Scout Notes

Scout Notes – Gameweek 9 – Saturday

Jamie Vardy continues to emerge as the unlikely front-runner for the Golden Boot, ensuring he remains the hottest property across the Fantasy games this morning. This despite Raheem Sterling’s hat-trick at the Etihad as the £49 million man teams up with Wilfried Bony to dismantle Bournemouth.

Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho ring the changes and earn victories, as Eden Hazard suffers the indignity of being dumped to the Chelsea bench. Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez has no such concerns as he continues to fire Arsenal’s title tilt and cement his status as prime armband material for the coming Gameweeks. Here’s all the notes from Saturday’s events….

Prolific Vardy Continues Relentless Scoring Streak

Jamie Vardy’s inexorable march towards the Golden Boot continued as he rescued a point for the Foxes with a second-half brace. The 6.8-priced forward now lays claim to eight goals in his last six outings and 10 in his previous 10.

The fact that he amassed double the number of shots inside the box (eight) of any forward on Saturday shows that he’s fashioning a wealth of chances and not just enjoying an unsustainable shot-conversion rate. With a quartet of obliging fixtures on the horizon (CRY, wba, WAT, new), there’s nothing to suggest that Vardy won’t prolong his rich vein of form.

Riyad Mahrez was again omitted from the Leicester starting line-up for the second Gameweek running, much to the ire of his 54% ownership. He and Nathan Dyer entered the fray at the break, though, and went on to supply the ammunition for Vardy’s strikes. Whether this convinces Claudio Ranieri to re-insert Mahrez into the starting line-up remains to be seen. Given that Leicester are back at the King Power Stadium in Gameweek 10 for the visit of Palace, Mahrez will surely be expected to figure from the off.

Saints Pegged Back As Pelle Blanks

Southampton surrendered a two-goal lead at home to the Foxes, having entered the break two goals to the good through the efforts of centre-backs Jose Fonte and Virgil van Dijk.

The Saints are without a clean sheet in their last four fixtures, but the presence of three enticing match-ups (BOU, sun, STO) in the next four should trigger an upsurge of investment in the defensive partnership.

While Van Dijk and Fonte both prospered with attacking returns, Cedric Soares was again withdrawn – this time just before the hour-mark, missing out on a clean sheet point by just a single minute of play. Soares has now been replaced in four of his eight starts this campaign. Given Van Dijk’s proven attacking prowess, the extra 0.5 outlay, or even the 0.4 to Fonte, looks to be a viable option as Soares’s minutes continue to be in question, reducing his bonus point potential in a clean sheet scenario.

In attacking areas, Dusan Tadic – one of our differential picks – came up trumps with an assist, yet form duo Sadio Mane and Pelle – who’d chalked up five goals and seven assists between them in the previous trio of Gameweeks – were conspicuously absent from the scoreboard. Nonetheless, both men came close to converting at St Mary’s Stadium and will fancy their chances of totting up further attacking returns during Southampton’s favourable stretch. Southampton are at Anfield in Gameweek 10, presenting a key test of Ronald Koeman’s side’s progress.

Sterling & Bony Step Up To Fill Aguero Void

Raheem Sterling picked up where Sergio Aguero left off, steering Man City to a 5-1 win over Bournemouth with a first-half hat-trick. In the absence of David Silva, the ex-Liverpool winger was fielded at the number-ten slot and proceeded to amass a 19-point haul.

Priced at 8.8 and owned by 9.7% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, Sterling acts as an affordable route into an attack that’s racked up 11 goals in two outings and faces the generous defences of Norwich (home) and Villa (away) to follow next weekend’s Manchester derby.

Wilfried Bony rewarded the 63,000 FPL managers that plumped for the Ivorian ahead of Southampton’s form striker, Graziano Pelle, with a brace and an assist. No forward recorded more shots on target (four) on Saturday than the former Swansea man, illustrating his capacity to plug the gap while Aguero’s nursing himself back to full health.

Kevin De Bruyne threaded through a sublime pass for Sterling’s second of the afternoon. He’s now carded four goals and assist in his last six starts for the Sky Blues in all competitions. Jesus Navas was on hand for a brace of assists – boosting his tally to four for the season – while Yaya Toure was substituted at half time, with Manuel Pellegrini affording him a rest ahead of their midweek Champions League clash.

