Mondogoal – Gameweek 34 – £30k Super Qualifier

Mondogoal are turning up the heat on their end of season £30,000 World Championship, offering up a “Super Qualifier” contest with no less than five qualifying spots up for grabs.

With last weekend’s Fantasy Football Scout lineup falling short of a top spot, the £10 entry contest offers us all a timely option to up our chances of being in the hat for the £10,000 top prize on the final day of the season.

The £30,000 World Championship

How Does it Work?

So far, there are 110 qualifiers in place for the final Gameweek contest. To qualify, you need to win one of Mondogoal’s £30k qualifying contests.

You can enter these for just £2 but, as mentioned, this weekend there’s a “Super Qualifier” available – offering the opportunity to claim one of five spots for a £10 entry fee.

How Do I Enter?

Mondogoal are running three more qualifying contests this weekend. You have until 12.35 on Saturday to select your line-up for either the £2, £10 or £50 contests.

If you’re consistent with your picks you may even be able to progress with more than one team – you can have up to ten entries in the Championship final come May.

Don’t forget, you can enter multiple contests with the same Mondogoal line-up with the click of a button.

Having multiple teams will obviously increase your outlay but, with the ability to block out defences, you’ll certainly be increasing your chances of hitting a big score.

Once you’ve created your squad for one contest, go to your list of entries, click on a contest and then click “Enter This Line-up in Other Contests”.

Mondogoal provides the perfect antidote to our double Gameweek headaches this weekend: we can banish any obsession with capitalising on the Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester squads and consider those players with just a single fixtures over the weekend programme.

This brings the likes of Newcastle, Crystal Palace and, in particular, QPR into the reckoning as sources of Fantasy talent.

Indeed, we’re backing Chris Ramsey’s side heavily with our current Mondogoal selection, as they prepare for a must-win Loftus Road meeting with London rivals West Ham. The Hammers are in a malaise right now, struggling for form with uncertainty surrounding Sam Allardyce’s future at the club. We’re looking to capitalise on this by putting our faith in four of the R’s assets – including Rob Green in goal and the attacking menace of Matt Phillips and, of course, goal-getter Charlie Austin.

Palaces’ Scott Dann and Newcastle’s Ryan Taylor are our defensive enablers this week, priced at 5.8 and 6.2 respectively. The pair offer points potential at both ends of the pitch, with Taylor having been deployed in a midfield role last time out and up against a Swansea side who are lacking a proven goal threat with Bafétimbi Gomis on the sidelines.

We’ve found room for both Liverpool and Leicester assets this week, despite both facing tricky away encounters. With the risk of Eden Hazard’s attacking potential being tempered by limited ambition at the Emirates, we’ve looked instead to both Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho to provide the midfield spark. They face a trip to the Hawthorns to take on a West Brom side that have shipped seven goals in their last two home matches.

Jamie Vardy is our lone Leicester representative – his pace and tenacity will be key to the Foxes quest for a fourth straight win when they visit Turf Moor. Goals look likely in this crunch encounter and, having returned in three of his last four, we’ve faith in the 6.8 asset delivering.

The lineup is completed by two in-form targets. We’re struggling to see struggling Hull City coping with the pace and power of Yannick Bolasie at Selhurst Park, while Sergio Aguero has to be backed for more goals given that Villa’s vibrant attack are likely to draw the sting from champions City at the Etihad.

A reminder that this week’s Mondogoal contests close at 12.35 on Saturday, giving us the opportunity to scan the teamsheet at St Mary’s prior to locking down our lineup.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          not great options..

I think going forward Cambiasso will fare better than Moses, but I'd only do that if you still have funds to do Remy to Giroud the following week. You're going to have to shift Remy sooner or later..

            • 9 Years

The Moses --> Cambiasso move is a perfect opportunity to free up some cash on a dead spot (5th middfielder). Also Cambiasso had 2 games and Giroud only 1. But when I buy Giroud now I don't have to buy him next week and could possibly save my FT there.

So then ladies n gentlemen, its very much the pointy end of the season, the final push for a good overall rank and mini-league battles to be decided. I rarely post tbh as i'm a bit of a technophobe n just dont have it in me to get embroyled in daily discussions on the better options a over b etc instead much prefering my extraorinaire lurker status.

However........with a WC active and two possible teams ready to go thought i'd ask the greater good of the ffs community whether double che defence or a Cesc addition to my midfield 5 would be the best way to go. It's certainly not unfeasable that che will come out of the dgw with two clean sheets considering the proximity of taking the title however as many have said on these boards over the week Cesc at the Emirates screams a top performance from the ex ars playmaker.

    What say you? 🙂

    1. ellelelle
      • 9 Years

i think Chelsea are unlikely to keep clean sheets.. but terry and ivan do have some attacking threat so I can see why people would go for them with Chelsea likely to slow play.

I went with Fabregas for some differential, and because with their striker situation I was hoping he would get better positioned for goals, and maybe also feel obliged to perform against Arsenal. We shall see!

I've brought fab in this week. feels like guaranteed points to me! but feel like terry/ivan/fab could end up on pretty similar points... guess it depends who you'd be replacing them for? is the defender u'd swap weaker than the midfielder u'd swap?

    NO LUCK:
His missus told Hutton dressed as Lahm

Dear Scouts, please add that instead of Abreus:
“All players will blank a few times during the season. When almost all do it in the same Gameweek, it is tough to take, but that's just the dark side of probability.” down there.

In light of the insider news on Vardy I decided to do the same and get in touch with Robbie Brady. His response was "Who are you?" Then I remembered, we weren't really friends.

Sure like many I'm considering Remy > Vardy for -4pts.

But nothing, nothing at all feels right about this move.

One Lei is vs Chelsea, so that's effectively 2pts top for Vardy (probably one point will a YC). And then Burnley away, which is a 6pter and Burnley is no push over.

And he's not even on penos 😕

Same here. Maybe just keep Remy, and let Boyd come of the bench.

Problem is in a DGW that doesn't feel right either.......I mean Boyd, we barely play him in a SGW, let alone a DGW.

        It's a fooking mess 😀

        1. Lyonnais
          • 11 Years

Boyd delivers when we need him !
Remy was definitely my worst transfer this season, but I'm already on -4, not sure if it's worth to take another hit...

Yep...probably best to rely on your subs if you can, or bring in a striker you do want.

Guyz, I'm going to drop Kane for Vardy or Ulloa. I don't like the look of Spurs' fixtures or their holiday attitude and I'm chasing anyway. It's time to be bold. It's time to be daring. If I f.uck it up then f.uck it. Should I just be content with 4th in my mini league? Should I f.uck. I might get second if I gamble. I won't finish any lower if I don't. So f.uck it. I'm doing this sh.it

4-3-3 is very unappealing visually in FPL. I don't think I've ever used it before and it looks odd.

4-3-3 is only for GWs where there are blanks floating around and the squad game comes in handy.
