Sky Sports Focus – Fantasy Football Scout League Details

As we mentioned yesterday, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game is now up and running ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

After winning top spot in the League of Leagues for the past three seasons, we’re looking to defend our crown once again and hope to make it four times running this year.

For those playing the Sky Sports game, we’ve set up an official Fantasy Football Scout league – the name is FFScout and the pin number to join is 8009000.

Last season, we handed over a cool £1,000 to the Fantasy manager who finished at the summit of the Scout league and hope to offer prizes once again this year – which should be incentive enough to assemble a team and get involved.

Over the next few days, we’ll be rolling out Player Price List analysis articles, breaking down the options position by position and offering insight into each player’s potential.

Once the season gets underway, we’ll be bringing you hints and tips in our weekly Friday afternoon “Sky Sports Focus” articles, analysing the market trends and looking at transfer tactics for the Gameweek ahead.

Our regular contributor d1sable will again be at the helm to offer his expert advice – he’ll be looking for yet another top 100 finish after a storming end to the previous campaign.

                Once about 12 years ago on my own for a really bizarre line of work I was in.

                  Yes for a city of its size (large metropolitan area), it's got an unusually small town centre, compared to cities of comparable population (Nottingham and Newcastle). Part of that is because Meadowhall, the out-of-town shopping centre, has become the main shopping hub.

        I think Milner will offer more attacking prowess than Hendo but hendo could out score him if he takes the penalties.. Its a coin toss. I think I might go Milner though as abit of differential

    For each, it's 5 - 5 - 4.5 price-wise, so it's a budget/mid-price rotation. Perhaps useful if you're going with just one CHE/ARS defender.

          Cherry-picking slightly as the other matches in the first 6 are against Arsenal, Chelsea, Man C and Spurs! I would personally wait until GW7 for any Palace - by then you will also have a better idea of who to get as Bolasie/Puncheon/Cabaye are all capable of being on form

    I done up a spreadsheet of corresponding results and total player points from last season's corresponding fixtures. I know points accumulation will differ, it was just to give me an idea of who performed well against said teams. I also put in opposite result in right hand side of brackets to see patteren against these teams if any.

        Working both in is bloody tough and probably means 2 budget strikers or no Chelsea defender.

        There's a logic to starting with Hazard and Rooney then finding a way of going from Rooney to Kun GW3

        Nearly 300 dribbles(+1 bps per dribble) last season, 50 odd more than Bolasie in second. Also 100 chances created(+3 bps per chance created) which still need converting into goals. Cesc only created 93 yet picked up 9 more assists.

        My only issue bap wise is his lack of crosses, only 61 last year(+1 bps per cross) at an 18% success rate. Cesc had 198 crosses at a near 30% success rate(blame set pieces).

    Butland, Schmeichel
    Koscielny, Cedric, Williams, Jenkinson, Huth
    Hazard, Cazorla, Toure, Mane, Wanyama
    Rooney, Benteke, Deeney

    Keepers look like they rotate well for the first fixtures before wildcarding.
    Arsenal have better opening fixtures than Chelsea so Kos over Azpi.
    All four midfielders are capable of big hauls - still undecided on the Arsenal pick.
    Benteke maybe not up to being in my second striker spot but his fixtures are good and he has performed in the past at times.

    Working my way though the arsenal squad.... Arsene could field two almost equally good teams.

    Which has left me wide eyed and on edge at the prospect of a rotation policy at full back, with
    Bellerin/debuchy and gibbs/that spanish geeza. Who will emerge as a regular starter out of those four?

    Also why do I get the general feeling that ozil is receiving much more affection than ramsey on this site? Has he vowed to start living up to his talent or something?

      There is a rotation threat for pretty much every Arsenal player, the only ones that wouldn't worry me too much are Cech, Kos, Sanchez, and Ozil. If we start with a basic outline of the attack (when Sanchez is back):

      Coquelin-Cazorla
      Ramsey-Ozil-Sanchez
      Giroud

      That could easily be:

      Coquelin-Ramsey
      Walcott-Ozil-Sanchez
      Giroud

      Or:
      Coquelin-Cazorla
      Walcott-Ozil-Sanchez
      Giroud

      Or:
      Coquelin-Cazorla
      Ramsey-Ozil-Sanchez
      Walcott

      That's before even factoring in Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Welbeck. It's a minefield, but I don't see Ozil being displaced. I think he's a marvellous player, and I think he showed his form after his injury last season. I think he will have a huge year this year, I really believe he could tear it up.

          If it was really thorough (including Welbeck, Wilshere, Ox, Rosicky, Arteta, Flamini) it would have taken up the whole page! There can be no certainty because they have so many good players who can play in a multitude of positions (except DM of course). Just going to have to brace yourself for the odd benching.