Spurs Rearguard Returns Again

Tottenham extended their unbeaten streak to eight matches with a 0-0 stalemate at home to Liverpool – their fourth clean sheet in their last six home ties. No side has conceded fewer goals (seven) than Mauricio Pochettino’s troops, who are profiting from astute defensive reinforcements and a steelier midfield.

Both Toby Alderweireld (5.1 in the FPL) and Eric Dier (5.2) serve as strong routes into their rearguard ahead of a run that includes a trio of favourable match-ups (bou, AVL, ars, WHU). However, Moussa Dembele’s performance on his return to the side in the double pivot alongside Dele Alli will give Pochettino food for thought when considering an instant recall for Dier in that position.

In addition, the decision to recall Danny Rose at left-back indicates that Ben Davies – a 4.5 option in the FPL – is now no longer a viable candidate in the Spurs rearguard. Alderweireld or keeper Hugo LLoris (5.0) currently look the most secure options, then.

Sturridge Absence Blunts Klopp Debut

Jurgen Klopp commandeered Liverpool to a hard-fought draw in his first match at the helm.

The new Liverpool boss was dealt a major blow pre-match when Daniel Sturridge sustained a knee injury in training. Klopp therefore opted for a 4-3-2-1 set-up, fielding Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana behind central striker Divock Origi who made a first league start of the season.

In defence, the reds kept their first shut-out in six outings and, while Fantasy managers should monitor progress in this area, Liverpool’s schedule presents them with a tough quintet of match-ups (SOU, che, CRY, mci, SWA).

Alberto Moreno, pushing up from left-back and handed an share of dead-ball duties, looks to be the premium option on offer – he’s currently priced at just 4.7 in the FPL and seemingly assured of his start, at least until Klopp has opportunity to recruit in January.

Costa The Key As Hazard Sits Things Out

Diego Costa – one of our suggested differentials – recorded a goal and an assist as Chelsea ran out 2-0 victors over Aston Villa.

Drafted in by over 100,000 managers during the international break, the 11.0-priced marksman proved to be an able replacement for the injured Sergio Aguero and delivered Fantasy returns for the first time in four starts.

Considering the Blues’ wealth of agreeable fixtures through to Gameweek 19 (sto, NOR, BOU, lei, SUN, WAT), Costa could reaffirm his big-hitting potential over that stretch.

Eden Hazard’s omission from the starting line-up was the major talking point prior to kick-off, with Pedro the favoured replacement on the left flank. Jose Mourinho later revealed that Hazard wasn’t rested but was instead dropped due to his lack of defensive discipline. Mourinho went on to insist that the Belgian winger will remain rooted to the bench if he can’t match the work ethic of his other wide options. Should Hazard sit out the Gameweek 10 trip to West Ham, an exodus would likely be on the cards – Hazard is still found in 25% of FPL squads.

Willian claimed the assist for Chelsea’s opener and he’s now found returns in three consecutive Gameweeks. With two goals and assists this campaign, the Brazilian livewire is already on pace to surpass his haul from last term (two goals and four assists). However, a lack of security of starts and the presence of more attractive alternatives in the mid-priced bracket renders Willian a peripheral figure in Fantasy terms.

Payet Delivers In Another Away Win

Dimitri Payet notched his fourth goal in five outings as West Ham United registered a 3-1 win over 10-men Crystal Palace.

Priced at 8.1, the France international now boasts five goals and three assists in his maiden Premier League campaign, having produced attacking returns in five consecutive starts. The Hammers’ form is such they rank second for goals scored (20) behind Manchester City (24), encouraging investment in Payet regardless of their tricky schedule (CHE, wat, EVE, tot).

Manuel Lanzini (5.3) grabbed a goal and assist against the Eagles, underlining his value as a fourth or fifth midfielder in our 15-man squads. Pitched at the same valuation, Victor Moses popped up with his third assists in five matches and looks to be growing in stature under Slaven Bilic – he is, however, ineligible for the home clash with Chelsea next time out.

Carl Jenkinson netted his second goal in as many appearances for the Irons, having tallied just one in his 69 league outings prior to Gameweek 8. The Arsenal loanee is the prime pick among West Ham’s 5.0-priced defenders, but the fact that Bilic’s men failed to batten down the hatches in their previous four match-ups limits Jenkinson’s appeal as they gear-up for their testing run of opponents.

