Before we profile the best picks for your eight-player DraftKings line up let’s take a look at the matches taking place tonight across Groups E to H.

In Group E, Tottenham Hotspur travel to Bayer Leverkusen where in-form Son Heung-Min spent two years before the move to North London. The South Korean was utilised as a sub in the weekend draw at West Brom, indicating that Mauricio Pochettino sees him having a crucial role to play in Germany.

Real Madrid are heavy favourites at home to a Legia Warsaw side that lost 6-0 in their last away match in Group F to Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile, the German club visit Lisbon having failed to win their last three matches – a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid was followed by defeat to Bayer Leverkusen and a draw with Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Leicester City appear to be focusing on staying top of Group G after losing 3-0 to Chelsea in the league. Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani started on the bench against the Blues so should be fresh for the visit of a Copenhagen side that have kept four successive clean sheets in the league.

Juventus lead Group H on goal difference, with a 4-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb following a goalless draw with second-placed Sevilla. The Italian Champions are clear favourites against a Lyon side that have lost three out of their last four in all competitions.

Group E

CSKA Moscow v AS Monaco

Bayer Leverkusen v Tottenham Hotspur

Group F

Sporting CP v Dortmund

Real Madrid v Legia Warsaw

Group G

Leicester City v FC Copenhagen

Club Brugge v Porto

Group H

Dinamo Zagreb v Sevilla

Olympique Lyonnais v Juventus

Here are some of the most exciting targets to consider for the Champions League matches this evening:

D – Felipe – Porto – $3,900

A threat at set-pieces, the Brazilian scored against Roma in qualification and has notched a league goal against Sporting Lisbon. Priced very favourably, the centre-back could pick up points at both ends of the pitch in the road trip to Club Brugge.

D – Sergio Escudero – Sevilla – $5,000

The Sevilla defence have kept back-to-back clean sheets so far in Group H, promoting their defensive assets. Left-back Sergio Escudero supplied six crosses last time out to help accrue a 17-point haul against Lyon and boasts some impressive underlying defensive stats in La Liga.

D – Dani Alves – Juventus -$6,500

A goal and assist against Dinamo Zagreb, as well as 17 crosses across two UCL appearances, means we’re considering including the ex-Barcelona defender, despite the hefty price tag.

M – Toni Kroos -Real Madrid – $7,900

The German created eight chances over the first two Matchdays, and Luka Modric’s injury makes his passing range even more important for the Spanish side. Real should guarantee goals against Legia Warsaw, and since the midfielder served up two assists against Betis at the weekend, pairing him with Cristiano Ronaldo looks a worthy strategy.

M – Thomas Lemar – Monaco – $7,600

The youngster scored a goal against Spurs and has impressed in Ligue 1 of late, scoring three goals in five outings. A share of corner duties should bring points from crosses, a crucial part of the scoring system in DraftKings.

M/F – Son Heung-Min/Erik Lamela – Tottenham Hotspur – $7,800/$7,900

Son has scored five goals in seven appearances this term and looks guaranteed to lead the line having started on the bench at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

It could also be another chance for Lamela to shine, given that the Argentine has assisted both of Spurs’ goals this in their European campaign so far.

F – Islam Slimani -Leicester City – $8,200

Another asset benched on Saturday, the Algerian is kinder on the budget than Jamie Vardy ($8,800) and Riyad Mahrez ($9,400) for tonight’s clash. Slimani proved to be decisive for the Foxes last time out in Europe, scoring the winner against Porto to make it three goals in five appearances.

F – Andre Silva – Porto – $8,000

The Portuguese forward has netted three times in the last two league matches and registered four goals for his country during the international break. In that form, he looks good value against a Club Brugge side that have shipped seven goals over the opening two Group G matches.

F – Paulo Dybala – Juventus – $9,800

The Argentinian has also scored three in two league outings to follow the goal against Dinamo Zagreb on Matchday 2. Across 12 appearances in all competitions, the forward has had 35 shots on goal and registered 46 crosses to earn 12.8 FPPG on DraftKings.

F – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – $10,100

A late leveler at home to Hertha Berlin on Friday evening took the Dortmund forward’s tally to six goals in as many appearances. The German outfit have netted eight times in two Champions League clashes and Aubameyang looks their man in form away to Sporting Lisbon.

Not a bad idea, but a lot of midfield options atm. Most have double Arsenal mid right now so no space for two Liverpool assets

This. Not enough room to fit 2 Liverpools mids in mainly due to most already having 2 Arsenal mids in. Might end up downgrading Sanchez to a Liverpool mid though

    3. Wild Rover

No room unless I switch to a 5-3-2

If one of Sterling, Wally or Sanchez gets injured I would do it (Coutinho already in)

They have that many fantasy scoring options that I think you either have two or none. They seem to take their turns scoring. Choose not to have any myself.

It makes a lot of sense. The spread of likely goalscorers for Liverpool is much broader than for some other teams. So either you have none or, if you think Liverpool will score enough goals to justify it, you have 2 and even out the odds a bit.

Having none works for me. 🙂

I'm bringing in Firmino soon to have a midfield of:

          Theo, Sanchez, Coutinho and Firmino.

I think 2 liverpool mids makes alot of sense in view of their fixtures and relative stability of starts. I could see them putting 4 and 5 past poorer teams and the midfielders scoring alot of points.

