Season Predictions 2015/16 – The View From The Scouts

Welcome to our annual attempt to select the best and worst options in the Fantasy Premier League game and assess how the forthcoming Premier League season will pan out.

Unlike previous attempts, last year saw a number of successful predictions from the Scouts. Granville was correct in predicting a stellar debut season for Diego Costa, Danny Ings and Gylfi Sigurdsson, while Jordan Henderson rewarded my faith in him as a budget midfielder.

Naturally we didn’t get it right all the time and there were some noticeable horror predictions. Andre Schurrle’s departure from Chelsea meant Mark’s guess that he would be the year’s best differential proved ill-fated. Nikica Jelavic, meanwhile, failed to live up to the hype generated by Ryan as being the top scoring budget forward of the year.

Here’s the link if you want to remind yourself just how reliable our soothsaying powers can be.

Hopefully in our latest predictions for the forthcoming Premier League our embarrassing picks will be consigned to the past for good.

I assume your changes are to bring Aguero in...so you may as well prep for it more or else you might have to take a points knock to get him in. If you think your team transfers will work out fine for a GW 4 Aguero purchase then choose your left selection to start with. Also, not sure how good you are to hold on to your wildcard but if you're like me, you're using it GW2 (cos you're crazy...haha...a joke obviously)...in which case, you can prep again after week 1 so again would favour your left selection as I think it's string for this week.

That being said, I think Pelle will out score Kane this GW (call it a hunch).

    Last minute changes! Help needed..

    A) Kane and Depay
    B) Rooney and Chadli + 0.5

A has a penalty taker and seems more luxurious.. But B is proven and scores more goals?

    Which do I pick?

What's the latest on Lukaku? had him penciled in after hearing he should be fine but now I've read Martinez' latest update so I have no idea! Not seeing him in many rmt's but that could just be because people don't fancy him. Thanks

Who's your captain for this week? Weren't we all sold on Hazard? Why the heavy favouring of Rooney now?

I think everyone thinks he's on pens now. I don't see the big deal; pens are rare
