Dugout Discussion – Sunday

Gameweek 13 is now brought to a conclusion with a couple of late Sunday afternoon kick-offs.

Manchester United entertain West Ham United at Old Trafford, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in contention after serving a one-match ban.

The big Swede notched twice in his previous league appearance and faces a defence that’s been breached 14 times in six road trips already.

Juan Mata, meanwhile, earned over 52,000 transfers in last week after bagging the opener at home to Arsenal.

Michail Antonio is the Hammers’ top scoring FPL asset, having served up a goal and assist in the last two Gameweeks. The midfielder has already netted against Man City, West Brom and Spurs away from home, though sits just one yellow shy of a single-match ban today.

Southampton and Everton go head-to-head at St Mary’s in the other 4.30 fixture.

The Saints’ defence kept Liverpool at bay last time out and could come under increased FPL interest if they can repel former manager Ronald Koeman’s Toffees.

Romelu Lukaku has netted just once in his last four league outings and suffered a price drop in the previous Gameweek.

With Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool in the next four, the Everton talisman needs a return to form this afternoon to stave off further transfers out.

    What you reckon?

    A. Lukaku+Coutinho > Kane+Pedro (got Siggy already)

    B. Likelihood of Heaton returning at the weekend?

    Thank you all 🙂

Anyone knows if it's possible to see the exact price a player was bought at on the FPL pages?
I 'm only seeing which week I bought on the transfer history. I bought Lukaku in GW6, during which he rose from 9.2 to 9.3. His value is now 9.8, and my selling price is 9.5. If I understand correctly, if I bought at 9.2, I will loose value when he drops tonight, but if I bought at 9.3, I will not loose value.

Or get Siggy in this week and get Pedro next week, avoiding the -4?

I'm assuming you want Pedro as a double-up .. you could maybe go with the 2nd option .. get walcott in the 2nd week and then Pedro on the 3rd week .. I'd avoid a -4

    Shameless repost...

Worth a couple hits to end up with this lot next week?

    Heaton, Pickford
    Alonso, Evans, Pieters
    Sanchez, Hazard, Firmino, Phillips
    Kun, Kane, Austin

Would be Lukaku, Cout, Wally and Walker out for Pieters, Sanchez, Phillips, Kane.

Walker isn't getting any assists though and clean sheets are hard to come by. Money might be better spent on sanchez?

Money definitely better spent on an attacker but once Alderweireld and Lamela come back i to the side should see more from Walker as an attacking threat and defensive points

My transfer can go 1 of 2 ways this week

    Out - kun / cou / luk
    In - kane/ costa / firm

    Or

    Out - fuchs / cou / luk
    In - kane / firm / 4.0 def

Both options are a minus 8, I am 1.6 mil ranked so prepared to take hits
Other defs are vertongen, alonso, holebas, amat.

    Thoughts?
