Dugout Discussion – West Brom vs Middlesbrough

Sunday’s events get underway at the Hawthorns as West Brom seek to end a barren run of results on home turf against a confident Middlesbrough side.

Tony Pulis’ men have earned just a single point from their last five matches in front of their own fans, having lost out 2-1 to Everton in Gameweek 2.

In contrast, the visitors arrive in the midlands having earned their first three points on their return to the top flight courtesy of a 2-1 win at Sunderland in the Wear-Tees derby.

Boro are forced to shuffle their back four in the absence of left-back George Friend through injury, but Daniel Ayala is fit to start and makes his first appearance of the season.

As for West Brom, they shift Jonny Evans to central defence with Jonas Olsson dropping to the bench. Brendan Galloway makes his first Baggies start in the league at left-back, while young Sam Field makes his debut in midfield in what looks to be a five-man setup. Saido Berahino and Craig Gardner make way.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    How important do you value opinions from posters on here?

    Why is there such a taboo on this site regarding opinion over facts?

    Earlier today I got slated for expressing an opinion that I expect more for my money regarding Sanchez. I stated I wanted a player who can form a backbone of my side for 38 weeks for that price, a permanent fixture, who I don't have to worry about injury or form.

    Apparently I don't pay attention, I'm a joker, stupid and not very smart.

    Every time someone posts they are relying on opinions as feedback. The Scout Picks, Scout Squad and Captain Poll are formed by opinion and are integral and beloved contributions to this site.

      You're being a touch over sensitive, I think.

      So far this season, only Hazard and Sanchez have shown themselves as having consistency and explosiveness. We know Ozil has consistent from past seasons too.

      It's perfectly reasonable to think Sanchez is overpriced, but you won't find a more explosive midfielder for the season.

      Depends on who they are. There are some guys who know what they're talking about, are respectful and you can have good debates/discussions with and then there are the other guys....and there seem to be more of them this year. Don't mind them. Good bit of trolling going on too.

      Once posters start getting personal, just ignore, it says more about them than it does about you.