Cabaye Back On the Spot

Yohan Cabaye converted from the penalty spot for the third match on trot as Palace fell to their fourth defeat in five home clashes.

The former Newcastle midfielder presents the safest route into the Eagles attack but has only scored one goal from open play this campaign. Given that Alan Pardew’s troops square up to Leicester, Manchester United and Liverpool over the next trio of Gameweeks, prospective investors might be inclined to hold fire until their fixtures turn kinder from Gameweek 13 (SUN, NEW).

Dwight Gayle earned the assist for Cabaye’s penalty but then received a second yellow less than 20 minutes later for a challenge on Cheikhou Kouyate. The diminutive marksman now sits out Palace’s trip to the Foxes next weekend and will likely struggle to forge his way back into the starting line-up for the Red Devils’ visit, considering that Connor Wickham is closing in on a return.

Van Gaal’s Shuffles The Pack In Goodison Victory

Wayne Rooney chalked up his second goal in three starts as Manchester United registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.

In terms of the Red Devils’ high-ownership players, Anthony Martial failed to net for the third consecutive start, while Juan Mata came off at the break – Louis van Gaal confirmed in his post-match press conference that the Spaniard was withdrawn for tactical reasons.

Memphis Depay missed out against the Toffees, with Anthony Martial occupying the left flank role – a concerning development for Martial’s 30% ownership. Rooney subsequently pushed up to the lone-striker berth, allowing Ander Herrera – who recorded a goal and an assist – to operate in “the hole”. It was a successful exercise that should prompt Van Gaal to retain all three in those respective slots for the Gameweek 10 Manchester derby.

Van Gaal enacted couple of changes in defence, replacing Daley Blind and Ashley Young with Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones. Although Rojo and Chris Smalling notched assists, it’s Jones (5.2) – who comes in at 0.6 cheaper than Matteo Darmian (5.8) – who really catches the eye. Should he cement a start alongside Smalling, Jones would be elevated to a key Fantasy consideration.

Indeed, the Red Devils’ schedule beyond Gameweek 10 (cry, WBA, wat, lei, WHU, bou, NOR) throws up a procession of match-ups that look likely to help Van Gaal’s side add to their clean sheet tally.

Listless Toffees A Cause For Concern

The reinstatement of John Stones and Seamus Coleman at the back couldn’t prevent Everton from shipping three goals and posting their first defeat in six matches.

The lacklustre nature of the Merseysiders’ performance was underlined by the fact they mustered just three shots on target. Although a trip to Arsenal next time out might have Ross Barkley (no returns in four) owners contemplating his sale, it’s worth noting that Everton enjoy an excellent run of fixtures from Gameweek 11 (SUN, why, AVL, bou, CRY, nor, LEI, new) that could propel them up the league table and renew our faith in their Fantasy assets.

Gunners Ease Though the Gears At Vicarage Road

Arsenal handed Watford a 3-0 defeat courtesy of goals from Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud. The former netted his sixth goal in three league outings, having fired in three goals for Chile during the international break. The shining light in a Gunners attack that’s tallied 11 goals in the past three Gameweeks, Sanchez is sure to be a captaincy favourite despite a testing batch of upcoming fixtures (EVE, swa, TOT).

Ramsey’s first goal of the campaign reminds us of his latent potential, but Mesut Ozil – who assisted two goals against the Hornets – is arguably the stronger alternative to Ramsey and Theo Walcott among Arsenal’s mid-priced supporting cast. The 8.4-priced Ozil appears to be playing his best football since making the switch to England’s top flight and, along with City’s Kevin De Bruyne, looks set to head the list of top assisters this season based on current form.

At the back, Hector Bellerin earned his second assist in three outings. He and Nacho Monreal (two assists against Leicester) are given license to maraud forward in Arsene Wenger’s chosen 4-2-3-1 set-up and have picked up clean-sheet points in five of their last seven starts. Gabriel missed out due to a minor surgical procedure and will now find it hard to usurp Per Mertesacker in central defence. Tuesday’s teamsheet for the vital Champions League clash with Bayern will tell us more on the current pecking order.

Berahino Strikes As Baggies Shut-out Sunderland

Saido Berahino settled a pretty uneventful affair against Sunderland with his third goal in four matches. The 6.2-priced forward has scored 13 of his last 17 goals at The Hawthorns, revealing his clear home bias.

