Feeling pretty confident on my team, but hope to get some input on changes and improvements. Any thoughts? RMT.

    Pantilimon, (Schwarzer)

    Azpilicueta, Cedric, Morgan, Francis, Targett
    Sterling, Hazard, Özil, Anya, Walcott
    Rooney, Benteke, Deepay

    0 in the bank.

Aguero plan: Change Walcott and Rooney for Ritchie and Aguero

Targett is only a short term play, 2 or 3 GW's max then he just wont get any game time.

      "DEEpay" is a midfielder!

Sorry, was surpose to be Deeney.

Why is Targett only short term?

Because he plays left back and once Bertrand is back fit after his injury (expected to be GW 2 or 3) then he won't play anymore. Bertrand is nailed as long as he's fit

    GK Maarten Stekelenburg
    GK Julian Speroni
    DEF Cesar Azpilicueta
    DEF Per Mertesacker
    DEF Cedric Soares
    DEF John O'Shea
    DEF Simon Francis
    MID Eden Hazard
    MID David Silva
    MID Santiago Carzola
    MID Mile Jedinak
    MID Victor Wanyama
    FWD Callum Wilson
    FWD Wayne Rooney
    FWD Harry Kane

    Considerations:
    1. Stekelenburg or Mignolet? I already have a Cedric.
    2. Aguero plans (GW3: Rooney + Silva > Aguero + Henderson + 0.5m)

    Please advise!

      I don't really like O'Shea, maybe another 4.5 def?

Mid seems a bit weak, Jedinak and Wanyama (presume you'll be playing one of them each week unless you're going 4-3-3) also don't rotate very well... week 5 & 6 look especially tough.

Strong attack but midfielder's generally outscored forwards last year so maybe downgrade one of Rooney or Kane and upgrade one of your mid's? Like that you have an Aguero plan though

Thanks - very helpful! Back to the drawing board.

        Option 1
        - May drop Merte to 4.5 and reconsider o'shea to do 4.5s rotation with azp cedric.
        - And replacing Jedinak with prob > Ki Sung/Ritchie (Wilson>Deeney)/Shelv

        Option 2
        - downgrade fwd although extremely reluctant to release rooney/kane

what do people think of mignolet?

        1. BbBb

I prefer Stekelenburg to Mignolet at the moment but Liverpool's defence may well improve from last season with Clyne and S'Ton may well get worse after losing him and Toby

I've been tinkering so much these past few weeks, but hopefully now have a balanced squad which rotates well and will

work for the first few GW's???
Your opinions are very much appreciated.

    GW 1= 4-4-2

    Ruddy
    Huth - Cédric - Ivanovic - Mings
    Mané - Hazard (C) - Walcott - Depay
    Wilson - Rooney

    Butland - King - Sakho - Rose

    GW 2= 3-4-3

Rose in (don't fancy vs Man U GW1) with Ivan & Cedric in defence
Sakho in (don't fancy vs Ars GW1) - has a couple of great fixtures so will hopefully be amongst the goals

Still have 0.5 ITB which will allow me to bring in Aguero for Rooney before GW 4 with only 1 FT by downgrading either

Ivan to 5.0 or one of the non performing mid's.
Might also look to switch Depay to Streling for GW 4, possibly by downgrading one 4.5 def to a breakthrough starting

    4.0 who rotates well.

Southampton and Bournmouth double ups as I feel their early fixtures cannot be ignored, wont have 2 of each once their

games get harder. Likewise Utd as I can see them getting lots of goals in their first 3/4 GW's and I feel Rooney and

Depay are the 2 most likely sources.

Still not sure about King to be honest, Sakho faces away ties vs Liv and City GW 4 & 6... any better 4.5 mid options

for rotation in these weeks? I could always move to 4 at the back for these though and leave King as bench fodder.

    Thanks

Confused at the moment, made so many "potential" teams but think I'm at a point where I'm reasonably happy:

    Krul (Ruddy)

Francis Cedric Azpilicueta (Lescott and Angella)

    Ramsey Hazard Schneiderlin Chadli (Wanyama)

    Rooney Bojan Aguero

Aguero is in simply because I don't want to reshuffle too much later or use an early wildcard ... also I thought I heard he has been back in full training for a few days now so might only miss one game ... confusing

(RMT) need advice to find 2mil for last midfielder.
    Cech (Schwarzer)
    Cedric, Azpilacueta, Cameron, Huth, Baker.
Walcott (c) Sterling, Hazard, Sigurdsson, ---
    Rooney, Benteke, Lukaku.

What do you make of this lot? RMT pls

    Ruddy (Butland)
Ivan, Kosc, Huth (Cedric, Steven Taylor)
    Haz, Cazola, Ozil, Tadic (King)
    Roonpig, Ulloa, Pelle

Plan to downgrade one of Ozil or Tadic to fund Aguero by GWK 4. Going to have to wait and see which 4.5 - 5.5m midfielder will show some early season form. Any predictions?

I reckon Jordan Ibe 5.0 might have a big season as long as he can keep his place in the Liverpool team above Firminio/Coutinho or if Rogers finds a way to fit them all in.

