The ScoutCast – Episode 191 – Penultimate

One more Gameweek. One more ScoutCast. The final whistle has almost blown on a remarkable season but we’re determined to fully exploit the final throws.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we open a bumper 80-minute show with our dedication to Leicester City’s extraordinary title win. We then quickly shift to take on another raft of community questions as thoughts turn to Gameweek 37’s double fixtures.

We run the rule over the protagonists, assessing West Ham’s assets, Eden Hazard’s renaissance and even make an attempt to find a reason to make a late investment in Norwich City. Then necks are put on the block as we review the weekend fixtures, coming clean on our current double Gameweek transfer and captaincy plans.

The ScoutCast is first aired live on our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get a heads up on future broadcasts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Also worth selling Clyne for a hit?
Could be Cresswell or Moreno maybe?

There's no point in doing Clyne to Moreno. They have about the same risk of rotation.

Even if Clyne plays versus Chelski would expect him to concede..not much upside IMO. If you lose Iwobi would you bring in a different Arsenal asset in 38?

Even if I don't lose Iwobi, he's going out for another Arsenal asset in GW38 because he probably won't even start then.

It's not that crazy. Basically every game Man Utd is involved in is a low scoring one and they play Watford who's place in the prem is secured and therefore have nothing to play for. I'd rather have PvA though but I assume you already have him?

      1. bigbudgie
        • 9 Years

Yes have PVA and Rojo for this DGW. Also trying to keep hits to a minimum so at the moment I'm on Ozil > Hazard which leaves 4.8m for a def. If I went Willian or Fabregas I could get Cress or Smalling of course, but I wanna be with the cool kids on the Hazard bus.

Yes only because first one is match against Manutd where its definite no CS as Norwich can sit back hoping for 0-0 as its must win for them

Which will you prefer for remaining matches?

    1) Martial + Cresswell (LVG says he may rotate some players so Martial may get rest?)
    2) Caroll + Smalling (But will Sakho share pitch time?)

B for me. United are great at defending, Hammers are great at attacking. The flip side of each team isn't that good.

And Sakho plays on the right these days. Carroll is nailed imo.

    Cech, King, Simpson, Klose

  10. Mr Sarcastic

    Ditch one Kane or Lukaku?

    Lukaku
    - dgw, but both games away against tough defences, not even sure to start
    - gw38 home against Norwich which could be a good or a bad thing...but he has some finalday history

    Kane
    - no doubles, but last homegame and they could run riot (or the opposite)
    - gw38 away against Newcaste which could again be a good or a gad thing

So it's pretty much games vs form thing here.

Need your help gents.. Looking to ship KDB for free and possibly Coutinho for -4 ( after last night's result I don't think he'll start any of the two games next round). I was planning on doing just KDB > Payet and TC Payet, but now I think I should get Fabregas as well for Coutinho? Would require a hit tough.. Or should I get Noble+Hazard?

    Summarizing:

    A: Coutinho+Payet
    B Fabregas+Payet ( -4)
    C Noble+Hazard ( -4)

Sturridge owners can't be too pleased with him playing the full game last night. I was thinking about buying today; not now.

That goal (which looked very lucky as he tried to go across the keeper) will have given him enormous confidence. As if he wasn't on fire already. Versus his old club on Wednesday night. Even if I have to treat him as a SGW player I think he's worth it. I'm talking about if you already own him.

Oh yeah I wouldn't sell, but I certainly won't be buying now.

I'm pretty confident he'll get minutes in both games, albeit reduced ones for Watford. Klopp's rotating out of necessity as the majority of his players have a full (and then some) season in their legs, but Sturridge hasn't.

I'm not convinced by three Pool players given the high risk rotation.