Considering that Leicester – who’ve conceded 12 goals in their last five outings – are the next visitors in the West Midlands, Berahino’s 7.5% ownership will be hopeful of further attacking returns in Gameweek 11.

Tony Pulis’ disciplined brand of football continues to deliver defensive points, with the Baggies registering their fifth shut-out of the campaign – no side has managed more. Boaz Myhill reaffirmed his status as a bonus-points magnet, scooping two bonus for the second time in five outings, while 48,000 new Craig Dawson owners were vindicated in their acquisition.

  13. The Cedric Clean Sheet - A Letter To FPL
    @FuzzyWarbles
    • 13 Years
    8 years, 6 months ago

I left the message board for reasons I want to be consistent about, but I wanted to share a letter I wrote to FPL regarding the Cedric situation yesterday. Just copying it here, leaving it for some or nobody to discuss.

    Cheers

    Fuzzy

    Hello,

Faithful FPL manager for several years here, and a fantasy Premier League pundit/writer for NBC Sports/Rotoworld.com -

I am sure I am not the only one to be contacting FPL about this but as a Cedric owner, I cannot help but take a special interest in the awarding of 59 minutes for Cedric in yesterday's match, turning a potential 6 point earner into a 1 pointer, costing 100s if not 1,000s of spots in the rankings for Cedric owners.

Here is the deal, as this isn't the first time the discussion has been raised before and bandied about on FPL message boards in the past -

By my memory, Cedric walked over the touchline with Yoshida coming on at approximately 59:42 in the match. I actually have a screenshot from my FPL team that shows Cedric getting 60 minutes and the 4 points for a clean sheet. You can find this screenshot on my Twitter account @FuzzyWarbles, so at some moment in time, the FPL game recognized Cedric as having earned 60 minutes.

Now, I understand what the retort would be here - that a player has to complete a FULL 60 minutes to reach the magical 60 minute threshold where additional points can be accrued. Cedric left a few seconds before then, so hence, he does not get credit for 60 minutes.

Here is my argument - the final stats show Cedric on 59 minutes and Yoshida on 31 minutes - as any starter and his sub replacement will always add up to 90 minutes. What I don't understand is - going by the logic behind giving Cedric only 59 minutes, shouldn't Yoshida then only be credited for 30 minutes? Yoshida, to have played a FULL 31 minutes, would have had to step onto the pitch at precisely 59:00 or somewhere between 58:01 and 59:00, right?

Basically, in these situations, one of the players, seemingly always the sub, is going to get credited for a bit more time than they actually played, whereas the starter will never be given such credit.

There are only two ways I see to make this fair, one would not reward Cedric owners, the other would, but either way, would be more fair in my view than the current solution to this scenario:

    1) Cedric is awarded 59 minutes played, Yoshida is awarded 30 minutes, NOT 31. As that is the amount of minutes both players FULLY completed. (Yes, that adds up to only 89 minutes but that is still more accurate than the current setup, if the FPL point of view is that a player must COMPLETE X amount of minutes to earn said minutes.) In this scenario, Cedric had 59, Yoshida had 30, the other minute was shared with neither getting credit. Again, this does not reward the Cedric owner, but would make more sense and be consistent with the standard of playing minutes earned in FULL.

    2) And this is how I feel it should be handled in substitute situations. During a substitution, the player coming off should have his final minute rounded up or down, with the same applied to the substitute, with the 30 second mark of the minute in question the dividing line. For instance, if Cedric steps off the pitch at 59:20, then his final minute is rounded DOWN to 59, and Yoshida is credited with 31, as the latter completed MORE of the minute in question. Conversely, and this would apply to yesterday's event, if the starter comes off after the 30 second mark of a given minute, then his minute is rounded UP, while the sub's minute is rounded down. This still allows the minutes to add up to 90 in total for every substitution in every match, if for some reason that is required within the design of the game to function properly, having 90 minutes add up among the XI positions.

I suppose the only thing that could get controversial from that approach is if the player coming off/on occurs precisely on the 30 second mark of a minute. Who gets what in that situation because it could theoretically happen. Aye, it could. But we are talking then about something that would happen 60 times less often in these substitutions. as they would only have an effect in fantasy if that substitution occurred PRECISELY on the 59:30 mark. So yes, maybe there is no perfect solution for this, but the suggestion I offer would eliminate situations like the one with Cedric yesterday except perhaps once every few years when a substitution occurs precisely at 59:30.