I like most of your team though.
Suspect Taylor won't play regularly - his price may drop early if not and you'll be stuck with a non playing sub 4.0m defender who's not easy to change. Try and get another regularly playing 4.5 which will give you more flexibility should you want to change.
I like your front 3 but there are question marks over how much tinkering Ranieri will do at Leicester so I doubt they'll have a settled team for at least a few weeks. This on it's own is fine as long as you have a good midfield rotation option should Ulloa not play, but you have King (another Lei player) who also might suffer at the hands of Tinkerieri which could leave you forced to play 4-4-2 - again this is not bad as you have quite a strong defence, just something to be aware of

◘SCHMEICHEL OR MYHILL [Advice] / Schwarzer [4.0m goal keeper as i will play only the regular keeper all matches, so saving 0.5m for a playing keeper which will remain idle money not being utilised]
◘CEDRIC ◘AZPILICUETA ◘Huth/O Shea/Targett [last 3 to be rotated according to match difficulties and Targett to be used to generate money during first gameweeks and then replaced by a 4.0m defender, probably Ryan Benett who looks nailed up having started almost all Norwich matches in pre season]
◘WALCOTT ◘HENDERSON ◘MANE ◘PAYET ◘Westwood who will remain benched [not choosing Wanyama because i may want to get a 3rd playing saints player afterwards and with Wanyama in my team, I will not be able to add another performing saints player]
◘COSTA ◘ROONEY ◘KANE [Kane at 9.5m is great value as per PPMPG]

gw1 --- transfer out Costa transfer in Sakho
gw2 --- transfer out Walcott transfer in Hazard [because I really think Hazard at 11.5 with high ownership will ceratainly drop in price in the opening gameweeks bearing in mind many will transfer him out due to City match in gw2 and more if he don't perform in gw1]
gw3 --- transfer out Rooney transfer in Aguero

► what's your advice pertaining to Schmeichel vs Myhill bearing in mind Schmeichel will have easier fixtures but Myhill with hard fixtures will generate a lot of saves
► what's your advice on Payet ? another alternative would be Kocielsny+Ritchie instead of Payet+Huth but I love Payet because of his ability to generate assist and goals at a low minutes per assists/goals and Kocieslny pts could be almost matched by a good rotation of Huth and O Shea ... and Ritchie have harder fixtures than West Ham and we don't know how will the Bournemouth game be in he EPL [bearing in mind that Ritchie have had no returns in his pre season gaes]

    Afternoon all

What are your thoughts on the following GW1 1st draft, with an eye on WC for GW 4 and Aguero in GW3:

    Schmeichel (Butland)
    Ivanovic, Huth, Cedric (PVA, Prodl)
    Hazard, Walcott, Ritchie, Wanyama (Shelvey)
    Bamford, Lukaku, Rooney

      Hi Ryan

I'd start by adding another playing 4.5 keeper who rotates well - I prefer Schmeichel over Myhill but the problem you have here is that Lei rotate well with Swansea and Southampton and both of their playing keepers will set you back 5m
So... I'd go Myhill and Guzan as West Brom goes well with Villa

Defence looks good, maybe a little bit light and I'd rather have another 4.5 over OShea

I'd be a little worried about Payet as your 4th mid as he's new to the league, but I guess it all depends on your risk appetite... he might well come good but be prepared to switch him if he does not start well which may mess up your pre planned transfers

Very strong forwards - nothing to criticise except spending so big limits you elsewhere

I doubt many will be selling Hazard so don't suspect his price to drop.

      Hope this helps

    Please RMT guys:

    Cech

    Azpilecueta Skrtel Cedric

Mane Hazard (C) Henderson Yaya Toure

    Wilson Kane Rooney

    Bench:

    Schmeichel
    Targett
    Kind Richards

Im wondering if I should replace Skrtel with Clyne. Also im not 100% convinced on the inclusion of Mane and Henderson for consistent points scoring. Any thoughts much appreciated!

Hi Guys, I'm feeling pretty confident with the team I have, I'd just like a second opinion on it..

    Butland || Schmeichel

    Clyne || Yoshida || Huth || Koscielny || Richards

    Mane || Fabregas || Silva || Cazorla || King

Falcao (taking a punt) || Deeney || Aguero

Saving Aguero, so I know I have him, just is Falcao worth having faith in? Fabregas will surely create chances... Cheers!

      Strong team!

I would consider Fabregas out for Hazard (if possible), or Walcott. Falcao would quite possibly be a genious move for the first gameweeks 🙂

Yoshida won't play now that Caulker has arrived IMO but would be good value if he does.
No Hazard might come back to bite you.
I don't have faith in Falcao, Costa will play a lone striker role so he'll only come on as a sub for ~30mins a game until/unless he proves himself. As well as having an awful time at Utd last season he had a poor Copa America for Columbia too.

    Hi peops,

Ok here's my RMT request i think i'm nearly sorted with just one question, but first here's my team.
    Speroni, Butland
    Koscielny, Ivanovic, Cedric, Mings, Pudl
    Henderson, Hazard, Mane, Ritchie, Walcott
    Kane, Benteke, Ighalo

Trying to decide wether to Ivanovic for azpi and mane to sterling, any thoughts? Planing to make my final decision on Walcott after the community shield tomorrow.