What to do with this team? 1 FT and 0.4 INB. Considering cashing in the 0.4 on Capoue (> Fletcher) which leaves me with 0.9 to upgrade somewhere else

    Pickford

    Sanchez Firmino Walcott Son
    Aguero Lukaku Deeney

    Jaku Walker Capoue Amat

I'd rather go for Heaton as a permanent solution to the GK problem, if you're spending the FT on a GK
But you might need to ditch Capoue for that.
Saving seems smarter. Maybe the Europa games makes the choice easier?

I can see myself trying to do Sanchez > KDB in a few weeks. Walcott seems like the best option for the easier Arsenal games. That being said, lots of people are captaining Sanchez, so it's risky

Sanchez will be a season keeper I think.

If fit, he will score at least 15 goals and get a considerable number of assists and clean sheets.
He is also a minimal injury risk.

At the moment I'd probably as soon as get rid of Aguero as Sanchez

A but maybe look at Bony instead of Benteke. Dropping Sanchez when he's still playing central can't be a good idea.

He was much better last weekend apparently (I only saw highlights). But that's why I said "look at", it would take a leap of faith to get him in immediately.

I do believe he'll come good soon though.

          Karius vs DDG
Mou showed that he was willing and capable of foring a 0-0 away vs a team in attacking form.
Then there is Burnley at OT.

On a WC I would go Clyne, but I feel a FT is better spent else than dragging Valencia out now

    No idea what to do.

.4 ITB, 1 FT, WC available

    Schmeichel
    Valencia / Pieters / Stones
    Sanchez / Redmond / Antonio / Firmino
    Aguero / Deeney / Lukaku

    Jaku / Capoue / Evans / Friend

    Problems - Antonio, Redmond, Capoue.
Pretty happy with forwards and defence.

Id keep Antonio for another week.

Redmond at City I don't see doing much, but a bit like me you could only go to 6.3 at which price there's not much attractive in midfield. You could always ditch for someone like Allen or Snodgrass?

50/50. Coutinho will score better long term (till Christmas), but Walcott will score well in the next 2 (at least)

Potential WC Team if you are brave enough to go without Aguero/Ibra in a 3-5-2

    Foster Grant 😎

    Rose // Holebas // A Smith // Amat // Martina

    Walcott // Sanchez // Sterling // Firmino // Coutinho

    Costa // Lukaku // Diomande

    Not too shabby eh?

If it was KDB instead of Sterling I would be impressed 😛

I prefer 3/4/3 to having Sterling as the 5th mid

my team has the same 4 mids, Aguero / Luk / Wilson, Walker, Holebas, Williams

      Really good.
Personally I wouldn't be too happy with so many eggs in the Arsenal and Liverpool mids but that's only because I prefer to watch more matches with an interest in them than fewer.
      Good stuff.

Pretty poor if u ask me. Only sterling for Man city coverage. No Spurs attack. No arsenal defence. Just chasing points is all that team is

Hi guys. Who should go for Walcott this week?

    - Antonio (good fixture but maybe playing RB)

    - Redmond (bad fixtures and EL but playing up front with decent stats)

    Help is much appreciated!

I was at the game. He was better and he likes the 3-4-3 apparently as it lets him play more centrally. But "improved no end" is a bit of a stretch. He had a decent game.

I was there too, thought he had a good game but just didn't have that hunger to go direct for goal that would make you want to bring him back in.

I'm 4 transfers away but exact cash from this beauty.

      -------------------Grant---------------------
      ---------Clyne Stones Holebas---------
      Sanchez DeBruyne Firmino Walcott
      ---------Aguero Lukaku Austin----------
      -----------------------------------------------------
      Pickford Coquelin Amat M.Wilson.

      Transfers would be:

Deeney > Austin (FT this week)
Capoue > Coquelin (-4 this week)
Foster > Grant (FT next week)
Sterling to KDB ( either -4 next week or free from gw11)

After typing it all out and looking at bench, I've got doubts. Thoughts?

having coquelin could definetly hurt long term when you want 3 arsenal.
I don't think its too realistic to have that squad in 2gwks with injuries price rises and hits factored in

By the time you get that team you won't want it anymore

Austin has City, Chelsea, Liverpool as 3 of his 4 next games. Don't know why you'd choose now to get him in unless it's chasing last week's points. Wilson is probably a better choice if you must.

Replacing Foster with Grant next week is senseless, Grant maybe has 3 games before Butland is back. The next 3 aren't great for Foster (though WBA are capable of 'surprise' clean sheets) but then he has a very nice run of games. Meanwhile Pickford can cover a couple of the more tricky fixtures.

Sterling to KDB is contentious too given the price difference. Personally I don't want either until CL rotation is out of the way.

Plus the bench is very weak, as you say. So I don't think it's that beautiful myself.

Yeah Cedric is out to 2-3 weeks (including last GW) so expect him to start vs City although I'm dropping him to the bench.

        UCL fantasy,
        Would you WC this team:

        K. Casilla, Vaclik
Dani Alves, Glik, Godín, Marcano, Grimaldo
Andre Silva, Gaitán, Kimmich, Otavio, Tolisso
        CR7, Lewy, Suárez?

to take advantage of double plum fixture for Real, Arsenal, others...

Now is a good time to WC but I think the midfield is too weak. Also, will Gaitan start?

I'd downgrade one of Lewy and Suarez to Sanchez or whoever starts from Morata and Benzema, and upgrade the mid.