I would appreciate a response on this, as I know I am speaking on behalf of many other fantasy managers out there. I am hoping though the reply isn't simply "the starter has to complete the 60th minute" because again, by that rationale, why is Yoshida given 31 minutes when he only featured for 30 and change?

    Cheers

I'm very interested in the outcome.

It's basically dependent on the data provider's opinion of the minutes and that has to be final. I doubt the FPL are going to entertain the idea of questioning that each time something like this is contested.

Having said that, I think the crux of this is whether FPL round up or round down the minute date they receive.

For our part, we registered 60 minutes for Cedric but I think we round up to the nearest minute. I'd have to check with Ed.

We obviously get our minutes from OPTA and I presume the FPL is the same but they may round down. WhoScored also use Opta data and have also recorded 60 minutes.

I know that Opta provide event data and record minutes and seconds so it's then down to the FPL whether they choose to round up or down.

I guess the FPL could just answer this by saying that they round down.

Yoshida's minutes were probably only rounded up because they were presumably calculated by subtracting Cedric's minutes, after they had been rounded down, from 90.

I understand where I live in a world now where a 5 minute read can overwhelm most people.

The nature of the subject required the approach I took to be comprehensive in the point I was making.

Fwiw, the length doesn't bother me or, I imaging, ILF. It's the, in my view, disproportionate seriousness about a minor issue that should be water under the bridge. I understand your points Fuzzy. Maybe a swift copy off to FPL Towers for future changes to their timing around points might do it.

As you say if the case were made more general at a time the points were not applicable to one's own team, it might be better received there and here.

Making it a "How about these rule changes for next season dear FPL Towers?

That is a very good point.

Whether Yoshida's time is counted as 30 or 31 minutes makes absolutely no difference to FPL points - the only thing it affects is the calculation of points per 90 minutes stats.

But if he comes on at 30.42 and his time is counted as 60 minutes rather than 59 then he gets 2 appearance points instead of 1, plus an additional 4 points for a clean sheet if his team do not concede any goals while he is on the pitch.

He doesn't deserve these points any more than Cedric did for playing 59.42 minutes, and that is the point that FPL ought to consider clarifying the rules for.

...The current rules effectively assume that all substitutions occur at zero seconds past the minute - like all race horses having their official birthdays on January 1st.

Actually, it must be pretty rare for a substitution to occur in the 31st minute.

If a player comes on in the 31st minute and FPL count his 59 and a bit minutes as 60 minutes, and as a result of this he gets an extra appearance point, plus a possible 1 or 4 clean sheet points, plus possibly the odd extra bonus point, I would be willing to accept that as part of the luck of the game.

So on second thoughts it probably wouldn't really be worthwhile for FPL to change anything for such a rare occurrence. However, it might be interesting to hear the Scoutcast panel's views on the subject later this week.

From the laws of the game (law 3, number of players):

      - The substitute only enters the field of play after the player being replaced has left
      - The substitution is completed when a substitute enters the field of play
      - From that moment, the substitute becomes a player and the player he has replaced becomes a substituted player.

It's pretty simple as far as I see it - if the player being subbed off exits the field of play with 59:59 or less on the clock, he doesn't pick up the second point for playing 60 minutes. Whether the sub is credited with 30 minutes or 31 minutes is entirely immaterial.

The consensus in the sporting world (not only footbal) is that 59:xx is the 60th minute. 00:00-01:00 is the first minute, and thus 59:00-60:00 is the 60th minute. Sportcommentators and betting companies also use this, but FLP do not.

FPL clearly specify in their rules that ''A clean sheet is awarded for not conceding a goal whilst on the pitch and playing at least 60 minutes''. Thus a player must complete the 60th minute to earn two points and a potential clean sheet. It is not enough to have played in the 60th minute, it MUST be completed.

However I agree that Yoshida did not get 31 minutes. Some would say that this does not matter. But it might next time, if the change is made 29:XX and.

      End of discussion?

NO!!!!!. If Cedric did play at least 20 seconds overtime in first half, he would actually have in total played at least 60 minutes, and should be valid for 2 points + CS. This kind of calculations would be difficult to make in all cases, so FPL should make the rule more clear: ''A clean sheet is awarded for not conceding a goal whilst on the pitch and playing at least 60 OFFICIAL minutes'.