    Thanks

I would choose Ivanovic over Azpi any day. Due to offensive contributions. Mane v. Sterling is also a dilemma for my part, But choosing Sterling for now, believing that he will enjoy a better suited role for him in city.

Have you considered Milner in alternative to Henderson?

I haven't really considered Milner to be fair I've kept Hendo mainly for his set peices and penalties.

      2. BbBb

Agreed, keep Ivan, you can always downgrade him to Azpi if you need some flexibility to bring others in at a later date then.
I'd keep Mane for the time being. STon have really good fixtures to start with but City have it quite tough until GW4. I'm hoping to bring Sterling in for that week as well as Aguero.
I had Ighalo for ages after his amazing pre season but have reconsidered due to Watford's tough fixtures at the start.

    Hi fantasy-freaks, I currently have this squad lined up;

    Cech (Schwarzer)
    Ivanovic, Cedric, Wisdom, Kolarov (Clyne)
    Walcott, Sterling, Hazard, King (Koyuate)
    Diouf, Giroud (Sakho)

Will most probably let Clyne get a place in the line up for Wisdom, Unsure about Diouf, but want him on team for the next matches. This is also why I have to west ham players on the bench.

Any thoughts on this line-up will be very much appreciated 🙂

    1. Greasy
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 10 months ago

Kolarov is a very big rotation risk with Clichy.
      Who's King?
Clyne a bit pricey to bench?
Sakho also maybe a bit expensive to bench?

Walcott sterling and hazard good picks.
      Great defence

I would play Sakho over king and go 4-3-3

Aware of the rotation risk with Clichy. But with Zabaleta maybe out of the starting games (?!?) I have faith in him playing. But appreciate the warning, I should take it a bit more into consideration.

Joshua King on Bournemouth. He is placed on the midfield, but will most likely play as a striker. (that is what he is in real life).

Agree on Clyne and Sakho expensive to bench, but as stated I will maybe let Wisdom take the bench. Only problem is I don't have faith in Liverpool getting a clean sheet against Stoke in first GW. (Maybe because I have Diouf in the lineup).

Hey guys, been working on this for a while, seem to spend too much time on here lol!

last year was my first year playing, and I loved it, so I'm back!

I wonder if any of you experienced guys could share your thoughts?

    Butland, Ruddy

    Azpilicueta, Cedric, Francis/Ward, 4.0

    Hazard, Walcott, Sterling, Ozil, Fletcher

    Rooney, Pelle, Vardy

I know that as Jonty and Mark said in their video, 4.0 is a bad idea, just really hoping one pops up before game day, currently on Simpson Lei.

I also know Vardy is a little off the wall, but I really like Leicester and I like their fixtures, I see him as my differential.

what do you guys think? what do you like? what dont you like?

GK wise I think you're good! Though i prefer a Butland, Speroni collab. (Spurn made most saves last season for his 4.5m tag).
DEF is where i have doubts, Azpi is a good pick, as is Cedric, but its the final 3 that raise concern, would you be playing just 3 DEFs at a time and benching the 4.0/4.5s?
MID is bang on the money, having a pick from each top 4 team is guaranteed to get you points (again, fletcher would be benched most GWs?
FWDs are solid, though Vardy is a real wildcard; not guaranteed to start... perhaps downgrade Roo to Kane and spend the extra conga on upgrading Vardy?

Overall, a good team, think you're ready to go, just those annoying final tweeks

    Hey all, mine is a 3-4-3 :

    Myhill / Ruddy

    Ivanovic
    Francis
    O'Shea

    Walcott
    Hazard
    Fabregas
    Ki Sung-Yeung/Henderson

    Rooney
    Benteke
    Deeney

    Bench:

    Joel Ward
    Steven Taylor

The plan is to bring in Ageuro/Azpi /5.5 Mid for Ivanovic/Rooney/Henderson

Any tips? Anywhere I have glaringly messed up?

    RMT please guys?

    Panti (Schmeichel)

    williams | Ivan | Huth/Francis (Targett)

Silva | Chadli | Hazard | Ozil (Wanyama)

    Rooney | Benteke | Deeney

I've settled on williams as Jenkinson is not availalble for GW1 but I believe a straight swap GW2 should sort out some of my backline issues. I've settled on silva as Walcott being my other big mid is to unpredictable.

Would love some opinions on my team on the premiere league site:

    Pantilimon / Stekelenburg

    Clyne / Ivanovic / Jagielka / Cédric / O'Shea

Hazard / Mahrez / Barry (Eve) / Bolasie / Ritchie

    Costa / Kane / Pelle

    Schmeichel/Schwarzer
    Azpi/Huth/OShea/Ward/Baker
    Hazard/Puncheon/Fletcher/Mane/Silva/
    Naismith/Kane/Costa

When Aguero fit he comes in for Naismith, I downgrade Silva to a 4.5m midfielder.

    Mad or genius?
