The ScoutCast – Episode 189 – Trapdoor

Have we fallen hook, line and sinker? After taking a beating by a cast of talent sacrificed in our Gameweek 33 Wildcards, it certainly feels we’ve obliviously wandered over a trapdoor and slammed back down to earth.

We’re back up to full strength in the ScoutCast as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me to compare the bruises inflicted by our Gameweek 33 refresh. We endevour to remain optimistic, clinging to the hope that the Gameweek 34 bench boost chip will deliver and help us balm the damage from a disastrous weekend.

Judging by the line of questioning from the community, we’re not the only ones smarting. The four of us pick through your bout of queries, before looking ahead the weekend and the Gameweek that could yet revive our seasons.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first aired live on our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get a heads up on future broadcasts.

Further to earlier post, have discovered I can afford Sanchez (TC) if I do

    Kane > Origi
    Mahrez > Sanchez (-8)

Worth it? Or is it a risk too far?

      Keep Kane.

Very risky losing Kane IMO. Will Origi score more points in 2 games as opposed to Kane v Stoke . Maybe Sanchez makes that risk worthwhile .

Cheers all. Kane is now a differential in my ML as it stands, so may be worth sticking and rolling the dice on another TC.

    Morning guys.

    Bolasie+Barkley+Gabriel to Alli+Iwobi+Cresswell for -8 seem okay?

Rest of the team is: -

    Robles /de Gea
    Fuchs / Delaney / Gabriel / Sakho / Bellerín
    Barkley / Payet / Sánchez / Mahrez / Bolasie
    Martial / Lukaku / Agüero

    1FT, £2.4m in the bank

    Having doubts....

    A) BB - Robles, Milner, Bolasie, Delaney
    B) TC Sanchez?

The alternative BB in 37 is unlikely to be much better.

A - the alternative BB will be far worse.

Hi all....playing bench boost this weekend but expect team to be heavily rotated....what is my best bet?

    A
Delaney to fosu and hope-for the best with numerous risks?

    B
Gabriel and coutinho to smalling and iwobi for a hit....getting rid of 1 maybe 2 rotation risks but also means an extra hit for gw35....however expect coutinho to only play one of next 3 league games so he may need to go next week anyway...

    Team is

    Robles darlow
    Bellerin sakho Gabriel Simpson Delaney
    Sanchez payet lanzini kdb coutinho
    Kun lukaku martial

    Thanks!

    what do you think?

    KDB > Nasri
    and
    Delaney > Smalling
    for a -4

Which frees up cash to get in next week.
    martial > Pelle
    Lukaku > KAne

Like? I know getting rid of KDB is a risk, but Nasri for the long run is a sure bet i think.

    1. McQueen

I'd stick with KDB. I'm in the same position. He's gonna play at least 30 min in games where's he's rested. Enough time for him to do the damage.

I'm thinking Delany to Fosu, and willing to take the risk. Hopefully Fosu plays at least next two.

Everton press conference at 9am apparently. I will wait on that before ditching Barkley.

FWIW I'm concerned that Milner will get rotated. Nasri is already a huge selection risk. So the alternatives to Barkley are slim, unless you can get Iwobi.

Only united defense i trust right now is ddg... given rotations, defensive breakdowns, and "do or die" reality of teams they are playing in GW 34. Given the blank in GW 35, even DDG is not worth the hit to get him in.