PS: I have Cedric and would love for FPL to round up.

Fuzzy - sorry I am late to the party, but if a goal was score within 30 seconds of a game starting, would FPL put the time down as "0 minutes"? Not at all. They are playing in the first minute of the match.
If a player makes it to 59 minutes, technically, they are playing in the 60th minute of that match, so should get 60 minutes.
"When a child is born, they are in their first year of their life - simple."

Nothing I typed will make any difference as I presume that emails to FPL Towers fall on deaf ears and only get an auto-reply, but the placement of minutes played, does seem strange.

None of your suggestions would improve the current system (having a 59.30 cut off is no different from having a 60.00 one for starters). It's a hugely annoying part of the game but one we all have to live with

I actually find the reverse situation more annoying. Which is watching as a rivals player comes off after 60 plus with a clean sheet and then that team concede. I remember chambers twice last season getting nine points despite only playing 61 minutes in both matches (one coming off and then seeing the team draw 1 all, and one coming on when they were already one down)

I am sorry Fuzzy, but I disagree with you.

The simple fact that Cedric didn't complete 60 minutes has to be taken into account. Yoshida's minutes are irrelevant.

About the rounding up thing, it'll only make matters more messy, and then those whose defenders get subbed off at, let's say 59:05, will start complaining as technically, the 60th minute has started after the clock hits 59:00.

I am not a Cedric owner, but even if I was, I wouldn't be complaining.

Much easier to write to all Premier League managers and ask them not to substitute players in the 59th minute except in emergency situations.
Alternatively maybe Koeman was head to head with someone who had cedric in his team.

      Agree.

yeah but if Yoshida consequently played 30:30, then you would use your "little thing called the rules of mathematics" and round his time up too.

That would leave the two players totaling 91 minutes. One rounded up to 60, the other to 31. Hence the issue in that rare occurrence.

I am simply of the opinion that if FULL minutes have meaning in one situation, it should in all situations, or that the subbed minute should be rounded up or down.

Its not a question of me NOT GETTING IT, TM.

Christ, even Mark chimed in about the concept of rounding. Not saying he completely shares my opinion, but he at least sees something to it rather than just saying "60 full minutes" over and over. There is a rule in place, you define the rule. I simply say the game IN MY OPINION would be better served in altering the rule. And the basis of that opinion is, if one person playing a FULL amount of X minutes is so vital, it should be applied to all players, no matter how many minutes they have played.

It's only vital for appearance points and clean sheet points.

is still think it is wrong for yoshida, who played less than 31 minutes gets rounded up and Cedric who was on the pitch longer than Yoshida in the 6oth minute is rounded down.

I get your point. There are other fantasy formats though where there is a 60 minute threshold for clean sheets and Cedric earned it. At least one other anyway.

Topic exhausted. Im not saying you are wrong, you are interpreting the rule as it is set. I am saying, the game is better served in that spot to round the number to the nearest minute.

Other rules have changed in the game over time, what qualifies as an assist, how BAPs are awarded, etc, its not like FPL has these commandments etched in impenetrable stone set for all time,

I mearly stated an argument for what I think is a better system for the future,

You dont have to like it, you can think its the most stupid idea ever, thats fine. But just accept that I am not alone in expressing the idea I presented as a valid one to improve this scenario. Its not some sort of "untouchable" subject.

                Cool?

Only 90 minutes for each position or 990 for a team.
Agree it's exhausted beyond doubt. All subs get rounded down is the simple explanation.
At least you had a bit of fun for the day, here and twitter.

Ah I see. Yeah would probably round the latter down as it has no points impact.

Would look a bit complicated on the rules page however. 60 full minutes is easier to understand.

Not sure why there is such resistance to your point either!

Cracking article where a man spends words moaning about another man spending words asking for a look at a rule change.

        In his first paragraph:

On average, I spend about seven minutes sorting my team out every Friday. It’s a bit if fun.

a "bit if fun"? Know what else is a "bit IF fun"? Spell check.

Fighting a losing battle, many times we see subs come on for less than 30secs at end of games but they still get 1pt for your team if they you own them, FPL cant say 0mins otherwise they cant give that player any points despite appearing on the pitch so the Yoshida thing is called tough luck im afraid and Cedric subbed before 60:00 so no CS pure and simple

      NEXT!
