown given plenty of gametime especially with the number of spare games we could potentially have

Ake might get his loan extended till the end of the season?

I would love to see Loftus-Cheek and/or Solanke and/or Boga play. Cuadrado could get a start too. But we still have 3 games to win. 😉

It's two, isn't it? The Leicester game at the Bridge is the earliest we could win the title. Ha, I had no idea Ake even went on loan 😆 pretty sure I saw his name in the team that won the U-19 UEFA Youth League?

Loftus-Cheek is the one I've been massively impressed with. He has the size and ability to be our next Matic. A Loftus-Cheek, Matic, Fabregas axis would be glorious in time to come. I would rather we nurture Loftus-Cheek than buy Pogba to be honest, but having Pogba won't hurt either 😉

Cheers. 3 Chelsea + 2 Pool players enough for the DGW?

Probably. I'd prefer 3 Pool but your midfield has no room and your defence is pretty set.

Hey, at least let Sameobi play first! 😆

Sorry mate. I've got Dawson stuck on my bench too, I don't think anyone could predict a WBA CS away at a free-scoring Palace though.

To be honest, I had a gut feeling on WBrom cs. Just went with logic. Sometimes you just gotta let go...

Team A or Team B for the double? TaKen the plunge and dropped Kane, probably for the season now. Sink or swim. Both team have 9 doublers plus Silva and Aguero.

    Team A (3-4-3)

    Schmeichel
    Terry, Skrtel, Schlupp
    Hazard(c), Fabregas, Silva, Henderson
    Aguero, Sturridge, Vardy

Fabregas and Sturridge become Sanchez and Giroud in GW36.

    Team B (3-5-2)

    Schmeichel
    Ivanovic, Terry, Skrtel
    Hazard(c), Silva, Sterling, Henderson, Cambiasso
    Aguero, Vardy (Giroud)

Giroud on bench saves a transfer, and I'll downgrade Ivanovic in GW36 to fund Sterling to Sanchez.

    Thoughts?
